I have to take the time to rate this place before leaving the parking lot. I've been wanting and needing a massage for months. I drive one hour and fifteen minutes to and from work five days a week and my job requires me to sit an additional six hours MOST days. The tension, pain, and soreness in my legs and lower back had become intense. I began my search starting June and finally decided on Texas Massage And Spa today (August 24). One of the main factors that perked my interest to try here were the prices (see photo) below. I was looking for a long-term massage parlor and not a one per year experience so pricing was more important than location. Of course the next determining factor for a commitment to my new massage parlor beyond the pricing would be the customer service, cleanliness, and expertise of therapist. The customer service was the determining factor that drove my decision to try here. Last night I was researching Texas Spa because of the great pricing. My search took me to their Facebook page where I was then able to do more investigating. After reading the majority of great reviews, I sent a message at 12:00 midnight asking about the price of a Swedish massage and if walk-ins are welcome. At 6:13 a.m., I received this on Messenger, "Good morning. A Swedish 60 min massage is 46.00. Walk ins are welcome, we prefer you make an appointment to guarantee there is a therapist available. Can I get a phone number for you and have the receptionist reach out to you?" I sent my number and received a text at 7:58 a.m. and a call at 8:02 a.m. I confirmed an appointment with the receptionist for 8:30 a.m. same day. Irma was my therapist. Her attention to detail was AMAZING. The massage wasn't rushed and my therapist was skilled in her craft. New customers will have to complete a one page information sheet. On that sheet, you can indicate the area of your body you want a massage focus on. Although I went with a Swedish, my therapist knew how much pressure to give me in problematic spots. After the massage, she recommended the deep tissue massage for my next visit due to some problematic spots she encountered. Her advice was right on point because I knew what was bothering me prior to coming in and she nailed it from the massage she provided. My checklist of price, customer service, expertise, and cleanliness hit the mark. I am excited for my next appointment. I may have found my new massage parlor. I hope they are consistent on the next visit. If you need a massage, definitely give them a try. The wonderful price is nothing short of the excellent service, expertise, and satisfaction you will receive. She was able to give me some relief with just a 50 minute massage. Just the right amount of pressure too. Came here last week to get a couples massage and honestly the reviews are deceiving because they were all so great, but our masseuses lacked communication and pressure me and my friend felt like they both used too much lotion as a masseuse myself we were thought in school to ask at least once thru out the massage if the pressure was okay or if more was needed, I also understand the not wanting to bother the client and being silent. What started out as an ok massage turned into the best massage I've ever had, and all because Autumn takes the time to check in and ask questions during your treatment and because she's a skilled bad ass. I asked for medium pressure, but when that didn't feel like enough she stepped into high gear and did a medium/firm mix of Swedish, deep tissue, and myofascial. I almost couldn't feel my limbs, it was so good. Oh, and the place is super cute! It's in an old bank building and still has the original vault doors! Charming!
