We have dont the painting thing and just enjoyed something that was different and we could be as creative as we wanted to. I will definitely be back with some different family members! This place is in downtown Waxahachie, next door to cute boutiques (that are overpriced) and antique stores. I could easily spend all day here doing different projects! The staff were very friendly and helpful making sure that everyone was being helped. Before we started they gave us all a full run down of how to make the clay pots and what signs to look out for. The group we went with all had a great time and we all made some really nice planters, i look forward to attending more class for pottery but they also offer so much more from painting, sketching, stain glass, and more. I'll start by saying that my very goal was to give my father in law a special gift. Something you couldn't get anywhere else. After hearing stories of his childhood, and some of the things that meant something to him as a child, I looked to recreate an old sign in glass. Fortunately, Facebook pointed me to Groovy Moon Glass, and the owner Nicole, who happens to have her storefront right there in my hometown. I started by reaching out to Groovy Moon Glass through Facebook, and telling Nicole what I was looking for. She had great vision - from my ideas she crafted a design that was even better than I had imagined. She also had an amazing knowledge of what size I would need to really make the details pop. The finished product - beautiful! Hanging in the window, the light shines through and it really catches the eye. Truly, it's a centerpiece that my father in law absolutely loves. I had it shipped directly to him in Colorado. I haven't done this (yet!) But she makes incredible portraits of people's pets, and everyone raves about how great those are as gifts. That will be my next purchase! Something they do that I also have not taken advantage of - classes in store! Check out her Facebook for pics of the kids classes, which look super great. There's nothing like a custom piece, but keep in mind - custom items take time and don't always come cheap. Believe me, though, you get something more valuable than what you pay - a piece that is one of a kind, and absolutely sure to be something that the recipient, or you, treasure forever. Drove another 45 mins on a Sunday, the plates we wanted were incredibly smaller than what we had sent pictures of what we were wanting, these plates were not what we are looking for, so we decided to leave. As we are walking out the lady decided to start making comments on our character and say the same about my daughter and niece. Would not recommend.

I had done one of these paint classes at a place before the pandemic shut everything down. A friend told me she ordered kits for her girls to do during the holidays. So I began my search and found Paint the Town. From booking the date to the painting selection, everything was SUPER easy!! They were always very responsive and detailed. I could not ask for an easier way to plan a party. The artist arrived and set everything up. He was fun and chill and rolled nicely with the "crowd".
