We fell in love with Michael Roos during our first meeting. I had looked online for hours reading reviews and finally landed on TX Pro DJ... I pretty much knew we would use them after my first phone call to the company. I am so very glad that we did! And I am so glad they assigned Michael to us! He was one of the biggest, most important parts of our big day. In our initial meeting we went over music genres, favorite bands and songs, etc. We got along so well. He really heard us out on what songs we wanted to be used and why. He also has astonishing knowledge on music and made some great recommendations. He had the timing of the whole night down perfectly. I remember being so impressed with how detailed he was. I think my (now) husband could have sat with Michael all night if I had let him.. The conversation leaned toward wedding planning in general and we expressed how much trouble we were having locking down a minister. Michael, without hesitation, offered to perform the ceremony. It was the biggest relief! After this hour or so of talking, we both felt like we had known him forever. On the day of the wedding, Michael was so perfect. We were actually the first marriage he ordained! (Which is a HUGE honor!) You never would have known.. In fact, no one knew. Everyone kept complimenting him throughout the evening. He was so professional and sincere and funny when the time was right... I cannot imagine being more pleased with our ceremony. Honestly just thinking about it brings tears to my eyes. The reception was flawless. He didn't skip a beat. The music was beyond perfect at all times. The dance floor was alive. It never settled. Guests of all ages danced the night away. He honored my end of night Dirty Dancing requests. The night was pure magic. I know, without a doubt, it would not have been nearly as good without him. I could go on and on. It genuinely warms my heart having Michael's name on my marriage certificate. I cannot say enough about his abilities on the music side. His years of experience in the industry are apparent. I have been to a ton of weddings. I actually feel bad for couples with DJs of less quality. I have never seen one that compares to Michael. We feel so honored he was part of our big day. read more

This review has been a long time coming. As a matter of fact, I joined the Yelp community only to write this very positive recommendation. For the record, Texas Pro DJ was recommended to me by word of mouth. My husband and I were married in early September. It was a full weekend event, and we had folks fly in from all over the country. By the time of the wedding, everyone from out of town had done the "Texas" thing; everyone from home had met everyone from away from home; everyone was just ready to attend the ceremony, dance a dance or two, and get ready for their home departure early the next morning. Oh my goodness, they did not have the relaxing Sunday Evening they thought that they would have! I have never seen a DJ manage the reception situation the way that I saw Miles (the main-brain at Texas Pro DJ) do it. Of course, I told him what I thought would be cool in terms of music... what I thought our guests would like... and he came through 100%. Not only did he come through, he went above and beyond. I did not expect to see both sides of the family mix so well, nor did I expect to have my older relatives (and I mean 60-70 yr olds) out on the floor with my early 20-something friends dancing their faces off to the most fantastic mix of pop music dating from 1950-2011. He really read the crowd, and he knew how to intertwine a little Texas Country amongst 20-minute blocks of good ol' 80s & 90s sure-things as well as today's favs. In a word, he was "graceful". Texas Pro DJ and I had been corresponding for about 8 months prior to the wedding. I liked Miles from the moment we shook hands-- I just knew the party would be taken care of. I cannot express the gratitude I feel for Texas Pro DJ. Not only were they recommended by the most prominent florist in Kingsland (near Burnet, Texas where I was married), but Miles was SUPER charming with me, my mother, my sister and my very good friend from start to finish. All I want to do now is attend a non-wedding dance party managed by Texas Pro DJ. These guys are solid, and they have a very good thing going for them. My husband and I got married last October and were referred to Texas Pro DJ (specifically Miles) by our venue, The Wild Onion Ranch. It was the BEST referral ever!!! I, the bride, ended up taking an intro DJ class at Dub Academy and had a blast. We absolutely fell in love with Miles, our DJ, but everyone at Texas Pro DJ was great to work with. I could not sing enough praises about the dance party Miles made happen at our wedding. We gave him a general idea of the music we wanted played and let him take it from there. Everyone had so much fun, and we had a lot of jealous brides that wished they had booked Texas Pro DJ. Miles also helped me to create a one-of-a-kind 70s mix for my dad and I's father/daughter dance. You must know that my dad is the shy, quiet, engineer type but this mix that Miles put together had my dad dancing his little heart out and shocked many of our family members who had never seen this side of my dad!! :) It was such a great memory! Miles worked with us every step of the way and helped out wherever he could to make our lives' easier. Miles and TPD were very professional but also knew how to make the day the party of a lifetime. In fact, after the longest drought in Texas history last year, as luck would have it, it decided to rain ONE day in 2011 and that was on our wedding day!!!! Despite the weather Miles was fully prepared and everything went off without a hitch even though the ceremony was still held outdoors. As I said in the beginning, I cannot say enough good things about Texas Pro DJ. Even though we're a little partial to Miles, I can honestly say that you cannot go wrong with any of the guys at TPD. We attended a wedding Nov 2014 that they DJ'd for and were sold. The DJ was skilled at engaging the audience, and my favorite part was the mixing/turntable` skills of the DJ. As such, we used Texas Pro DJ for our wedding Sept 2015. Every member of the team that we interacted with throughout the whole process was great...super friendly, helpful, and always available. For our big day, KB was our DJ. He was excellent to work with. I met with him and explained what our wishes were. We had a very specific playlist that was non-traditional and an eclectic mix. He dug our vibe and was excited to give us what we wanted. We had numerous songs on our list, and he did an amazing job playing as many songs as he could, mixing in a good variety of the various genres, and kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night. EVERYBODY complimented the music selection from pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, to reception. KB was so friendly and really encouraged us to reach out to him for anything. I did so right up until the last minute (making a few final decisions on some songs a few hours prior to the wedding), and he was very receptive and responsive. He also made a special mix of a song that I wanted played pre-ceremony in order to loop in only the elements of the song I wanted played. My husband and I love music; chilling at home listening to music has been our favorite pastime since we started dating 11 years ago and the activity we do most often when we are together. As such, the music for our big day was one of the most important elements for us. KB ABSOLUTELY delivered and helped to make our wedding day the most magical and perfect day that it was! My husband and I were recently married in October. We booked with Miles a year in advance for our wedding...he had us sold from the beginning with his fun personality, great vibes, and awesome studio. Miles took the time to inquire about our music interests and our personalities and eventually paired us with Nick as our DJ...THANK YOU MILES! You will NOT find a DJ service better than Texas Pro DJs! Just about all of my wedding guests personally came up to me to tell me this was the BEST wedding they've ever been to. Brad and Kellen worked so well as a team and delivered smooth mixes. They read the crowd well and kept everyone on the dance floor for over 7 hours straight! People that don't normally dance, were dancing! There was not one song we didn't like, and let me tell you, the groom is very particular about his music. Brad and Kellen were also very professional about handling song requests. They knew the perfect time to play the request and stuck to our "do not play" list. When we requested a song, they found it instantly and transitioned it in! My guests also commented on their dress and how professional they looked. These guys are top notch and if you want your guests to remember your night, I would suggest you go with Texas Pro DJs. They have true talent and are not a playlist company. Coordinating my event with this company was super easy and gave me a place to start. Before I walked in, I didn't even have a timeline of events. Miles help me set that up within ten minutes! In the beginning, TexasProDJ was great. They brought me and my husband in for a demo and we were extremely impressed. My husband loved that they had an actual turn table and that is what sold us so we booked right then and there. We loved having the ability to set our playlist through their website as well as choose songs to go on the do not playlist as there were some we knew we definitely would not want to hear. Starting out, the communication was great and they were always quick to respond. Unfortunately, a few weeks before our wedding, communication stopped. I sent a couple emails with questions as well as wanted to confirm details but never received a response. I missed a call due to being at work and left a message when I returned the call. I never received a call back so I called again a few days later to follow up. I was told that he was in the middle of a meeting and would call me back. However, I never did receive a call back and it wasn't until my husband called the main office number that we received any response to my questions and confirmation of details. As a type A person, this stressed me out but I was thankful to finally hear back. Our DJ for the night of overall did a great job. He did play a few songs that were on our do not playlist but everyone had a great time dancing the night away. The lack of communication is why they do not get a full 5 star rating. read more

WOW!!!! We had the daunting task of finding " THE BEST DJ IN TOWN" for our one and only daughter and ( child's wedding ) ! Of course she wanted to get married on June 20, 2015 , the most popular wedding month!! At the time of her engagement we had soooo many things happening! Our house just sold and we had to pack. Also, our 12 year old miniature Schnauzer was killed by a coyote and the three of us had to go through 3 weeks of Rabies shots!!! BUT we had to find venues, photographers and DJ's. Texas Pro DJ has been such a great partner to my organization! I rest easy knowing I can always rely on them to be fantastic. My organization hosts six large public events per year. These events can be really stressful for me but while I am going crazy with wrangling performers, vendors and event logistics, I know I can always rely on Texas Pro DJ to handle the music. They really are professionals that you can trust to deliver. Anthony is usually our DJ, he's always on time with all of the equipment he needs. He has also been very flexible with accommodating last minute requests for things like microphones when we suddenly remember that we need to make announcements or special songs played for our guest performers. He's great at keeping the vibe of the events fun and lively and he reads the crowd well. Our events usually have themes and he'll select music to fit the theme without me having to worry about it. We've had other DJs from TX Pro DJ on occasion in the past and they were great too. I haven't used the online portal much because I don't typically have specific song requests but I could see it being really useful for that. I do use it when I need to find my invoices and I've loved being able to access those online anytime. I really can't recommend Texas Pro Dj enough. read more

Texas Pro DJ did a fantastic job recently at my daughter's wedding! I can't say enough about Miles! We knew from our first meeting in his studio that he was the DJ for us! He explained how he works, played some sample music and really took time to hear what the bride and groom wanted. He definitely delivered! He made the evening a huge success! Miles even travelled to Waco for the event. He and his staff arrived on time and had the sound set up for both the ceremony and reception. The sound for the ceremony was nice and clear, particularly for an outdoor wedding. As soon as the ceremony ended, he began music for the cocktail hour while the photos took place. He then made the reception a real party! He played all the music from our playlist, as well as a great assortment of music for all age groups. His transition between songs was so unique and fun. People couldn't wait to hear what song was coming next! The dance floor was always packed and everyone said what a great party it was!! Not only did Miles keep the event running smoothly and according to the timeline, but was flexible to any changes in the evening, as well. He was a true professional and so nice to work with. Part of my job is event planning for Appleton Papers, in Appleton, WI. We are a paper company that held our National Sales Meeting in Austin, TX. I was referred to Miles/Texas Pro DJ from my contact at the Marriott Courtyard in Austin. When I called & spoke to Miles my first impression was outstanding! I told him about our theme for our event which was a 70's theme & wondered if he could help. He offered many suggestions for us like a photo booth & hula hoop dancer as well as all the great music from the 70's. I put my trust in him & he sure came through! We had a blast! I had so many great comments from our sales team which can be a hard group to please. We are so, so glad we chose Texas Pro DJ for our wedding. We didn't know what to expect on pricing for DJs, so initially we were unsure if this was in our range, but I'm seriously SO GLAD we went for it. The experience was easily worth the cost. From the very beginning they were so helpful in fleshing out our timeline, accommodating our music tastes, helping us structure music for the ceremony, etc. On the day of our wedding our DJ, Britton, was just fantastic. We had so many guests tell us they had never seen so many people actually dancing at a wedding, and that the DJ was awesome. He weaved in basically every song we had put on our "Would Like to Hear" list, and he was so skilled in blending one song into the next. Plus, we had music play in 3 different locations (the ceremony outside, cocktail hour inside, and dancing in another space) and he flowed so seamlessly between those spaces, it was magic. Texas Pro DJ was the first vendor we met at a wedding event at the Driskill, and from the moment we met them we knew that we had to get them for our special day! Jamin was HELLA amazing!!!! We hired Texas Pro DJ's to play for our daughter's wedding reception at the Driskill. All communication was long distance (since we live out of state) with Barrington Miles. I was impressed with his approach and his professionalism as a businesss person. I was also impressed with the result. I would highly recommend this company. The DJs were outstanding in the way they read the crowd and adjusted music to keep the party moving. They handled stupid requests with tact and at no time did they play anything inappropriate for our reception. We had a small reception and yet their ability to create an exciting and energy filled evening made the reception awsome. I polled people about the DJ throughout the evening and a typical comment from guests of all ages was, "they were outstanding". If you follow the company's recommendation for a meeting, communication of song requests, and discussion of the crowd make-up, you can be assured that your event will be terrific. WOW! Is all we have to say! Miles is amazing! He was referred to me by a friend, who said that he was an exceptional DJ that could play various cultural musics. With my husband and my love for music and our different cultural backgrounds, I was extremely nervous about accomodating all of our musical needs for our wedding reception. Miles hit the nail on the head, he literally knew so much about all kinds of music and was able to play off of the crowd to guide his DJing! We had a fun upbeat dance with Miles playing Jazz, Spanish, Classical, Regae, tejano, salsa, and fun dance music! Everyone had an amazing time and kept saying "this is the best wedding I have ever been to!" We danced for a solid 4 hours.....and the dance floor was full the entire time! While Miles price is higher than his other DJ's, he was well worth the investment. He literally showed up and ROCKED IT! We used Brad from Texas Pro DJ for our wedding on June 23, 2012. He did a wonderful job! He took all of my requests I set up beforehand, and talked to me by phone the week of the event to clarify any last-minute details with the timeline. He was able to find all the music we requested ahead of time, and did a wonderful job during the event. He was very professional, and DJ'ed a great party. Everyone said it was the best reception they had ever been to, and almost everyone was on the dance floor and stayed the whole night, dancing. He did a great job picking music for all ages. We had toddlers to my 89-year-old grandmother dancing in a wheelchair! We did not have many songs listed that we wanted (maybe 5 or so, other than the required first dance, etc., and we didn't have requests for even some of the classic wedding songs, like the last dance and the garter toss, but I trusted Brad to pick good ones, and they couldn't have been more perfect! read more

It is very evident how much they care about what they do, and that they truly want to make your event about you and what you want. Brad dj-ed our wedding and he was great! My husband is in the music business and is very particular about music. Brad met with us and really listened to what we wanted and was just very flexible and easy going. At the reception he kept everything flowing and played what we wanted, and really kept the mood and vibe appropriate to what was going on at that time. During the dancing portion we had SO much fun! We booked Texas Pro DJ for our 50th high school reunion in Austin. From the first phone call to Noelle to the last dance on the night of the event our experience with Texas Pro DJ was effortless, pleasant and professional. Before the event Noelle was always available by phone or email to answer our questions and at the event DJ Brad did a fabulous job with song selection, volume of the music and appropriate commentary. He was able to "read" the crowd so he knew when to crank it up or tone it down just as a professional should. Texas Pro DJ was accommodating to us from the beginning to the end. We appreciated that that DJ Brad and Noelle met with us personally at their office prior to event to discuss our priorities for the evening and then carried through with our desires.
