He was the first of four to respond so I told him I wanted another estimate or two. One of the others didn't keep their appointment and one never responded. I hired Lorenzo Whitfield for a repair job in Lakes of Rosehill in Cypress, and I will certainly use him again. We had a zone that would not shut off. I called him on a Wednesday and he was there on Thursday morning before 8:00 am. He quickly found the broken valve and was able to replace just the solenoid, which fixed the problem. He did not go immediately for the higher cost solution - replacing the entire valve. Called this company to repair our system. I called them because the first one we called came did and inspection and came to the conclusion that our system needed to be re-wired. (Why would a system that's nine years old, has run well, need to be completely re-wired). Stay away from those people (Smarter Sprinklers). They are con men. Whitfield came over, did the same inspection, and came to the conclusion I came to. One of the valves went bad in one of the zones. He replaced it, completed the job in about 1 1/2 hours. Mr Whitfield showed up bright and early to install our sprinkler system during a very hot summer! He took his time and made sure everything was done correctly. We called Whitfield Sprinklers to come and fix our irrigation system. Lorenzo came out and proceeded to replace 2 PGV valves one of which he stated wasn't even broken. He informed us that any additional wires he had to dig would be $275 per wire, we declined any further work. The total for just those 2 valves was over $400. After he left one of the valves that wasn't leaking beforehand began to leak. Needless to say nothing got repaired. We had another company come out and confirm that we were indeed taken badly advantage of. read more
