    The back of the restaurant

Unfortunately this place has quickly gone downhill after being open for not even a year. This evening my wife and I went with another couple and arrived at 4:00. There was already a 30 minute wait but we decided to stay. The issue started as soon as we were called in to be seated. We stood there for a good while waiting for someone to come and actually seat us. A young lady came over and the hostess gave her a piece of paper. The young girl grabbed some rolls and then walked away without even looking at us or saying a word. The hostess then said we should follow her. When we got to the table there were nine menus open and standing on the table covering the entire table. This was the weirdest thing because all the tables had this. We ended up having to fold all the menus and I put the extras on another table beside us that was unoccupied. WTH? It was about 5 minutes before our waitress came to take our drink orders. During that time we noticed there were a very large number of empty tables. It was pretty obvious the restaurant was short-handed thus the long wait. The soft drinks arrived about 10 minutes after they were ordered. A cocktail and a beer that we ordered took longer to get. While waiting for our food we ate a lot of rolls. The roles were the only redeeming part of our visit. My wife and I both ordered prime rib. I had a side of mashed potatoes and a cup of chili. The mashed potatoes were so salty they were unedible. They were supposed to be exchanged for a baked potato but an hour later when we left my baked potato had still never arrived. There was no au jus delivered with our prime rib so I asked for some. Halfway through our meal I flagged down our server again and asked about the au jus. She then said they had to run out. One of our friends had ordered a bowl of chili with his meal. The chili only arrived just before we were finished eating. Our glasses were constantly empty during our visit as well. When we asked for more, they were provided but our table was never bussed. In addition to the plates our meals were on there were four empty baskets from the rolls seven empty glasses and six additional empty small plates covering our table. Oh, plus an empty bottle of beer. It was an absolutely terrible visit with poor food, bad service, long waits, items that we never received but paid for, and a frustrating way to end of the day. Two stars instead of one because of the rolls. This will be our last visit.

This is my second visit to this location. Sorry to say my visit this time isn't as good as the first one. There was a long wait but that was okay. We were with a couple of good friends and didn't mind it all. My friend got a text from the restaurant saying our table's ready after 30 minutes of wait. We then approached the hostess and was told someone will seat us. Well, we stood there for at least 5 minutes waiting for the person to seat us. She finally came , grabbed a basket of rolls and sat us. We inhaled those rolls! Lol Our waitress finally came after several minutes to get our drinks order. My husband told her to bring us a bunch of rolls which she did. I ordered 12 oz prime rib medium well with green beans and loaded baked sweet potato. I wanted au jus and our waitress said she'll get it. I'm halfway done with my prime rib and still she hasn't come back with it. My husband then flagged her down and asked for the au jus again. She said that they ran out. My friend had to flagged her down again to ask for refills on our sodas. We understand that they were probably short handed hence all the waiting and not checking to see what we need. It's also noisy in the restaurant because of all the customers, I guess. Sorry to say we'll never go back! Sub par food and bad service put a bad taste in our mouths.

The place was really nice which I expected since it just opened not too long ago. The music was kind of loud so everyone had to elevate their voices. Our waitress Adrianna was really nice and she kept checking on us throughout our visit. The food was really good like all locations I had been to. The steak I ordered was not cooked the way I asked but I ate it anyway. I asked for medium and I got medium rare.

This was the thick NY Steak. The looks of it was sickening!

The steaks (a supposedly thick cut) NY Strip and a Ribeye, were inedible and sickening to look at! Upon arriving, we asked for a booth, but we were taken straight to a table. It took several teenagers standing around the Hostess station, to decide where to seat us, and then, where to re-seat us. It was downhill from there. We weren't served any bread and we were told there wasn't any ready, but yet, we saw bread being taken to other customers. Our salads didn't have any eggs, although eggs were stated on the menu. I asked about the eggs and was told they were out! I asked to speak to the Manager and a young lady came over from the Hostess stand, made excuses, and offered us a free appetizer. The steaks were brought out and neither looked like a NY Strip or a Ribeye, nor like any steaks we've ever seen!!!! Plus, we ordered them medium and they were rare! The Manager offered something else, but our evening was ruined, and we were ready to leave! By the way...we finally got bread, before we left, and it didn't have any honey butter, because they were out of honey butter!!!! If this restaurant doesn't get some effective Management, it won't be in business long! We will not be back!

Went during lunch and was sat pretty quickly. Service was excellent. Will be returning again.

I enjoy the fish and chips and we normally start with the Porter rolls with sea salt butter which are great! Katie was very attentive and focused on giving us a truly enjoyable experience. She was friendly, and was so sweet to speak with. The atmosphere at Ramsey's is always exciting, bustling and fun to watch the chefs prepare your meal. The fish and chips, steamed asparagus and porter rolls were all excellent. Katie made sure our drinks were always filled and offered a to go cup when we were leaving. I used my celebration dinner from Caesar's for our meal. I wanted to use the extra money on the celebration dinner to leave an additional tip for Katie and was surprised to find out that is doesn't work that way. We have always left a tip but there was over $15 left on our Caesar's comp that apparently you can't use as an additional tip and you lose it. So if using a comp- please make sure you top your server and use up the entire amount of your promo. We definitely took care of her but I know she would have appreciated the additional $$. All in all, an excellent meal. Can't wait to return. They are the best restaurant at Caesar's in Danville. Make sure to make reservations. I do want to add that the hostess was somewhat rude, we showed up 5 minutes early for our reservation and there were plenty of empty seats...she literally pointed to an area away from the hostess desk and said "you're early, you need to wait over there" but rudely. It was like she shoo'ed us away!

The atmosphere had that nostalgic charm that's hard to fake -- soft warm lighting, classic comfort-food smells drifting through the air, and the kind of relaxed, familiar vibe where you instantly feel at home. The fried chicken was phenomenal -- perfectly golden and crispy on the outside with juicy, flavorful meat underneath. That crunchy seasoned coating had the kind of homemade taste that instantly reminds you why classic Southern comfort food never goes out of style. The mashed potatoes were creamy and rich with smooth gravy poured generously over top, and the coleslaw added the perfect cool, tangy balance to the plate. Even the biscuit tasted fresh from the oven -- buttery, fluffy and impossible not to finish. This wasn't trendy food trying too hard. It was authentic, comforting, soul-satisfying cooking served in a place that feels frozen in time in all the right ways. Like an old-school Friday night dinner spot where the recipes haven't changed in decades because they never needed to.

I got the 2 piece snack, with chicken legs, potato salad, slaw, biscuit. I enjoyed my lunch. I did not go inside. I just went through drive through. The waitress was really friendly, and I liked the food better than several of the other restaurants on Piney Forest that I have visited. The slaw seemed different than any I had ever tasted. I am unsure what the difference was. It seemed to have less vinegar, and the spices seemed different. It was tasty though. The biscuit was really good, and I liked the potato salad. Chicken was tasty too, crisp, and not overly salty. I am attaching a photo..

We sat outside and enjoyed the scenery. It is a beautiful location right next to the River District. There's a lovely park, splash pad, and playground right along the Dan River. We were so stoked to eat right there. The interior of the restaurant was so fun. We loved the decorations. Books everywhere! The server was ok at first. But when we were done, I did not like how she presented me the check. She just quickly flashed me an amount on a screen, and then hid the screen. I asked if I could pay cash and she accepted it but did not bring me a check even then. We ordered 3 burgers that sounded really good. Such a disappointment. The burger meat in each was shaped perfectly and was as hard as a hockey puck. They appeared to be cooked medium but the meat was tough and gristly. I have no idea how they got all the burgers the exact, uniform hockey puck shape. They must be like those frozen ones you can get at Costco. But $17.95 for a frozen hockey puck? At one point, while my kids were telling me how gross the patties were, while my husband and I told them they had to eat them to go play on the playground, I flagged the server down and asked what type of meat it was. She said beef. However, it did not taste like beef. Thank goodness for all the toppings because if they were plain burgers, they would have been inedible. We were so hungry though so we ate what we could. Notably, the buns also tasted cheap like they had just come out of a stale grocery store deli bag. The seasoned fries, sweet potato fries, the homemade ranch and ketchup, and salad with homemade vinaigrette were ok. After we left, I added up what we ordered again and realized she must have charged me an extra $12 to swap out a veggie patty for a beef patty. I was not told there would be an upcharge so felt a little swindled, especially with how she presented the check. I wish I had kept the veggie patty though, because it probably would have been better. Also my kid who had said the burgers were so gross puked right after we left and immediately felt much better and enjoyed 2 hours on the playground. My other kid was jealous of the other one puking. Like you can't make this kind of stuff up. This spot has so much potential. I would honestly hope to visit again just to chill outside but would not ever eat the burgers.

This time we went, my burger was dry, she had the Mel Robbins (tuna) and it was overcooked and dry. I'm am not a tuna fan, but even I know it should have some pink in the middle. She had a mojito, which she said was very good, as was the appetizer. But for a total almost $80 (without tip) for a couple of burgers, 1 drink, 1 appetizer and 1 dessert, it seemed pretty expensive. We could have went to a number of restaurants and had a lot better experience for a hundred dollar bill. We will probably give them another chance as anyone can have a bad night. But when I think it will be $100, there are better places to eat and spend that money:
