As other people, all of the same race as the hoodratchet, came in behind us, they were all promptly seat by 2 other hoodratchet hosts. I finally got sick of this and went back to the stand, and was again told our table wasn't cleared, as another party of the same race as the host walked right on in to a table I assume was cleared. Not wanting to create scene because my elderly mother was with me, I just left rather than confront this bullshit treatment Needless to say I won't be back to this racist establishment. read more

Took my grandma here for Valentine's Day because she wanted steak and rolls. Atmosphere was nice, staff was friendly and they treated her really well which I appreciated. Now the downside...I ordered my steak medium, and what came out was definitely closer to medium rare/rare. Bright red center, super soft and not what I asked for. The outside was nicely charred and crispy, which I actually liked, but the inside just didn't match the temp I ordered. I didn't send it back because they were really busy. When you pick Texas Roadhouse, you pretty much know what to expect. I think of consistant quality, not high end,but a fun atmosphere good portions at still affordable prices. The Danville location came through. Country fried steak was great for a sirloin, not gristly very tender. My wife had smothered chicken, great flavor, real chicken breast, a little salty for her taste but she liked it. Only complaint we both ordered house salads for one of our sides, after awhile I asked if the salads were coming with the entree, server said no and brought them. We'll about 2 minutes later our entree was served. Maybe my fault since they are "sides", I never thought to ask for them first. Overall, worth the $ and we had a fun night, great franchise and we enjoy it. read more

Unfortunately this place has quickly gone downhill after being open for not even a year. This evening my wife and I went with another couple and arrived at 4:00. There was already a 30 minute wait but we decided to stay. The issue started as soon as we were called in to be seated. We stood there for a good while waiting for someone to come and actually seat us. A young lady came over and the hostess gave her a piece of paper. The young girl grabbed some rolls and then walked away without even looking at us or saying a word. The hostess then said we should follow her. When we got to the table there were nine menus open and standing on the table covering the entire table. This was the weirdest thing because all the tables had this. We ended up having to fold all the menus and I put the extras on another table beside us that was unoccupied. WTH? It was about 5 minutes before our waitress came to take our drink orders. During that time we noticed there were a very large number of empty tables. It was pretty obvious the restaurant was short-handed thus the long wait. The soft drinks arrived about 10 minutes after they were ordered. A cocktail and a beer that we ordered took longer to get. While waiting for our food we ate a lot of rolls. The roles were the only redeeming part of our visit. My wife and I both ordered prime rib. I had a side of mashed potatoes and a cup of chili. The mashed potatoes were so salty they were unedible. They were supposed to be exchanged for a baked potato but an hour later when we left my baked potato had still never arrived. There was no au jus delivered with our prime rib so I asked for some. Halfway through our meal I flagged down our server again and asked about the au jus. She then said they had to run out. One of our friends had ordered a bowl of chili with his meal. The chili only arrived just before we were finished eating. Our glasses were constantly empty during our visit as well. When we asked for more, they were provided but our table was never bussed. In addition to the plates our meals were on there were four empty baskets from the rolls seven empty glasses and six additional empty small plates covering our table. Oh, plus an empty bottle of beer. It was an absolutely terrible visit with poor food, bad service, long waits, items that we never received but paid for, and a frustrating way to end of the day. Two stars instead of one because of the rolls. This will be our last visit. read more

My experience was terrible. I ordered a 20 ounce ribeye medium cooked half of it was raw. They took it back. They gave me another one a smaller one and that was raw and then the third time half of it was raw. I ordered french fries steak fries and I told him I want an extra crispy and they weren't even cooked the waitress couldn't believe what's happening so they took a little off the bill, but they should've took the whole thing off the bill. I was waiting 25 minutes for the fries, but they never showed up. I know it's crowded but they shouldn't be able to handle crowns that place is shut down terrible service and you have to wait forever to get your food and it's not cooked right and you're paying a lot of money. read more

This is my second visit to this location. Sorry to say my visit this time isn't as good as the first one. There was a long wait but that was okay. We were with a couple of good friends and didn't mind it all. My friend got a text from the restaurant saying our table's ready after 30 minutes of wait. We then approached the hostess and was told someone will seat us. Well, we stood there for at least 5 minutes waiting for the person to seat us. She finally came , grabbed a basket of rolls and sat us. We inhaled those rolls! Lol Our waitress finally came after several minutes to get our drinks order. My husband told her to bring us a bunch of rolls which she did. I ordered 12 oz prime rib medium well with green beans and loaded baked sweet potato. I wanted au jus and our waitress said she'll get it. I'm halfway done with my prime rib and still she hasn't come back with it. My husband then flagged her down and asked for the au jus again. She said that they ran out. My friend had to flagged her down again to ask for refills on our sodas. We understand that they were probably short handed hence all the waiting and not checking to see what we need. It's also noisy in the restaurant because of all the customers, I guess. We called to inquire if they have any meals that include shrimp. The person that answered didn't know and didn't try to find out. I was transferred "to go" and they never answered the phone. Called 3 more times with the same results. Called back again to speak with the manager. Yeah, that didn't happen either. The website indicates they have a steak and shrimp combo but then the picture shows steak and chicken. That was the reason for the inquiry. Going somewhere else. read more

Absolutely terrible. I ordered togo through their website. Went to pick up, the woman verified my name & last name & informed me how many bags I had & I left. I got home & realized I had the wrong order. My BIGGEST problem is I called the store to speak to a manager about the mix up as there was nothing my kids could eat & NO MANAGER came to the phone. I was on hold for over 15 minutes. & the woman who initially answered the phone was rude just answering "HELLO?" I will never come back. Meet my grandchildren and daughter in law for dinner. 2/21/26. Have to say this was one of the worst experiences we have ever had before. Once seated we waited over 30 minutes for rolls when they did arrive we had no plates or silverware to eat with. So no butter on rolls. And no refills on our drinks. We did order an appetizer that came out cold and looked like it was made the day before. (Loaded fries) come on it's basically French fries with bacon and cheese) the stakes we ordered were overcooked. The sauté mushrooms were so dry no one could eat them. The steaks (a supposedly thick cut) NY Strip and a Ribeye, were inedible and sickening to look at! Upon arriving, we asked for a booth, but we were taken straight to a table. It took several teenagers standing around the Hostess station, to decide where to seat us, and then, where to re-seat us. It was downhill from there. We weren't served any bread and we were told there wasn't any ready, but yet, we saw bread being taken to other customers. Our salads didn't have any eggs, although eggs were stated on the menu. I asked about the eggs and was told they were out! I asked to speak to the Manager and a young lady came over from the Hostess stand, made excuses, and offered us a free appetizer. The steaks were brought out and neither looked like a NY Strip or a Ribeye, nor like any steaks we've ever seen!!!! Plus, we ordered them medium and they were rare! The Manager offered something else, but our evening was ruined, and we were ready to leave! By the way...we finally got bread, before we left, and it didn't have any honey butter, because they were out of honey butter!!!! Got here and was quickly seated. Waitress came to our table 15 minutes later got our drink order. Two teas, half sweet half unsweetened. 10 minutes later we got our drinks and were just unsweetened. Finally stopped our waitress after 10 minutes. Asked for a sweet tea and explained that our drink was wrong. The tea came quickly. But something floating in bottom of glass. 10 minutes later our waitress came by our table and we explained again the discrepancy with our drinks. Drinks came out quickly once again. That was the last we seen of our waitress. As we sat patiently, food was tried to be delivered to our table on four different occasions. But we did a basket of bread with our tea. OMG read more

I live in North Carolina but was visiting my family in Danville Va. I understand the place is new to the community and was really busy we were seated quickly but waited over an hour for food. The music was so loud you could not talk to each other at the table. Food was fine. I visit my local Texas and have never had any of these issues in fact it my husband and I first choice when we want to eat out. TEXAS ROADHOUSE REVIEW Date - May 26, 2024 Location - 420 Mall Drive, Danville, Virginia 24540 I came into the restaurant at 5:10 PM. The hostess told me there would be a 20-minute wait. At 5:50 PM, I returned to the hostess to ask how long I would be seated. She conveniently stated that my table was now ready. Sharmika, my waitress, took 10 minutes to get my rolls. She did not take my order until 6:10. I ordered filet medallions well done with baked potato with extra butter and no sour cream with an addition of cheese and was told it would be served over rice. I received my order at 6:25. The meat was burned on the outside and pink inside, and there was very little butter inside the potato. I also had an extra helping of rice in a bowl. The waitress delivering my food did not wait for me to check on my food Sharmika, my waitress, did not check on me at all. I stopped a manager passing by at 6:35 and told her my order was not acceptable and explained. The manager promised to replace it quickly. Sharmika came by at 6:55 to get the old order and told me she would go and check on my new order. I received the new order at 7:05 with the promise of fresh iced tea and hot rolls. The tea came at 7:10, and the rolls never came. I finished the meal at 7:20 with my waitress never checking on me. I asked for my check at 7:23 and got it at 7:41. I spent 2 hours and 35 minutes in the restaurant--way too long for the wrong meal and for various staff to forget me. I did something I can never remember doing -- leaving zero tips. read more

Went to the new Texas roadhouse today in Danville,Va. Our server was Jess and she did a wonderful service. We had steaks and you could cut them with a butter knife. Considering it was a new food service in our area they did a wonderful job of helping people and getting them to the tables. We will go back very soon. read more

First time steak was nearly burnt when ordered medium and appetizers were cold and greasy. This time food took 45 minutes after order placed and appetizers were again cold and greasy. Steak was improved but after waiting 45 minutes for food we were over it. Waiter did not check on us during 45 minute food wait but as soon as we got a manager involved he suddenly remembered he had been ignoring us for 45 minutes. This location apparently needs an overhaul from management to kitchen staff to wait staff as it is mediocre and is giving brand a bad name. read more

Waited about 15-20 mins which is not bad but the service was bad. We had to go get our own rolls, napkins, and silverware. Our appetizer came out after the meal and our waitress was nowhere to be found to tell her anything we had to keep asking different staff members to bring us what we needed and what was missing from our meals. I had the displeasure of selecting Texas Roadhouse as the meeting place for our cousin's monthly dinner. We had a party of 6 for 5:30 p.m. reservations. The first initial greeting was amazing, and we were seated immediately. The rest of the dining experience was below average. The rolls were cold and we sent them back and 10 minutes later she brought more cold rolls. The fellowship was so amazing we were not about to let rolls ruin our evening. On to the food. Another horrible experience. I ordered Steak Kabos with rice and a loaded potato. The dish was cold as if they had cooked it and then put the leftovers in the refrigerator. She took the potato and brought another cold potato to the table. I told her I did not want my dish. She said she would take 30% of my bill, are you kidding. I told her I wouldn't be taking it home. So she brought me a bill for my potato. I was completely over it at this point. My cousin ordered the Ribeye medium well and it came out bloody. Of course sent it back and they brought another bloody piece of meet. Like myself she had only a potato for dinner. What's going on? The WORSE food ever for me!!!
