The staff was nice and they had an acoustic guitar player for the evening that was very pleasant to listen to. We ordered the "Corn Ribs" that were really tasty. Our cheese burger and roast beef sandwich was really good. Even though we didn't order steaks those around us did and not only did they look and smell delicious the customers I asked about them said they tasted "excellent, divine, cooked perfectly". So it was worth the drive down and barren stretch of Rt 321 to find the place.

They really know how to treat single diners here, which is rare these days. I liked that I got the best table in the place, and that they didn't attempt to seat me at the bar. My waitress was friendly and incredibly attentive. She helped me select a mocktail while going over the daily specials, and she even brought me the dessert menu near the beginning of my meal so I could plan ahead. The menu had many options in all price ranges. You can get sandwiches, burgers, salads and more high-priced entrees like mahi mahi, scallops and filet mignon. I went with the daily special, which was the Oscar Filet Mignon. It came with hollandaise sauce and grilled shrimp, and that combination intrigued me. I had the Party Punch mocktail, but it was perfect with strawberries, basil, pineapple and ginger ale. The filet mignon and topping were also amazing. I even had room for dessert and knew I had to try the blackberry wine cake, and that didn't disappoint either. This was a very special meal for me, as it marked the first leg of my trip to finish visiting all 100 North Carolina counties. With the great atmosphere, service, and food, Fourk set the bar incredibly high for the rest of my journey. I might need to make another special trip just to dine here again. The murder mystery nights and the live music nights are an added plus.

Today however we were terribly disappointed in both the food and the service. First we were sat at a terrible table, high traffic area, half booth half chairs. OK, we didn't complain although the room was not very crowded and we could have requested a different table. The hostess did not give us a lunch menu even though it was around noon, so we had to go up and ask for one. The server took our orders and returned with bread and our drinks. The food came out relatively quick but not as we ordered and the soup was cold. We explained it to the waitress and she went for the manager. We explained the issues to the manager and he didn't offer a suitable resolution. So we declined and left. This is untypical of this chain even amongst various locations. The staff seem to be new and inexperienced. Longhorn is a successful chain restaurant and we happily spend our money but expect quality food and professional service. It would not have hurt for the manager to apologize for the mistakes and promptly remove the incorrect order and offer to replace it and perhaps free of charge to keep long time customers satisfied. But not this time. I'm sure this was likely a one time happening, but if this happens again we will likely remove Longhorn from our choice of restaurants.

Not trying it would be a crime! Our Outlaw Ribeye is bone-in, well-marbled, fire-grilled, juicy, and delicious.

LongHorn’s New York Strip is fire-grilled to enhance its distinctive flavor, this thick cut is a steakhouse classic.

So we decided that we were going to give it a try. After looking at a menu and being approached by the host who gave us a brief introduction to the menu we were in for sure. We asked to sit indoors with it being a windy and somewhat humid day. They have plenty of outdoor seating with umbrellas. We were informed later by our excellent server, Ashlee that there is also seating upstairs! We forgot to take a tour! The decor is very chic, but not overly done. We were seated at a table, but booths are available as well. Even the women's restroom with chic. It needed to be picked up a bit but was nice. Our server Ashlee was excellent! Her upbeat personality and friendliness was in the 10 rating! For only being at the restaurant a couple of weeks I think her vibes will keep bringing customers back. But not only her vibes, the food is very good too! My friends were very happy with their main meal, me as well! I had the Chicken Panini and the companion (side dish) I selected was the Pan Fried Corn. Both very good! We did order shareables too! The Southwest egg rolls and the Charcuterie Board. We were very happy with both! I would definitely order them again. I ordered two alcoholic drinks. My first drink was called the Bees Knees (ginger, honey, lemon bourbon) and an Espresso Martini. Both were good. The ginger was very mild in the Bees Knees. We were quite full so we were not able to enjoy our desserts at the restaurant but did order them to go. We ordered the Crème Brûlée and Key Lime Cheesecakes to go. I enjoyed the Key Lime, a good balance of sweet and tart. A little perfumme for me but still good. The feedback on the Crème Brûlée, was ok. well we still enjoy this place some of the things you can't stop eating lol but I must say the last 4 time's we have went out steaks have come out, medium rare instead of medium and if you send it back then it comes back well done it seems like you can't find a happy medium anymore my opinion is have the waiter or waitress to ask the customers to cut into their steaks before they just place them down and walk off to make sure that they're cooked just right this way before they cut into them and find out that it's not the right way they want it and then they have to sit there 15 minutes and wait for the waitress to come back and ask how is everything and look on your face and say it's not cooked right I asked for medium not medium rare then by the time you get your food back, you're so disgusted that you box it up and leave maybe in the kitchen start with the cooks have them to know what medium,, medium rare ,, and well done looks like and then maybe so many people wouldn't have to send their food back. I still love you guys love the atmosphere is wonderful they give you good food when it's cooked right maybe you just need to go on a day where they're not so busy through the weekday if you could probably get a good steak, but on Friday and Saturday nights I don't know. Maybe we're just maybe I'll try medium well next time and see what happens. It could be a while before I go back my score for judging from 1 to ten,, one being in the bad very very bad and 10 being excellent my score for you right now is a 7 . read more

Do not recommend at all. We came tonight for some rolls just as everyone does. We got them, no butter. When we asked for butter our waitress assured us she'd get us more rolls & butter. What did we get? Neither. After ordering the table beside us was complaint that their steak was completely well done and they asked for medium rare. We got ours & had the exact same problem. Our waitress did not clear our table we had to do it ourselves to give us some room to actually eat. Our appetizer came (friend pickles) didn't get ranch and had to wait 15 minutes for it and they were cold by then. All 4 drinks at the table were empty for a good 25. Our friends ordered their appetizer and she confirmed it and then told us she didn't put it in because she wasn't sure she wanted it..., after she confirmed it and told us she put it in. She then ordered food to go which they brought out on plates & then asked her to put in a to go box. AWFUL EXPERIENCE. OH & we asked for rolls a 4th time and we're told they weren't making anymore. After being told 3 other times we were waiting on some to come out of the oven? Ridiculous. We used to go to TXR every week and now we won't be back. read more

My family and I went to the Hickory Nc location for lunch today. We got there when they opened at 11 and waited about 30 minutes to even get into the building. Then they sat my party of 6 at a table made for 4. We were very crowded so we ask our waiter and he put the table extender in for us. About 15 minutes later a very rude waitress named savannah came over and ask if we minded if she took the extender out because they needed to sit another party. I explained to her that we ask the waiter to put it on because we needed more room. After she argued with us for about 3 minutes and was very rude she walked off. I spoke with our waiter which was Lucas whom was awesome and told him about her. He then sent the manager over who was nice and apologized. As we were leaving we saw Savannah and she bumped into my daughter and was just rude. I love Texas Roadhouse but I will not go back if they can't have better services than that. I want to say that Lucas was a great waiter and his services was awesome but the rude lady ruined the place for me. Hopefully the manager did follow thru and speak with her because it seems we weren't the first to complain about her attitude. read more

This was my first time at Texas Roadhouse and I am not usually a steak eater but thought I would give it a try. We entered the restaurant and were greeted immediately by the hostess and within one minute we were seated. We were lucky enough to have Mylinh as our waitress and she was absolutely wonderful. The restaurant was crowded but there was no delay in being seated or in having our order taken and served. The steak and shrimp combo was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing. Mylinh is one of the best waitresses I have ever had. She apologized for not being more attentive and I could not figure out why she was apologizing because I thought the service she provided was absolutely flawless. I like Texas Roadhouse, just not this one. I don't know what it is about this location, but this one is much louder than normal and the people that go here forget to bring any manners with them and think they can act anyway they want to. The last time we ate here, We had to put up with two drunk rednecks and their slutty girlfriends/wives cussing a poor waitress because she was not bringing beers to the table fast enough. It was clear management on duty didn't have the stones to do anything about it as it continued during our entire meal. I felt sorry for the poor girl as her manager chose profits over defending his employee. Needless to say its the last time we have eaten here and we will never come back to this location ever again. If you want a much better TRH experience, eat at any other location but here. At other locations you will have a much better dining experience, its no where near as loud and best of all no rednecks a cussin'! read more

Food was very bland. Not well seasoned came in there waited two hours to be seated, which is normal, for a place like this. Finally got seated waited 40 minutes for our server to even come to our table to get our drinks. She finally put her drinks in I was trying to tell her that we wanted an appetizer, but she ran off. Had to find another waitress to put in our appetizer and bread. Sit there for another hour waiting on our food. I ordered a side salad never received it ask waitress where it was she said no one brought it to you and left and she did not bring it to me after that so I guess it disappeared lol server never came and refilled our drinks. Ask server for ketchup bottle. She never got it as another server she never got it so I got up from my table and got it myself from underneath their stations.
