This wasn't my best college football game experience honestly. Not to knock Baylor, but their football program has not been the best over the last few years and the game I went to was not that competitive. The stadium was half filled and there was a lack of energy in the building. We found ourselves enjoying watching the band more than the football game. As part of the school policy, they do not sell beer or alcohol during games either. Honestly, I don't see myself going back here. There are better options and plenty of fun college stadiums throughout Texas to enjoy. read more

This stadium is really nice-- one of the best college stadiums I've visited (and that's saying a lot). It's clean, beautifully marked, great views, great sound system, no line/no wait for the women's restroom (IYKYK), and loaded with plenty of seats. The game day experience is nice also. There's really no dead time here. Every timeout was occupied with some sort of entertainment. Only thing to note: it's a "dry stadium." No alcohol whatsoever, so everyone gets their tailgate drinks in before entering. Overall, definitely a top-tier stadium-- and #GoCoogs! read more

This was my first time at any college football stadium. I came to Baylor for parents weekend, it was an amazing experience. Security and ticket lines move very quickly and efficiently. The stadium was clean and not crowded even with the amount of people there. I was in the 300 section. We could see the entire field. Seems like any seat in the stadium was a good seat. The concession stands were reasonably priced, not what I'm used to paying at a professional game. It was more than a game, it was an entertainment experience. Baylor does a fantastic job. We love attending games and events here. It is a friendly, clean, beautiful stadium. The food and gift shops are decent as well. The bathrooms are plenty, you do not have to walk far to find one inside the stadium. Good for families. Parking really isn't bad either. If you arrive in enough time, you can park in areas free, the bus service is free to ride from parking lot right to the stadium doorstep. We frequent the games for family fun. read more

The stadium is beautiful. Great acoustics and the bleachers have backs which makes them very comfortable. Beautiful view of the Brazos River and paddle boats make it picturesque while enjoying a football game. Reasonably priced concessions inside and the souvenir store inside the stadium makes it easy to get Baylor gear. read more

We came to a football game and love the surroundings of the stadium with the lake and nice open areas. We also liked the shuttle service to the game. It was great to have large water jugs to fill water bottles . What could be be improved is it was not a single restroom or first aid station has feminine products. We had to bum them off a worker. Also it has a strong Ofer of urine on the mezzanine level on the north side. Other than that a great place to watch a game. read more

Nice smaller stadium. Not of the class of a normal Big XII or FBS stadium like Texas or A&M but good for a Baylor sized school. I was traveling with a visiting coach's family so we were stuck in the top section in the sun. Not as accommodating as you would hope. Food options are pretty limited. Nachos didn't have much cheese sauce in the cup so I could only eat like 10 chips. They have Pizza Hut and CFA sandwiches so that's good. Also have Nothing Bundt Cakes and TIFF's Treats. Overall a fun experience. Not exactly a big-time program experience but that's ok. read more

It is the best college football stadium in the country. Right on the Brazos river. The previous stadium was from the 50s and it was time for an upgrade!! Different kind of concessions and restaurants throughout, gift stores with Baylor t-shirts and other Baylor swag. Has the Baylor Club within the stadium which is a hottest spot in town for a multitude events in Waco. Has like 3 levels. There isn't a bad spot in the stadium. Although for my first game I watched here in 2014 the inaugural season at McClane I wasn't a fan of the bern. A grassy area where people can watch. Bern is exciting during big games. The most recent game I watched Duke gave Baylor the business unfortunately. It started in the afternoon and the sun was a pain. They could have built this bad boy with a dome or retractable roof. What's a couple more million from millionaires?? Shout-out to the Eddie family, and the McClane family that spearheaded such a momentous undertaking in the schools history. This is one of the most scenic sports stadiums I have ever been in! I've witnessed the construction over the past 2 years and was impressed by the final outcome. Baylor has created a visual masterpiece along the Brazos river and has expertly designed the Stadium grounds to integrate into existing campus and make it accessible to both students and visitors. We parked on Bayor's campus and walked over with the crowd of students and parents. As you near McLane stadium the lawns are sectioned off for tailgating. So as you begin to near the stadium your excitement builds as the energy is built up with passionate fans sporting Baylor gear and filling the air with the irrestistable smells of Texas BBQ. Your entry to the actual stadium grounds is marked by crossing the Brazos on the expansive new pedestrian bridge. As you walk across the stadium comes into full view and you see the expanse of tailgaters surrounding the stadium and extending far beyond. Inside the stadium there are plenty of food options, and much to my delight offered more than just the usual burgers/hotdogs/pizza. My wife and I split a BBQ brisket sandwich that was good enough to be mentioned in a review! I absolutely loved the new stadium and look forward to watching the Baylor Bears rack up many more victories in it in the years to come. read more

No matter how nice the stadium was for a high school playoff game, this was the most disrespectful and degrading security I have encountered in my 24 years as coaches' family. One man in particular was extremely out of line with his righteous and irrational way of talking to any and everyone that came near him-- aggressively yelling demands at minors who were respectful to his authority, yelling in degrading tones to spectators when they didn't do what he wanted them to automatically, questioning coaches from both schools on their permission to access the field and denying their access to their own teams, and making a high school student run the perimeter of the stadium to meet up with his team, even though his coach was trying to communicate with the guard to allow him on the field for access to the bus. He got so bad that multiple other security guards or officers had to tell him to calm down and MULTIPLE spectators told him he was out of line. To make it worse, after he would belittle or discipline someone (due to his impatience and faltering ego), he would smirk or smile as he watched the people he offended and hurt walk away, following his aggressive demands. This officer argued with and attempted to kick out a coach from one of the teams, wearing his coach's uniform, after he had to leave the field to say goodbye to his family when the guard wouldn't give the coach's family access to him. On multiple occurrences throughout the game, he made a large scene to enforce his clearly undeserving and abused authority over a variety of people, drawing attention, creating second hand embarrassment, and disregarding any bit of respect or consideration for those involved or even witnessing. While security is important, now more than ever, at public school events (especially in an established facility), there is no need for an ego to determine the way we communicate with one another. I hate that he is only promoting the pompous and irrational stereotypes that come with a uniform, these days, especially to our kids. It's unfortunate that this one guard was so prideful to disrespect and diminish the image of Baylor's morals and values. I've never met such a rude and entitled representation of a facility's pride and ego. I've never had such a bad experience at a sporting event, and DEFINITELY never expected this in Baylor's stadium. Please be mindful of those guarding the facility. When they ask questions, they may not always be asking with the intent of an answer or to protect, but instead to belittle you. read more

Pretty good, for a Baptist venue. I very much enjoyed my visit to McLane Stadium. The entire place looks amazing. The view walking across the bridge is indescribable. I attended a Baylor Bear football game and had a really good time. It looked like they did a great job with the design and there seemed to be minimal places to sit with a bad view. They have Chic-fil-a and Papa Johns INSIDE the stadium! They also have the usual concessions that are at most sporting events. As a fan of the visiting team I was very impressed with the sites and sounds of the pregame theatrics. They had a great video on the jumbotron that looked and sounded great. It was pretty inspiring as well. I was getting a little nervous about my team getting intimidated. Everyone, with the exception of one drunk old man, was very hospitable and welcoming. At one point one of the home team fans said he was not afraid to call security on one of his fellow fans. Drunk oldie calmed down eventually and left us alone. This was one of my favorite away games. Unbelievable stadium that feels more like a pro football facility. Only holds 45K but every seat is great. The horseshoe shape and the multiple levels puts the fans closer to the field. The cheer at kickoff was one of the loudest college stadiums that I have heard. The only downside on my one visit thus far was the so-so food experience. On the 200-level the choice were limited and the nachos had stale chips. Answering "Yes, I would like some jalepenos" on them, yielded a whopping four slices. read more

I was able to be apart of a private group tour and it was AMAZING! I am a Baylor grad a huge Baylor fan, so this was like visiting Mecca for me. The entire stadium is so well done. This is a great place to watch football. If I could give it 2 separate reviews I would. Stadium 4.5 stars. Concessions 1.5 stars. While the concessions are good (if you can actually get what you are ordering), the service is horrendous NEVER trust what the signs say are available. Always assume that what you are wanting to eat is out. They are consistently out of food. About the only thing you can count on is that the line you are standing in is actually closed. The servers are rude, and couldn't care less that it take 20 minutes to order a hotdog. Overall, the stadium is great, but make sure you eat before you come if you want to actually see the game. read more

It's a baptist school, they don't sell alcohol at games because that has been written in their bylaws since the university was established. Beautiful location, decent food traffic control horrendous. Trafficis so bad that it ruins any good time you have had. It is not the location or the roads it is the people who should be in control of traffic. The people don't control anything. I see better traffic control at high school stadiums. This will strongly influence whether I attend anything at this venue. read more
