What they sent me instead ....

My first time ordering here and I ordered from this restaurant through DOORDASH. I got a hotdog all the way, onion rings, three slices of chocolate, meringue pie, and a sweet tea. The picture they posted looked great so I decided to get three slices for my family to try. Boy was i fooled. The hot dog was very hard and dried out. The onion rings were very fresh and crispy and tasted great. The sweet tea could've been better but it was OK. The pie was the needle in the haystack. Not only was it a totally different pie, but it had a stale taste and very crumbly like dirt or dust almost. I just wanted what was advertised. Luckily DOORDASH refunded my money back because this was a waste of $15..

Great long time local staple. I had the western melt and it was amazing. Thank you Debbie!

Good food and nice ambiance! I like the minster fries and will definitely be back to try the hotdog soon!

Homey short order kitchen for breakfast and lunch that has great chili. Food: Hotdogs, eggs, chili, and cheese in any combination you can think of. Seven kinds of pie in stock, although the pecan pie I had was store bought I believe. I had two of their hots all the way with a coffee and a slice of pie. The real star here is their chili, that is very flavorful without being spicy. Service: The staff of 2, a cook and a waitress were quickly and pleasantly taking care of everyone with speed. Yes Sir and Yes Mams were being volleyed back and forth between the staff and the patrons. Location: All bar seating with plenty of free street parking outside. The restaurant inside was very clean, you can tell the owners take pride in a clean establishment.

This is the receipt and I just noticed it had me as dine in. Another bogus claim.

Went by at lunch and ordered 5 hot dogs and paid with a debit card. Left store and took food to my wife and she pointed out I was charge $1.50 extra for extra relish in 3 of the 5 hotdogs and also a 50 cent convenience fee. Then to top it off they charged 11.3% tax on those bogus charges. 5 hotdogs with just normal relish, normal chili and NO onions and the total was $21.69. That's for 5 hotdogs. Well, I won't be going to that place or any other Texas Inns ever again. OBTW....all 5 hotdogs had buns as hard as rocks after taking them 3 blocks away. I guess I'll get some sort of arrogant reply, but this review is 100% HONEST!!! I'm done with Texas Inn. Receipt is attached below.

The chili here is actually quite good! Better than it has any right to be.

As good as it gets for a diner. Great people, affordable food but I can't help but feel like some of the items are like 50 cents more than I would hope to pay for. This doesn't seem like much but when you're usually getting like 3 items, it adds up! Nonetheless, the people who work here are polite, efficient, and accurate. The mark of a professional diner. I reccomend the corndogs here, fried to order and taste great with that hot oil dripping off practically burning your lips as you sink your teeth in and then regret all the decisions you've made up until that point. Knowing you're not going to be able to taste for about 2 hours after this point and finding a layer of burned skin on the inside of your mouth, you just keep eating. This is the T-Inn experience and wouldn't have it any other way. Coming again soon!

Not sure what the hype is about. Very small burger and hot dogs. It was okay but nothing special.

Perfect crust! So cinnamon-y sweet I ate the whole thing without syrup! Soft scrambled eggs were like heaven. Pork sausage links were so juicy. The grilled potato's so, so good, paired with the sausage it was the perfect amount of salt. I also got a side of sautéed mushrooms, you cannot go wrong with that combo if you love all of these things. The chef really cares for his craft. The vibe of the Acorn Hill Lodge And Bistro is absolutely adorable. Neon light sign in the window, Christmas lights wrapped around supports. Not too bright, not too dark. Again, perfect for early morning! They have more amenities and businesses on sight I hope to check out in the future. No photos, I ate it all too fast. Sorry, not sorry. 10/10! Get those Pancakes!

The waitress never apologized or explained. I had to ask for a box and the check because she was just looking at me without saying anything. Also the food wasn't fantastic either. The eggs weren't totally cooked, the quesadilla was soggy on one side, and I asked for an English muffin but got white bread instead. We asked for berries on the French toast and that was not added. For waiting 45 minutes the meal wasn't anything special. Im giving it a 2 star because the food wasn't disgusting and the environment was relaxing and laid back, oh and the friendly black cat when we walked in was cute.

It wasn't busy…read moreduring this visit, which made the outcome more noticeable once the food arrived. **FOOD** The bagel breakfast sandwiches missed on basic execution. Bagels came out cold and firm, closer to hard than fresh. The egg and cheese portions were light, leaving the sandwich dry and unbalanced. For the price, it doesn't hold up. The latte didn't help. It tasted flat and mechanical, like it came straight from a push-button machine rather than being made with any care. Both kids left food on the table, which doesn't happen often. That usually tells the story without needing much explanation. **SERVICE** Ordering was simple and the food came out without delay. No issues with accuracy, but the interaction stayed at a surface level. It moved efficiently, just without much attention beyond that. Service: **AMBIENCE** The space is functional and sizable, but dated. It feels built for volume rather than comfort. There's nothing actively wrong with it, but there's also nothing pulling you to stay. Ambiance: **CLOSING** There's a disconnect between what's being charged and what's being delivered. The foundation is simple. Bagels, eggs, coffee. None of it requires complexity, just consistency and attention. Right now, it leans too far toward routine without enough care behind it. The steady traffic is hard to explain. Ratings Food: ** Service: *** Ambiance: *** Overall: **/* Personal Disclaimer: I value small, independent restaurants and want them to succeed.
