Our room was always staffed appropriately and the teachers; Sendy, Valerie, and Julyssa were caring and kind. The building is run well and it's always clean. They often sent cute pictures and the cameras gave you great peace of mind if you're missing them during the work day. The front desk always greets you with a smile. We only left because we had to move across the country and after starting somewhere new we realize we miss KRK SO much!

I am sharing this as a serious warning to parents. What we experienced at this KRK facility is not…read morejust poor management--it is deeply concerning and should be investigated. I was told that my son was being "targeted." That alone should alarm anyone considering this place. The issues start with management. Multiple teachers told me that the director gossips about staff, creates a toxic environment, and spoke poorly about me to other employees--also warning them to treat my child differently because we monitored the cameras. That is unacceptable behavior from someone in charge of children. There is also clear favoritism. Certain staff members are allowed to operate without accountability, while others--and certain children--are treated very differently. I personally witnessed a teacher aggressively handling my child during nap time on camera. Although that teacher was fired, the facility refused to provide the video footage when requested, especially after I made it clear I was considering going to the police. That refusal is extremely suspicious. Staffing is another major issue. I was told directly by teachers that they are overworked, unsupported, and often left in ratios close to one teacher for 14+ children, with "float" staff who do little to help. That alone creates an unsafe environment. One teacher, referred to as "T," already has a negative Yelp review--and my experience matched it. She took my child out of camera view without my knowledge, and when I raised concerns, they were dismissed. Later, she told me directly that she "will be taking my child to get water if she wants" and made it clear she did not care about my boundaries, even stating she "knows my child better than other teachers." I had never even had a proper conversation with her. At the same time, I was dealing with behavioral concerns with my 2-year-old, which we are actively addressing with professionals. I was told an additional teacher would be assigned to support him--that never happened. The plan was ignored, another incident occurred, and I was called to pick him up early, only to be told they were "short staffed." I was also informed that other children displaying the same behavior were not handled or documented the same way, particularly one child connected to a staff member. That is blatant inconsistency and favoritism. Meanwhile, the director told staff members I was "dramatic" and that I was "freaking out over nothing," despite raising concerns about my child being physically mishandled, left in a soiled diaper long enough to cause severe rash, and forcibly grabbed by his shirt to sit down. These are not minor concerns--they are serious. I made repeated efforts to work with this facility, but it became clear that addressing the issues was not the priority. Since leaving this facility, my child has shown significant improvement and has been in much better spirits, which leads me to believe this specific daycare environment was negatively affecting his emotional well-being. I am relieved to be done with this place, but I am deeply concerned for any child still in their care. Please think carefully before trusting this facility with your child.

My kids entered Kindergarten above grade level in both reading and math. Mr. T the owner always interacts with the kids and parents daily. Anytime there was a accident at school between kids, I was immediately notified. Mr. T has built a great culture at his school and the staff are dedicated professionals. He has always been open to any feedback or concerns. The teachers are really supportive with parents and help in many ways including potty training. Being a school teacher and having knowledge about child development, I felt very confident that our daughter was in good hands when we enrolled her into The Goddard School. Each classroom has a caring, experienced lead teacher with at least two assistants. The owner and her employees that greet us every morning are ALWAYS professional and caring. It is obvious that they care about my child and want her to succeed. The owner, staff and teachers are truly exceptional! They are committed to giving her the best preschool experience possible. They are sincerely interested in my child's education and well being. She has grown so much socially as well in this positive environment, who's number one goal is setting my child up for success. Positives: Master Mark the owner was willing to coordinate with us on scheduling and the kids being beginners trying something new. The location is wonderful with a large facility, ample seating, and clean well-kept space. Our kids learned the basics and overall enjoyed their time spent at Double Dragon including the joy of earning their first belts. Master Mark was also attentive to our kids as they learned the basics, stepping in to help when they needed additional instruction. Negatives: Our primary reason for not committing to this business long-term is that our kids are used to positive reinforcement through their school and at home and we found the approach Double Dragon uses to be contrary to our values. At times, it was reminiscent of boot-camp for kids. A second concern is that Master Mark was not present as often as we would expect. There are two young adults/older teens that lead the lessons on a regular basis as confirmed by other reviewers. From an outsider perspective, there are some behaviors of these two young leaders that indicate immaturity and getting their ego fed by pushing young children to do their bidding by shaming and belittling. We do believe this is what they have been taught as a leadership approach modeling Master Mark. Also not appropriate for children, in our opinion, is the sexually inappropriate music choices playing during practice. Finally, we signed up during COVID and found very little enforcement of parental masking. If you are looking for a place of old-school discipline, where your kids will be pushed to their limits and beyond through threats and punishments, then this might be a good fit for your family. Overall, it was not the right fit for our kids, and we would not recommend this business.

There was not enough toys for each child to have 1 toy each. When I mentioned it, a couple days later I saw them dump a bucket of old dirty used toys onto the floor. My daughter got bit & scratched and they didn't know how it happened.( there was around 5 kids in her class). ( I only kept her there a couple weeks because I started noticing these things and found another daycare to put her in asap) . Also they didn't have a refrigerator in the classroom to keep milk in, so the milk would be left in sippy cups all day hot. They would play videos ( I'm guessing YouTube kids) on an iPad everyday for the kids to watch. What was worse is not all the kids could see it, and they didn't have any toys to play with. they would put the couple toys they did have away. So they were just in this room with nothing to do. Their arts and crafts consisted of them taking a picture of the child holding a marker etc and then they would take it back from the child and give it to the next one to take a picture with. It was truly awful. There were cops there one day. No one is ever at the front or able to answer the phones. The cameras are always down & they point them where you can't see the majority of the class rooms anyway. Huge staff turnover & shortages all the time.
