Tidal aviation does everything to perfection. They have a luxury office, with conference rooms for briefings, and a beautiful lobby. The airport is set up with immaculate hangars and a nice boarding/valet space to enter your plane from. The CFI's had water bottles on board, and provided bose headphones for the flight. They fly brand new cirrus planes (I flew a cirrus SR20) with all the bells and whistles. Air conditioning on board kept me very comfortable, and I was able to read the instrument panel with ease. Excellent avionics. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I was very impressed by their state of the art tech, where they were able to show me 3-d models of my flying. This school was a pleasure to fly with and I highly recommend it for anyone looking into an upgraded flight experience

It jumped up $75 at the last moment bc my plane was down and the only thing available was a SR-22, hence the price hike. After the flight debrief I left my bag there. Living so far I was not able to pick it up before I went overseas. When I come back the person I dealt with was fired and the current management literally said "we can't find it. We lost it. And there's nothing we can do about it." After a year of back and forth of with them to at least replace the bag that they lost/stole. Today I was told There would not be any compensation of any type, at all. And when I asked the managements email the receptionist claimed she had a meeting to go to and that she would send it later. How is this place responsible for things that fly? Now to find a new flight school with cirrus planes.

The staff was very well trained, knowledgeable and approachable to name a few qualities. There are a few points that I would suggest honing in on, but I am happy to say that they trained me well and am now happily employed by United. I have all the tools that I need to be a great flight attendant. I plan to retire with this company.

This place is a scam!…read more He gives you photocopies of the ASA study guides that he plagerized, then he shuts you in a room to "memorize the questions and the answers". (I already had the legitimate study guides. I could have done this at home for a lot cheaper. He didn't offer any additional input. Just plagerized study guides for you to read in a room alone.) He advertised "$750 all inclusive. You leave with your A&P in your pocket!" Then, after the course, you find out it wasn't "all inclusive" because he's going to charge you an additional $600 for the O&P. When I went to leave for the O&P, he hands me an envelope to deliver to the DME. (It contained $300. He basically charged me $300 for an address and then gave me back my other $300 to pay the DME). Expect the DME to be a 5 hr drive away. EDIT: the website now says $995 and specifies that it only covers the written tests. It still has the quote about "You leave with your A&P in your pocket!" which is a lie. For the quoted price, you don't get to take the O&P and, without the O&P, you don't get a license. Even if you pass the O&P, it takes several weeks for the FAA to issue your A&P. I was so glad to hear his hangar/house burned down. It couldn't have happened to a more deserving person.

It is a self paced study, but it's guided to be out in 2 weeks. The front office is really friendly, they have drinks you can purchase and are always on time! You will read similar material to the ASA or the other books that are out there. Just read the books they give you, take your time to study and you will be done with the written in a week. No one is going to cheat for you, so you will have to pass EVERYTHING! The orals are the same as the written, just a different book, more focused on practicing communicating the material. Austin will work with you each night for about an hour to go over material and gauge your readiness. Listen to him, there's a reason he's saying what he's saying. If you read the material, practice with others, study with him, and actually apply yourself you will breeze through the orals and practicals. I will add, it helps if you and someone else can work together from written to oral to finishing. It will help pace you and give you a study partner after hours. Don't expect anyone to spoon feed you the material. It's a big boy program, you either study or you don't, don't blame anyone if ya fail....but if you follow the process you will leave with your A & P. The DME is great, he is down to earth, easy to communicate with, and will support you through your O & P. You will have to perform various random tasks that are assigned by the FAA the day of your test, they are randomly selected. If your a basic mechanic and understand how to read you will be able to get through it all. Great program, friendly people, and an A & P in hand. I HIGHLY recommend this for anyone who needs to get their license!
