This place is a scam! He gives you photocopies of the ASA study guides that he plagerized, then he shuts you in a room to "memorize the questions and the answers". (I already had the legitimate study guides. I could have done this at home for a lot cheaper. He didn't offer any additional input. Just plagerized study guides for you to read in a room alone.) He advertised "$750 all inclusive. You leave with your A&P in your pocket!" Then, after the course, you find out it wasn't "all inclusive" because he's going to charge you an additional $600 for the O&P. When I went to leave for the O&P, he hands me an envelope to deliver to the DME. (It contained $300. He basically charged me $300 for an address and then gave me back my other $300 to pay the DME). Expect the DME to be a 5 hr drive away. EDIT: the website now says $995 and specifies that it only covers the written tests. It still has the quote about "You leave with your A&P in your pocket!" which is a lie. For the quoted price, you don't get to take the O&P and, without the O&P, you don't get a license. Even if you pass the O&P, it takes several weeks for the FAA to issue your A&P. I was so glad to hear his hangar/house burned down. It couldn't have happened to a more deserving person. read more

I'm not sure about everyone else, but I had a fantastic experience here. You will arrive at 9 am on Monday and leave everyday at 5 pm. It is a self paced study, but it's guided to be out in 2 weeks. The front office is really friendly, they have drinks you can purchase and are always on time! You will read similar material to the ASA or the other books that are out there. Just read the books they give you, take your time to study and you will be done with the written in a week. No one is going to cheat for you, so you will have to pass EVERYTHING! The orals are the same as the written, just a different book, more focused on practicing communicating the material. Austin will work with you each night for about an hour to go over material and gauge your readiness. Listen to him, there's a reason he's saying what he's saying. If you read the material, practice with others, study with him, and actually apply yourself you will breeze through the orals and practicals. I will add, it helps if you and someone else can work together from written to oral to finishing. It will help pace you and give you a study partner after hours. Don't expect anyone to spoon feed you the material. It's a big boy program, you either study or you don't, don't blame anyone if ya fail....but if you follow the process you will leave with your A & P. The DME is great, he is down to earth, easy to communicate with, and will support you through your O & P. You will have to perform various random tasks that are assigned by the FAA the day of your test, they are randomly selected. If your a basic mechanic and understand how to read you will be able to get through it all. Great program, friendly people, and an A & P in hand. I spent just a little over two weeks at Aero tech and came home with my full a&p license. All of the staff was very helpful and attentive to me. Avoid Aero Tech if you need to complete your oral and practical prep/test for several reasons: Reason #1: Prior to scheduling the course, a colleague warned me that he went to Aero Tech several years ago and ultimately had to travel to Dallas to complete his oral and practical. Concerned, I called Mike at Aero Tech and related the story my colleague told me. Mike expressly, and firmly, represented that the oral and practical no longer occurs in Dallas. He advised that the only reason this previously occurred was because Aero Tech was new; however, because the business is much more established, he has sufficient resources (i.e., DMEs) in Houston. Based on this representation, I scheduled my A&P course with Aero Tech. After one week of completing all three written tests, I informed Mike that I wanted to schedule my oral and practical for the end of the week. With nearly a week in advance to coordinate with a DME, Mike ultimately did not schedule with a DME locally in Houston. Mike scheduled the test with a DME in Dallas. In addition to being a direct contradiction to the affirmative statement that testing no longer occurs in Dallas, this also caused extra travel and hotel expenses. Reason #2: Mike was unhelpful throughout the oral and practice preparation. Mike spent a large amount of time on Facebook, etc. during my oral and practical prep. Despite multiple requests for instruction and assistance, with Mike agreeing to help, Mike did not follow through. Furthermore, two days before my exam, Mike was absent an entire business day to "go out of town" and left an entire classroom of students in the oral and practical prep process to fend for themselves. Mike's approach to the oral and practical prep is to read the book distributed to you, and you will pass. Do not expect further instruction or assistance during this process. Reason #3: If you're one of the unlucky ones to go to Dallas, the Dallas DME is unprofessional at best. The Dallas DME asserted multiple times that the book Aero Tech provides is "useless" and he "doesn't care about what the answers say in the book." However, the problem is that Mike at Aero Tech only provides the "useless" book and no further instruction or assistance for the actual exam. In summation, if you need to complete your oral and practical prep/test, your time and money (or employer's money) is MUCH better spent elsewhere. read more

To all of you out there, enterprises that pay to get your employees to get their A&P licenses or Private party who are ready to get you're A&P license. DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME AND MONEY, be careful, Aero Tech A & P school is a scam and their work ethic is dishonest. The reasons: lying on their website, appropriation of money under false pretention for no service at all misleading advertisement, inadequate service and material and more... Del Martin is an aggressive, dishonest Bully who came at me yelling in my face when I saw the school, realized the organized scam and wanted a refund within the hour on the premises . "We never did refund any money and never will.." seems to be their motto if you challenge their tricky ethic. The next day a Deputy of the Harris County Sheriff Dpt. had to get involved to try to get Del Martin to manage his aggressive behavior and have a normal business like discussion, it failed, the yelling and jumping in the face, took place again! * Their website is a total lie, * the price advertised is raised by 240% when one walk in. * Aero Tech required "cash", my full advertised payment suddenly became a "deposit"! * Then you are introduced to the instructor, you discover that there is NO instruction class, just a 2hrs a day with an instructor asking you the questions in the incomplete brochure. It is not instruction * After glancing at a few questions for 4 minutes, I already found an incorrect answer ! I closed the brochure * you are shown to a cluttered, small, over occupied room; not conducive to study at all. * The "WE FURNISH EVERYTHING NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE A&P COURSE" is in fact a thin brochure, THAT'S IT, containing some FAA questions that you can find on faa.gov and/or on ASA books with the CORRECT answers. * The "instructor" will be available two hours in the afternoon ( and I understand it's not all the time) to drill students on this short incomplete sample of questions * NO class on the practical/Hands-on aspect of your check ride, it is just this cramped classroom and pitiful brochure * After the interview with the "instructor", it was so disappointing I decided to quit the school * Then I got the "We never did refund any money and never will.." I attended this so called "school" and was a total waste of time and money! They don't teach you anything. They stick you in a room with a study guide and leave you alone. After you go through the guide(which you can buy on your own), they set you up to take numerous quizzes. When you start scoring high enough , they give you the real test. Everything is memorization. Everything is not inclusive (as the website states). The oral and practical is done at other sites (I did mine in Dallas). You do not "go home "with your A&P. Don't get blindsided like I did. You can buy a computer base A&P study guide program which include the quizzes. read more

The staff here is incredible, they have your back all the way through the program! If you are stuck in a rut, they are right there to pull you out and get you going in the right direction. I couldn't have been happier that I chose to obtain my A&P License here, I had many choices. I will refer all of my mechanic friends needing their A&P.
