I can't believe it's taken me this long to do a review on this spot as it's been about 2-years now. So it was a sister's trip and we had a great time. I enjoyed the many races and the music just was jamming and brought me back to the 90-2000s. Hey we in Texas so you know it's that screw music baby! The cars that were out in the open were so nice and had all the colors and bells and whistles. There were vendors that's sold alcohol and actually some food venders as well. Nothing like a full meal but things like hot dogs, burgers, etc. I can't remember the bathroom situation, but it must have been fine as I know I had to use it because I was drinking! lol But go have a good time at the plex because the car race/car show was so good! read more

It was my first time there and I must say that I was very impressed with the facilities and the people working there. Parking was relatively easy and directions were simple, the field was bumpy because it was a field not really a parking lot. Check in was fast especially if you pre buy your tickets and the walk to the stands wasn't very far, concessions were very convenient and the restrooms were kept clean. The cost of food and drinks were lower than I expected and a ATM is the preferred method of payment (FYI) The stands were clean and accessible but if you need a cushion you better bring one and an umbrella for shade, earplugs or some hearing protection is recommended because it's ... ((((LOUD)))) A shuttle can take you to the front gate and by the end of the day you'll appreciate the lift, leaving was a breeze and traffic wasn't an issue, all n all a very fun day at the drags. read more

We had a great time at the drag races. We visited on a Saturday, and although it was packed, there was plenty of space for all of us. There weren't many long lines, and plenty of space in the bleachers. There is lots of parking in the fields on the same side of the highway as the racetrack and lots of parking attendants to point you were to go. Prices are always high for food and drink at events like this and well the prices here were on par. $15 for a philly cheese steak and fries, $12 for a refillable drink, which that was worth it because we drank a lot of sweet tea but....yeah we ate and drank sparingly. The announcer kept us entertained. Bathrooms were clean. Lots of awesome cars to look at. Go check it out. read more

we attended the Night Lights Lantern release at the Texas Metroplex which was amazing. This review is for that specific event and does not necessarily pertain to the grounds it was held on. the event was amazing we had lots of fun and enjoyed ourselves immensely my only complaint being their lack of foresight on having some kind of system setup so that it wasn't such a nightmare leaving the parking lot after the event was over. read more

Had a very good time at the races, you can go in the pits and meet the drivers and watch them work on the cars plenty of restrooms and places to get something to eat. The food is expensive but what isn't. read more

The bartender "Brady" at the Champions Club makes the best Bloody Mary I've ever had in my life. My husband who doesn't really drink had two himself. I think the condiments were a seller for him!!!! Not only does Brady make an awesome Bloody Mary but he is personable and friendly. We have been in the Champions Club the last two races and Brady has been the best both seasons. read more

Love the location and the parking is easy (field parking is always easy). The NHRA Fall Nationals is an annual tradition for me.

Planned for weeks to race at an event posted on their website and then days before the event it dissapears off their website so it leaves you thinking, are they or aren't they still having it?. Nobody answers your questions about the event. I spent a lot of money and time preparing and took a week of vacation to go. This place isn't any different than any other track. May 5 - Original review was 2 stars for the early May Fast Friday was terrible. 3 hours worth of waiting, priority for dragsters over street cars, and ended up leaving after 3 hours of waiting and no runs. Not a typical outing from what I heard, but as a first outing was terrible. Updated June 9 - Tried again on first June Fast Friday and had an AWESOME time! They changed their tech process to be more thorough, gave folks wrist bands to make sure the right person was going to run, and were planning to use race cards so everyone could get 2 runs in. But luckily it went smoothly and that wasn't needed. We were there about 5 hours and got almost 10 runs in each (with resting in between of course). No breakdowns and minimal Jr. Dragsters, ProMods, and Motorcycles (always slow things down). Rerated up to 4 stars - Thanks for making the change Texas Motorplex! read more

Was just here for a Bikers Conv. and I must say the city treated us so nice, everyone did. We had this event in the middle of a cornfield and when I tell you it was hot,,it was hot but even the people who lots we were taken up offered us water and bathroom if needed in there private homes. I would only change the signs, if you could have exit and entrance marked CLEAR durning these kind of events it was well over 50,000 bikers there easy along with there familys. Oh texas motorplex. I'm sorry but I just don't like you. I go for the races every year, and every year I am too hot and too bored. This is not necessarily your fault. But this is more a review of the races I guess. It must be more of a guy thing. There is very little shade and nowhere to escape to any air conditioning. The bathrooms could be worse. But they could be better, too. Besides being too hot, dirty, and sunburned, the food is not that great. They have many vendors but the lines still get very long and I wish there was a healthy alternative like a salad or even a sandwich. No such luck. The traffic can get bad for the races if you don't have vip parking, and if it rains your car might get stuck in the big muddy field. Also, the races are so loud. My ears might be bleeding. So next year I might not go. Although I say that every year. My husband drags me along. What can I say. read more

The Champions club was the biggest disappointment as I bought tickets and the tv screens only show I shot down the track and the food wasn't that great. I been to 8 tracks around the circuit and this track needs to get up to date. read more

The SHRA booked an event with the Motorplex management through a conference call with the general manager and competition director at the time, in Jan 2014. The competition director quit soon after. On March 12th SHRA reached out to the general manager Gabrielle Stevenson via email to re-confirm the event despite the competition directors leaving and received a prompt yes that all was a go. The SHRA then organized a 3 day display during the September national event where staff members spent their time not watching races, but promoting the SHRA event which was to be held Nov 8th. The SHRA also distributed 2,500 flyers at the cost of the SHRA to help promote the event Nov 8th. The SHRA also distributed multiple pre-race press releases promoting the event. The SHRA brought 88 cars to the event Nov 8th and provided the most entertaining racing of the event no doubt. After three requests to get the booking fee check that night on Nov 8th, the SHRA received no check. After two additional attempts to get the booking fee check on Sunday, November 9th the Motorplex ticketing agent and new competition director instructed the SHRA to call the general manager Gabrielle on Monday. On Monday, Gabrielle (the same general manager who has booked the SHRA in 2013 and previous organization under a different name of Texas Blown Fuel in 2012 and 2011) informed the SHRA she had never agreed to any terms of payment and in fact should have charged the SHRA a rental fee to race there. Through two additional phone calls between the SHRA and Gabrielle, it was clear not only was the Motorplex not going to honor their booking arrangement but that the general manager had no clue what was actually going on and there was a massive lack of communication and organization between the staff members at the Motorplex including the ticketing manager and competition director. It is a true shame a facility with the reputation it has chose to handle themselves in this manner and is just another example of how down hill this facility has gone in the last decade. It is a fact that the Motorplex has now lost the support of several dozen North Texas based racers. Shame on the management from top to bottom for their lack of professionalism. Shame on the individuals who backed out on their word. There are plenty of drag racing facilities in the southwest who handle themselves in a much more appropriate manner and that is where we suggest both fans and spectators go to watch or participate in drag racing events. read more
