I had an appointment here and was not impressed with the facility or the nurses on staff…read more It is a shared waiting room with a pediatrics office but it seemed most patients were there for digestive health When I was called back they said Jessica come on back and I was walking the nurse stopped me abruptly in the doorway and shoved the thermometer to my forehead to take my temperature which caused me to stumble a bit as I was not expecting it. She could have prefaced it by saying hi we will take your temperature then head on back and I would have been prepared. When we got back the same nurse asked who my PCP was and they immediately asked if that person was located in Oak cliff? I am in Rockwall for this appointment.. what made you assume I would be a local to oak cliff? The doctor seems knowledgeable and I will follow up with him but I will be looking for an office of higher caliber The doctor ordered labs and said the nurse would be back. When she came she said the exit is this way and I had to ask about the labs as she did not remember. They were timely which I appreciated.

The doctor is excellent, but unfortunately the office staff has been extremely disappointing…read more If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, be prepared to go in person if possible. Calling is incredibly frustrating, most of the time you can't even leave a voicemail, and when you are able to leave a message and request a callback, no one returns your call. They also fail to cancel or reschedule appointments, despite your attempts to contact them. To make matters worse, when the appointment date arrives, they still charge you a cancellation or no-show fee. Even if you provide screenshots showing multiple attempts to reach the office, they still hold you responsible for the fee. Based on the number of reviews mentioning these same issues, this doesn't appear to be an isolated experience. The physician deserves much better office support because the staff's poor communication overshadows what is otherwise excellent medical care.

2/27/25: BEWARE! Staff provided inaccurate information on more than one occasion!…read more One staff member wanted to set me up with a procedure without any type of consultation. When that doctor's schedule wouldn't align with mine, I was assigned to Dr. Gayle, who required a consult prior to the procedure. The consult with the nurse went fine, and the procedure was scheduled for December 2024. They had a Tricare authorization for office visits, but neglected to advise Tricare that a procedure would be needed. This resulted in me being charged for the procedure by BSW Dallas, as it was treated as a Point Of Service (POS) claim, versus an authorized procedure. I was not advised that I would be billed for the procedure. I received a bill for the procedure, paid it to avoid any credit issues, and contacted Tricare to question the charges, since my catastrophic cap had been met in August 2024. Tricare confirmed that a request for authorization for the procedure wasn't submitted, and the only thing authorized had been office visits. I reached out to the office manager, Christine Loya, and she was zero help. She basically passed the buck, and that I was on my own. I had no follow-up from Dr. Gayle, and have yet to receive a diagnosis or treatment plan. I would NEVER recommend this organization to anyone!

I would give no stars if that were an option…read more I went in for an appointment because I had been feeling nauseous for the first week. Without asking me about my lifestyle habits (e.g. fitness, nutrition, basically any important background information that would be pertinent to diagnosis), Dr. Fan goes to tell me that I "should be fine and I'm too young for something serious to happen." He also tells me I should move out of my parents' house, providing wonderfully ignorant and unsolicited advice. I redirect our conversation back to my digestive issues and tell him I've been weaning myself off my antidepressants. This is relevant information because the nausea might be a side effect. He then keeps telling me that I'm so young and I don't need to take antidepressants (this man knows nothing about my mental health history he literally just knows how much I weighed in 2015 and that my BP is normal). He says doctors now just dump depression/anxiety/schizophrenia medicine on people. He tells me that psychological medicine is not necessary "at such a young age" (I didn't know depression/anxiety only affects older people!). He says taking these antidepressants so young is foolish and unless it's super serious (like hospitalized serious bc of a suicide attempt) then I just need to let it go and deal with it. This doctor might be good at dealing with digestive issues, but I wasted both time and money on this appointment. Do not go see him. Instead, go see a doctor who will actually take the time to listen to your medical problems and practices medicine with understanding and humility.

I still have not been able to complete the hospital review because she still is not well, but this review will be shorter, so I have a little more time to complete it. Dr. Fan is a wonderful and understanding man. He was very kind to my daughter and very, very personable. My daughter's disorder is treatable, but not curable, so it is difficult to find a doctor that doesn't get frustrated and say there is nothing more. We were at this stage again when my daughter was hospitalized and her primary called in Dr. Fan. He immediately looked at her tests and came in with a workable treatment plan, verses the frustrated and unwilling to try attitude. I had to call the hospital for his phone number, and I was given his cell phone number. He was very understanding and told me to call that number if I ever needed help for my daughter. We went in for a followup and he was very professional and friendly, just as with our previous encounters. If you ever find yourself in need for a GI doctor, I can highly recommend Dr. Fan.

I was very fortunate to be able to still be his patient because shortly after I started seeing him he was named one of the Best doctors by Big D magazine, which pretty much ended taking on new patients. Once you stop seeing new patients Big D doesn't rate you again. However, I can assure you if you are fortunate enough to become a patient of Dr. Hoss, you will get the best professional medical care in this part of Texas!

Not only is she incredibly intelligent in the field of rheumatic illnesses, but also compassionate and understanding, and utilizes the latest technology to find treatments tailored to each individual patient. I have been dealt a blow of a hand of cards in life but Dr. Rao has given me my life back. She is one of the few physicians left who strive to TRULY HELP PEOPLE and find/treat the cause vs throwing medications at you and covering up the problem(s). This angel on earth restored my hope in having a happy and healthy future that was previously dimmed by rampant disease activity so resistant to slow down damage so severe I was told by my prior rheumy I'd be wheelchair bound by age 40.. despite trying dozens of treatments over 2 decades (I am only 38 and have many other chronic ailments such as type 1 diabetes, fibromyalgia, gastroparesis, neuropathy, etc) and in 1 MONTH DID MORE THAN MY PREVIOUS RHEUMATOLOGIST OF 15 YEARS!!!!!! .DR. RAO TAILORED TREATMENT THAT IS PREVENTING FURTHER DAMAGE TO MY BONES, JOINTS AND MUSCLES AND IS EVEN REVERSING SOME PRIOR DAMAGE/DEFORMITIES!!! If you are looking for narcotics/presc. pain meds..keep searching bc this amazing doctor treats the cause of all your disabilities instead of just temporarily covering symptoms. Personally, I have a separate pain mgmt doc who, along with my other team members such as my endocrinologist, gastroenterologist, pain mgmt doc, etc and works with them for what is truly best for me. I cant say enough about the stellar work and human being this doc is! She literally saved my life.
