Tonight at 7:45 our elderly 82 yr old friend, Janie, called my wife saying that her car would not start and that she REALLY wanted to come to Church tomorrow ; we normally sit with her every Sunday- We called Eddie at Texas Mobile Mechanics with Janie on the line - explained the situation- giving Eddie her address and him saying we are one hour away- Janie does not have a cell phone so we agreed that Eddie would call me upon arrival- we then get Janie on the line so she open the gate to the apartment complex parking lot so that they would have access to the car- 45 minutes later Eddie calls- we get Janie on the line- she opens gate - battery is bad- since it is so late Eddie loans Janie a battery- so she can use her car and come to church tomorrow - he will return on Monday with her a new battery- Kinda unbelievable service AINT IT?? My mother was taken advantage of by this company, last week Eddie came to my mothers hometo see about her car having no heat, I HAD PURCHASED THE PART, she was never told if he puts the part on that I purchased he would not guarantee it.She paid him $150.00 The heat did come one for one day. my mom called Eddie to come and look at it because the heat stopped blowing. when he came he brought with him the same part, and told her he would charge her $150.00 again to put the same part on again. I was on the phone with her when he arrive. I told her no way we are paying another $150.00 a few days later for the same part. My mother was totally taken advantage of, she has paid $150..00 to Eddie and still has no heat, but we will be pursueing this further. A friend recommended Eddie (Texas Mobile Mechanics) and I scheduled a visit to my home to work on an SUV that had sat for a while, and ended up having Eddie and Thomas work on two more cars, and perform diagnostics on a fourth for GM's StabiliTrak issues. Immediately getting to work, it's clear Eddie is an experienced and knowledgeable mechanic. He and Thomas are a well oiled machine! Little details such as ensuring your vehicle builds up sufficient oil pressure if it has sat for a long period may be missed by some customers, I did not, and I appreciated this attention to detail and also knowledge only an experienced mechanic would possess. Professional, honest, highly skilled, fair and no surprise estimates given, excellent communication skills and a pleasure to have at your home while working on your repairs, I can't think of any other positives I've missed. As a woman, I always DREAD getting working done on the car due to the general condescending nature auto-people seem to be and hate strangers coming to the house even more. But when the Jeep was stuck in the garage, we didn't have any other choice. Eddie and his colleague came out today and their service was 100000/10. They fixed the original issue we called them out for and changed the oil (since we had been on the way to change it when it wouldn't start) all for a good price AND with respectful and informative attitudes. I don't think I will ever choose anyone else to do something on our cars and wish they were in business to fix everything else in our lives! Definitely recommend for any car needs. read more

I have a ford focus and the AC stopped working, so I took it to a mechanic in the area and he told me it was going to be over 1000! So I looks online and found Texas mobile Mechanics. Wow I am so very glad I did! They came and took a look for me and found out I didn't need a new compressor at all just a new battery and a small part that only cost $46!!! Eddie and Coy were so wonderful to work with they were polite and so kind going above and beyond to assist me and take care of our vehicle. He could have taken advantage of me and charged much more but instead had integrity! I will use them for all my auto needs from now on and refer all my friends and family. I would hire Eddie anytime I need a future repair. Eddie is a bit of an eccentric character. You can tell he is trying to keep things from being confusing for people, so the communication is a bit frazzled. But if you hang in there, I believe you won't be disappointed. I called a few mobile mechanics about my minivan's rear A/C not working (rear blower motor). I had gotten quotes from repair shops for anywhere from $350 all the way up to $600. I texted Eddie, and he let me know that he could replace the blower motor within the same day. I bought and provided the blower motor, I just needed him to install it. We began talking via text at close to 4pm sharing various details about the repairs. Eddie also called me to make sure that I understood the terms of his billing. We agreed to a price, and Eddie told me her would be there "this evening". At 8:30pm, I texted him asking if he was still planning to come. At 9ish he replied that he was still coming. At 9:30pm he called to let me know he was on the way. Arrived at 10pm and was done by 11pm. He got right to work, replaced the blower motor and put everything back. He supplied all the tools to do the job. And overall did a great job, and his price was $100 cheaper than any repair shop. There needs to be better communication (perhaps every hour Eddie needs to send an update to keep customers in the loop) but other wise, he has done a good job. read more

Eddie is awesome. I called him after another mobile mechanic no-call/no-showed, and he was there within 30 minutes. My car wouldn't start, and he identified the probable cause pretty quickly, but still went out of his way to run an extensive set of diagnostics to rule out any other, more serious issues. PROs - Friendly, Didn't Charge Me Anything CONs - Bad Communication, Yells at you through text, Talks about the devil and how he's lied to, Pretty sure there's only one employee and no "boss", Can't be on time during a 4 hour leeway, Couldn't find a part that costs less than $1, and planned on charging me $110 for 2 hours of doing repetitive tightening and untightening of the same hose Hold onto your belts, this is my experience from start to finish. I was absolutely not impressed. I called these guys Sunday morning and left a message as my power steering was leaking badly. I get a text a few hours later with an apology for their phone being off. We immediately plan for a guy to come out named Eddie and take a look and figure out what's wrong with my car free of charge. I was ecstatic! The guy comes out within a few hours as no time was set and he tries doing the same thing over and over even though it's not truly doing a single thing. All the while he's going on and on about how he "Met the Devil" and talking about all these people who have lied to him and tried to kill him. Unsettling to say the least. He tells me he can try buying a copper crush washer and basically sealing the line from the power steering permanently. Let me say here I know nothing about cars but even I was concerned since this isn't normally a sealed part of the car, why seal it permanently. Out of desperation as my husband's job in on the line, we agreed. He then tells me it's $35 for today $75 for tomorrow with no papers signed, no reason why, but he had spent some time trying to do something so we agreed. We are to pay the next day the $110. He tells me he'll be here first thing in the morning and fix it. 8:00am the next day, I text asking for approx time he says they open at 9:30 and probably close to 11am as Eddie has to get the part. i apologize for texting early and let him know I have a doctor's appointment and he needs to have fixed it by 1pm so i can make it. Here's where it get weird. 11am rolls around and I haven't heard a thing so I text, "any update?" Apparently an hour and half has gone by a Eddie can't find a copper crush washer. I ask if he'll be able to find it and install before 1. Basically he says not if it doesn't fix the problem. I'm like if it doesn't fix it then i cannot afford anymore service as I'm clearly already $110 into this. Then hes telling me I don't owe them anything and starts talking about how he's always lied to and sorry I was lied to and how "see this is what the others do" and i was thrown way off. Clearly I'm talking to Eddie. I try to call. I get a text "Eddie will call you soon." Never got a call just more texts ending in "!!!!" about how I don't pay unless it's fixed. O_o WHAT?! Ok so forget it. From 9:30am to literally 12:30pm this guy couldn't find the part, is clearly the only employee, and has terrible communication and ended up just putting our car back together and not fixing a thing. He tells me his boss is yelling at him, how a store had the part and refused to sell it to him, denies $20 in gas money for his time, and is laughing the whole time. Only giving 1 stars for the fact that he didn't charge me for the wasted amount of time, otherwise I wish I could give negative stars. read more

This place is a scam! The guy came to fix my hose on the radiator which came off. He showed me where the leak was coming from and went to the store to get a part to fix and didn't come back until 2-3 hours later because he went to do work on another car without telling me. Then when he put the part on the hose he said he it needed to pop into place and younwoirl hear a click. After hearing a small click sound he said it was on there and when I was comfortable with hearing a loud click I pulled the hose it came off. Then he tried for another 20 min and got it on there and it stayed on... until 5 days later and my car started smoking again and I saw it leaking from the same spot. The following day I tried to drive it and my car literally stopped on the freeway and had to get it towed. Texted whoever sets up the appointments that the actual shop I got it towed to said it wasn't on all the way and I thought I should get some type of refund...not a full refund but a partial one because of the time and labor. I was trying to be fair and the person texting me says "we are not responsible for your decisions" and then goes on to say "we record everything, you're lying and will take me to court for fraud" after telling him he kept texting me. These people are immature liars and scammers! read more

My experience with this company was not good. When I initially called them to come out, Armando and Eddy came out. Eddy was kind of rude and kind of condescending. BUT they fixed the car and warrantied their work. Then last week my car did the exact same thing as it did when it broke down the first time. When i called them the man said they would come look the very next morning. This was GREAT, fantastic Customer Service.. very next morning? awesome!! However, the next morning came and went and i did not get a call or a text about pushing my appointment back. And when i text them to follow up with the service appointment, the response i got (3 times) was we are on the way, you are next. They ended up showing up around 630 pm. When I came out to greet them and tell them exactly the problem, when, where, and how it happened. Eddy's response was "if this is not the master or slave, its not our problem.. this is more than likely a problem in the bearings" I told him i was aware of how recall work works but was almost positive my bearings are not the issue but i appreciate their time in addressing the issue. About an hour later, i poke my head outside to check status and they were gone. Evidently, they went to the auto part store to get my replacement Master Cylinder. when they came back to install it, they realized the "clutch hose" that runs from my master to my slave had been stripped and could not be tightened down at all. so Eddy tells me to purchase some more "clutch hose", when i get my computer and show him the clutch hose i found at O'Reilly and ask him if this is the part he is referring to he said just call them and tell them what you are looking for. So i did, the store had to ship the part from another store (but they could get it the next day). So that's what happened. I WALKED to the auto part store, Thank God I had the presence of mind to grab the defective part they took off to compare because when i got the new part in my hands i quickly realized it was WRONG; completely different. The parts man said oh that's just brake line, here we have some in the back.. and sure enough.. it looked damn near the same. Thanks Guys at O'Reilly! i buy the part and walk back. When Eddy and Armando came back to install the "clutch hose" Eddy scolded me "This isn't the same part! The fittings on the end are too long!" Like i wasted his time or something... So i informed him, the part he requested i get was entirely wrong.. wrong shape, wrong size.. didn't look remotely the similar to the defective part. Then i asked him, who is the owner or manager of the company. He said.. ME, I'm the co- owner. Can you tell? In the middle of his sassy conversation, i just walked to Armando to finish discussing the problem as he was the only one that seemed remotely concerned about fixing my problem. As Armando and I are discussing what to do about the wrong part i purchased. Eddy screams at a passing truck; something about being THE real mobile mechanic... How professional was that? In my opinion, not at all. Armando ended up going to O'Reilly and exchanging the part, and coming back and installed it. About an hour later Armando, knocked on my door again and said they were STILL not able to get the clutch pedal to get some resistance.. and that my clutch pedal was still flat on the floor. That i should contact a transmission place for my bearings... To which I did, I paid to have my car towed to the transmission place, and paid to have them bleed out my lines. That was the only problem. This should have been done initially. Would i use this place again? I would not use this place again. I received shotty work, and attitude. Armando was the only mechanic that seemed genuinely concerned, Eddy (the co-owner of the business) was on a power trip that was apparent to me with how he spoke to me as well as how he spoke to Armando and with how he was inappropriately screaming at the passerby. read more
