Texas Roadhouse has started a new has a new policy that if you want a drink with your meal, you must have an I.D. that they SCAN INTO their system. Which means they have all of your information in their system, in which anyone who has access to their computer can now have access to your driver's license information. My wife and I are in our 60's and my wife did not bring her Driver's license so according to their new policy she could not be served a drink. Really! right back to being carded in a bar to make sure we are of age. we are in our 60's. What is next? When we confronted the Manager about it, she said what if you had 4 or 5 drinks then leave and get into a wreck? Then we can prove how many drinks you have had, like it won't show up on a meal ticket. So now they can track what you eat, what you drink, how often you go there, and how much you tip, because they have all your information in their system now and anyone in your party who has a drink. My wife and I told the manager that this is not right, and we will start taking our business elsewhere, her response was that is fine with them, they don't need our business. Waited 30+ minutes when told it would be 5-10. It was BUSY! I used to work as a hostess, so i know how it can be when guests don't leave. Ay-ok. sat at a table of two, and our server Derrik was AMAZING ! Reccomended the strawberry lemonade which i honestly think is the best i've ever had. took our order right away like we wanted to, put in our order, kept the drinks coming without having to ask, checked in on us multiple times, and even gave us kiddie cups so we could take our drinks to go. just fantastic! Ok this is now the second time we have gone to texas roadhouse in fargo nd both times the appetizers have been good both the steaks have been horrible. I ordered a medium rare and received a beyond well done, the other steak was ordered medium and was almost raw. Her shrimp was cold and rubbery and my ribs were ice cold. We sent them both back. They remade her steak and sent my back almost completely burnt. The shrimp were microwaved to warm back up and my ribs just got new sauce and were placed under the heat lamps. I have been to Texas Roadhouse restaurants in at least four different cities, and the experience is almost always exceptional. I have never been to a "fancy" steakhouse, but I would argue passionately that Texas Roadhouse may be one of the best steakhouse in the country. For all of your reading the negative reviews, go between 4-6 pm if you don't like to wait. As much as I like TR, I will leave if the location is packed. Waitress told me that she thought it was just a thick cut so I ended up paying for an 8 ounce and only received a 6 ounce. The salad was the size of a saucer dish and about a half inch thick.
