I recently had a sprinkler problem. I contacted Texas Rainmakers for what I thought was a small fix. They called the next day. First available appointment was almost 2 weeks away. I took the appointment. I also mentioned that I would try to call around and see if someone was available sooner. A friend of mine stopped by and said this is a pretty big project. You should call your fence company back. They might have to break up the cement and re-do the post. Called the fence company and it was a big deal but they figured it out. It took a couple hours. It was a Sunday so I planned to call and cancel the next day. I absolutely forget to call and cancel. I just moved into my house recently and have had a lot work being done. This is the first business/person who hasn't reconfirmed an appointment. So I do think you guys should assume part of the responsibility. read more

The crew just left. They were great. My sprinkler system in Atascoccita Timbers had some problems and they quickly diagnosed and fixed the problems, replacing one of the valves. They pointed out a couple of areas where the water coverage was not sufficient and quickly modified those areas to ensure they would be watered after I agreed and gave them the go-ahead. These guys are awesome. Second time homeowner, so I'm not entirely sure how competitive their prices are, but I can say I was pleasantly surprised each time I've had them come out with what they bid versus what I was expecting. Once I had them come add a zone with drip irrigation for a vegetable garden, and they were nice enough to do stuff like leave some extra tees underground in case I wanted to install more heads later. The second time I had them come out and move the sprinkler system main water line and some heads for a patio extension we're about to do. They took the time to add new heads and adjust existing ones to make sure the backyard post-patio expansion would be watered properly. Both times they've been able to come out within a couple days of me calling them to do the work. I can't recommend them enough and I'll continue to use them for any irrigation needs I have in the future. read more

Prompt and thorough in checking lines for leaks or damages, especially since two or three utility companies plowed through our landscape with digging and disruption to our yard while installing cable lines. I Had my house winterized and the pipes blown out. I had hired in the previous year to fix my yard and to take care of everything. The first time they came out and did a half good job they had to come back out to fix problems that weren't working and also install things that they didn't install the first time, when I called back and talk to the owner about coming because my sprinkler isn't working, he calls me an idiot because I didn't turn my water back on after the winterization. I will never recommend this business to anybody ever again, and I highly recommend you find somebody else to have your lawn service taken care of.he does not care about his customers and is very disrespectful. read more

I called Texas Rainmakers to take a look at our sprinkler system and fix a few concerns. They showed up with a three person crew and fixed our issues within a matter of minutes, Plus they were able to add in a new sprinkler head for maximum yard coverage. After they left we noticed one sprinkler head had been damaged years before and was sideways in the ground (there was no way for them to see it or know it was there) so it wasn't popping up. I called them back and they sent another crew out right away. They got it fixed and double checked everything they previously did was working. Wonderful crew, wonderful office staff. We have been using Texas Rainmakers for over 10 years. They installed our sprinkler system at our previous home. They took great care in putting the grass back in place, which I appreciated. Ed, the owner, spent time explaining the system and how to work/set it. The office was helpful when we forgot certain instructions. If no one answered immediately, we always received a call back by the end of the day or the next morning. Repairs are usually done within 1-2 days of my request. I had heard good things about this business but my experience was far from it. I had them come out to add some deep drip watering and a remote for my previous unit. They did everything but this. They added heads everywhere. They destroyed the yard and they didn't add a remote or deep drip watering for my brand new trees. I clarified what I was looking for and even showed him the emails I had sent with my request prior to hiring to him. They wouldn't change anything so I told them I wouldn't pay. They would not do it. Then he took me to court! The judge gave him a partial judgement and I filed an appeal. He calls me and says if I drop the appeal he'll come fix the system and get me a remote and knock off some money off of the judgement. I want to be done with him so I agreed. Well once I drop the appeal he changes his story and now is demanding more money and came to my home changed my system so that it floods my yard and then got in my face and pushed me around a bit telling me that I better pay him his money or else. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. He told me he doesn't do things the way the customer requests he does it his way which is the right way! Well now I've got a flooded yard and a bunch of dead tree's thanks to Ed. Back to court we go! Oh and my husband has mixed ethnicities and looks like he could be Arabic in nature. Ed decides to say that "Oh i better be careful or your husbands gonna blow up my business!" He's a racist and homophobe. He commented on how many "queers" there are in our neighborhood too. I called them and spoke with a girl I explained I needed a pressurized line test done. I had already had other people out and new I needed a specific test. I was assured they could do a PRESSURIZED line test. When the guy got out there he was here about 5-10 minutes and I could tell he was just running a system test. When I asked about the Pressurized test I could tell he didn't know what I was talking about. I immediately called the office and spoke to the Owner who said they couldn't do the test and I told him then his guy needed to leave as a routine test was not what I had requested. His guy left a few weeks later I got a bill in the mail for over $200.00 dollars. For testing and repair and replacement of broken heads. This guy was not at my house long enough to repair anything and he NEVER told me any of my heads were broken. I called the office and spoke to the OWNER I was told that they had removed heads even after I explained what had occurred and that I was with the guy the entire time and Knew he had not replaced any broken heads he said I could either pay the bill or he could come and put back the broken heads he pulled out. He was rude. I told him I was not going to pay for services that did not occur. The next day his guys showed up and ripped out some of my properly working heads and put others in! WHO DOES THAT?
