Tried this place for the first time yesterday. My husband loves Rodizio in Lincoln and wanted to see how this compares. While we still love Rodizio, I can see why people love Texas de Brazil as well! We came after a full day at the zoo with a toddler. He had missed his nap so he was quite crabby. The staff was very patient and accommodating to us. I'm pregnant and they explained which mocktails they were able to make (so many options!!). They had several appetizer options, which my toddler enjoyed. The table was wobbly and the manager was very quick to come over and address it and fix it and we had no further issues with it the entire time. Having a toddler is very high stress at times, especially if a missed nap is involved. The staff was very nice to us and reassured us that we are no nuisance. It felt nice to be able to enjoy a meal in an environment where our presence is appreciated. The food was amazing - I love smoked salmon and they sure had lots of it! They had some great potato options as well. Their meat was probably the best meat I've ever had - The flank was my favorite as an avid meat appreciator. They also kept bringing us their bananas because I could've eaten a whole bundle at the rate I was going lol. Fun time, if you're looking for the Brazilian steakhouse experience! Be prepared that it is expensive though, about $50 for the full buffet. You can just do the salad bar which is still a ton of food, but then you miss out on all the meats which in my opinion is the best part. The salad bar was really big, and had tons of things I enjoyed from cous cous, tabbouleh, a seafood curry, cured meats/cheeses, and fresh pineapple seasoned with some spices. Proceed with caution though. For meats--I mostly stuck with steaks and beef, because you will fill up quick. Loved the flank steak, filet mignons, spicy sirloin, beef rib. I did try the grilled shrimp and one of the chickens, but was passing on most of these and pork options so I didn't have to turn down more filet mignon. They also bring out French fries, mashed potatoes, and a plantain dish for the table, don't fill up here. I do enjoy the cheese bread bites that are also included though. Drinks--we enjoyed the traditional Brazilian rum cocktail, caipirinha, passion fruit was good but strawberry was my favorite. Also loved the dessert espresso martini, which was just simply Liquor43, espresso, and chocolate syrup, but it was amazing and a perfect complement after noshing out on meat. The dessert menu is also intense. Service was good, however my only feedback would be the timing of the gauchos coming very fast after the salad bar trip. I understand them trying to make sure we get to try all the dishes, but there was no room left on the plate, and you worry if you pass it up, they may not come by again with that meat. I tried Texas de Brazil with my fiancé and although I don't have photos of the delicious churrasco I can say the server was very welcoming and attentive to our table on a Tuesday evening. Food was well prepared and the atmosphere was very intimate! They had a buffet style for the sides and the meats get brought to your table. There will be a card that's green on one side and red on the other side if you face the green up the churrasco servers will come to your table and ask if you'd like a variety of meats. If the card is turned to red they will not persist on serving you meat. The Guaraná is an amazonian climbing plant drink. Highly recommended. Everything is fresh, beautifully presented, and untouched. It's like getting the first bite of heaven before the rush hits. We made a reservation, put that we were celebrating our anniversary, and as soon as the host pulled up our reservation she told us happy anniversary, and led us to our table. Our waitress was very good, attentive, kept our drinks full, and asked what meats we were looking for. She made sure to give recommendations and sent the meat servers our way when we ready. It was a beautiful salad bar, and decor. You can tell they put A lot of effort into keeping everything stocked and clean. We went right at 2 on a Saturday so it wasn't super busy. All you get is a picture of a salad, that's the only thing that lasted long enough to snap a quick pic....because: Once you get into the flow of the Gaucho meat delivery people, the service, and the serve yourself portions...this magical thing happens...you forget about your phone, work problems, a stain on your shirt...it's almost like a Brazilian Theme Park. The ambiance is not stuffy formal but you do feel like you're having a unique intimate experience. There wasn't single piece of meat that was cooked differently than I would have wanted. The Sides are amazingly delicious...a distraction...but in a good way. You can see all the bustle of the cooks behind glass, an open pit and flames; there is no chance of a trick here...it's pure showmanship. You don't "wait" on anything and it's as close as you can get to "flame to fork" without burning your mouth. The flavors are something different for anyone...the open pit cooking gives the meat an expected and celebrated real flame flavor. Some of us might not remember that flavor after years of eating reheated, steamed, Sous-Vide'd and production-oven cooked take-away food during the Quarantine years. Terrible service from start to finish. After waiting 15 minutes with no server, I had to track down a hostess just to get help. Our server came once and never returned. I had to keep getting up to ask for meat, the manager, and even our bill. When we shared our concerns, the manager brushed it off with "we're busy," which isn't an acceptable excuse. Recently celebrated my birthday at Texas de Brazil and maaaaaan, this restaurant was absolutely amazing! If you're a meat lover, this is the place to be. Wow!! So many delicious meats. The meat came out hot and fresh, and the portion sizes were more than enough. The salad bar was top notch with a variety of fresh veggies, cheese, and sliced meats. A word of advice, do not come if you are not REALLY HUNGRY because you are going to leave here stuffed to the brim! They also have a variety of soup options, and the lobster bisque as well. It was... fine. Not really a sentiment you want to be left with several weeks after a very expensive meal. Maybe I should say it was good. It was okay? The service was very good. But the food was... good? I just wasn't as excited about all of this as I thought I'd be from my recollection of similar concepts. Definitely fills a gap in the dining scene here but some of the logistics were odd (not letting kids under 10 take home their picked-over plates). The lack of waiting area despite the fact that they won't seat you until your whole party is there. The space lit as brightly as the neighborhood Walmart. This was my first visit to this Brazilian eatery. I have been to several others in the Midwest and West Coast but waited for an appropriate time to make a reservation to dine here. We were seated quickly, but things started slow after that. It took longer than usual for us to get drinks. The variety of meats being served seemed very limited. The salad bar wasn't what I expected. The items they had very limiting items compared to other Brazialian steakhouses. Even the hot food wasn't very hot, a common complaint I read from previous Yelp reviews here. Our server took too long to bring the check, and it wasn't busy tonight. Traveling without my family on Xmas day I wanted to enjoy a good meal and a cocktail. So i stopped at Texas de Brazil as I've been to many others around the country and it's pretty consistent. However this place was def not the "standard." It was an hour wait so I ate at the bar since I really wasn't going to eat endless meat and salad bar anyway. I did walk the salad bar and hot bar to see if I wanted to add it but chose not to. Really poor and limited selections available. Very few Brazilian items. There wasn't even plantains. I ordered the antipasto charcuterie board. I was so disappointed... they brought me end cut pieces of Parmesan. Yes, the hard end pieces of Parmesan. Palm of hearts and vinegar spiced cauliflower and carrot with a bunch of random olives. The olives were fine and dry meat was fine but everything else was embarrassing. Don't bother ordering that. I ordered the appetizer of filet mignon, garlic picanha and bacon wrapped chicken. You basically get a small serving of each. When the waiter brought it to me, he had forgotten the sauce so went to get it. Except he tried to make the plate presentable and placed it in the middle of my plate and with his bare nasty fingers moved the meats around to do so. Who does that... how disgusting and unsanitary. I cut the meats around where he didn't touch. Chicken was fine but the steaks were so tough - how disappointing... it was Xmas and the service was already extremely slow so I let it be. I honestly was trying to avoid fast food on Xmas day travel but maybe grabbing Burger King would have been a better experience. As for service, the hostess were friendly considering they were busy. The bar tender was friendly but didn't know the menu and doesn't know standard dining etiquette. I didn't get cutlery, water- anything- until I asked for it. Wait times for drinks was almost 12 minutes and I'm they weren't slammed with drink tickets. But they were friendly and I'll give them that. The other day, my family finally tried Texas de Brazil after eating at other Brazilian steakhouses often. We have eaten at multiple other Brazilian steakhouses under this same concept. Texas de Brazil was similar to others and exceeded the expectations. Parking is plentiful around the restaurant and the entrance door is located on the street side opposite Steelhouse Omaha The restaurant interior was fancy but didn't make us feel out of place with children. Upon arriving, the host/manager seated us. He asked if we were celebrating anything (my birthday) and he mentioned a complimentary dessert. The service throughout the meal was OK (but I think our server may have been new), and not everything was clicking at top notch. Upon sitting, you are given disks with a green and red side. At other restaurants of this type, you are given one indicator for the table but here each person has their own. Green means you are ready for the gauchos to come tableside with carved meats and red means you are taking a break or are finished. More on the meats later. There are a total of 16 different meats and on different nights, some may or may not be available. I think we saw 9 or 10 on the evening we dined in - they looked tasty and came around at a good speed. My favorites were the bacon wrapped filet, flank steak, and lamb picahna. A couple notes on the meat: meats are cooked "the brazilian way" which is medium rare. We were asked at the beginning if this was a problem and we said no, so I am unsure what would happen if you said that was a problem. It did limit our deisre to select certain options and the kids were not interested in bright red meat. At the time of this writing, dinner was $50.99. When purchased with a full-price meal children 2 years and under are complimentary, 3-5 years are $5.00 and 6-12 years are half price. However, you are guaranteed to leave full and happy! There were several premade salads as well as iceberg and romaine lettuce to make your own salad, with probably over 40-50 different items including the oils and dressings. After that, you have a few warm offerings - we had 5 on the salad bar, which included mashed potatoes, jasmine rice, sauteed mushrooms, and a soup. The meal also includes unlimited complimentary sides, including carmelized bananas, Brazilian Cheese Bread, Sautéed Mushrooms, and French Fries. As mentioned, meats are served in a rotation and may or may not be available at all times. Their menu includes these meats: Picanha, Brazilian Sausage, Leg of Lamb, Chicken Breast Wrapped in Bacon, Lamb Chops, Filet Mignon Wrapped in Bacon, Parmesan-Crusted Pork Loin, Garlic Picanha, Spicy Picanha, Beef Ribs, Barbecued Pork Ribs, Parmesan Drumettes, Filet Mignon, Flank Steak, Petite Filet, Lamb Picanha Overall, Brazilian steakhouses are an expensive but very delightful concept, full of value and guaranteed to please adults and children alike. This was my birthday dinner and my anniversary dinner. I may a rookie mistake, I went to the salad bar and it was awesome. Started on the carbs before we started on the meat. Then after we got into a good pace, they brought out three potato dishes. Oh, and they had these little Brazilian cheese bread nuggets. They get you by making everything taste amazing. My wife and I ate more meat then we've eaten in five years. It was amazing and we hope to take my teenage son there at his next birthday. Let's talk about staff, they where professional, attentive and long-suffering. Our server was named Zee and she was awesome. She made sure we where taken care and she engaged with us about and explained the foods. When she didn't know she readily got her manager Daniel who was more than happy to explain anything and everything. We gave them one chance with dessert. I'm a sucker for creme brulee so we gave it a try. It wasn't even a creme brulee...it was just overcooked custard with a torched top layer. We even told the server how terrible it was and didn't at least take it off the bill. The only thing going for them was that the servers were generally nice and on top of things. Anyway, I don't know if it was just this location specifically or if it's how all Texas de Brazil locations serve food like this. But we do not recommend going here. I'm glad to see Omaha finally got a Brazilian steakhouse, I've been here twice in the last month or so, and for the most part both experiences were very good. First off, you can definitely go here and just get the salad bar and be just fine, as a matter of fact, some of the best food is included with the salad bar. Highlights were the green beans, couscous, potatoes, and charcuterie. But the meat is definitely the star of the show, for the most part everything was cooked just fine, although the chicken and pork was a bit dry on my first visit, but just fine on the second visit. But the sausage is the best of all the meats, spicy without being too spicy, and very juicy and flavorful. The service is fine, the drinks are okay, if a little overpriced, but you aren't really coming here to get drunk, it's the meat and salad bar that are worth the trip. read more

Sides brought to the table; French fires, mashed potatoes, and (mushy plantain wannabes, they were really bananas) all were lukewarm as well. Our table was at the opposite end of where the meat was being cooked so by the time the gauchos got to us the meat was on the cool side. You should have the gauchos rotate on what end of the dining room they start. Too expensive for that quality. Live and learn. NOTE FOR RESTAURANT: tell OpenTable to not ask if you are celebrating a special occasion. In my case, it was a birthday. To which your restaurant gives nothing complementary, so why ask? We love the Texas de Brazil brand and are excited to welcome them to Omaha. Located in downtown Omaha across from the Steelhouse Music Venue. Parking is either paid street or garage. Kind of striking as you go in, large array of mirrors along the wall give the illusion of being bigger than it is. Nice looking interior. Place was hopping when we went. Always recommended to make a reservation. Bar at the front as you walk in, good place to hang while you wait for your table. For those not familiar with this restaurant, absolutely huge/fabulous salad bar with high end ingredients. Multiple soups to choose from as well. Your waiter will introduce you to the concept, each person at the table gets a small placard with green on one side and red on the other, once you have gotten your salad and sides and are ready to pursue your meat options, turn your placard over to green and the gauchos walking around with various grilled meats on skewers will come by and cut pieces off for you. As long as the placard remains green side up, they keep coming. Good variety of meats to choose from as well as some chicken. I love it. Be aware that the meat coming out is going to be medium rare. If you need your meat a bit more done, you will need to ask the waiter for a special order to have the cooks give the entree a bit more time. When we went it was very busy, our waiter was informative and helpful, but perhaps a bit slow to respond to drink refills as well as getting others in our party meat that was cooked a bit more. Two members of the party ended up not getting to eat as much as they would have liked because they could not get any meat cooked a bit more. I think I ate a weeks worth of food in 45 minutes. I grabbed a few veggies off the salad bar, but I was waiting on the lamb and steak. The bacon wrapped filet and the spicy sirloin were probably my favorite selections of beef provided. The lamb...there are no words for how delicious the lamb was. I even enjoyed the mashed potatoes that they provided to us, and I am not a huge potato person. Let alone, dessert...the caramelized plantains were delicious. I ate one full plantain, and that shocked wife because she knows I am not a sweets lover. This was my first ever experience at a Brazilian steakhouse! All I can say is WOW! Service was impeccable, our waitress was so kind and was awesome at explaining the process and what to expect throughout the dining experience! The place is visually so beautiful, you won't regret coming here! I had read previous reviews and they all warned about the legendary salad bar area. While it is visually luring and amazing, my partner and I did enjoy the salad bar and soup area, try not to let it fill you up too full! The salad bar is filled with almost anything you can imagine, and it is so wonderful. But the main reason you come here is for the meats! Guys carrying long sword-like skewers with various meats constantly are coming by your table offering samples of steaks, chicken, pork, and sausages! I couldn't get any photos of the meat cause 1. It was all in my mouth And 2. I didn't want to take away from the actual experience. Every cut of meat is cooked to medium rare, and it's juicy and delicious! Let me tell you, this was by far one of the best experiences I have had! Do not sleep on it, and come down and experience this! 10/10! We did make a reservation ahead of time, and we arrived a bit early as they opened, and I can only imagine how busy this place gets! read more

Food tastes great, absolutely no issues with that. MANY compliments to the people in the kitchen preparing the meats! However, service wasn't very great. There's way too much movement from staff which is understandable with how they do things but literally waiting 40 minutes to catch our waiter (checked on us twice, beginning and after bringing our drinks) and the waitress (checked on us once). The guys with the meats came over often when our cards were showing red (even though we had no, I was still getting the meat on my plate because it was good!) but the overall experience was ok, definitely NOT worth the price of almost $100 (including tip) for 5 people, almost at $500 for small pieces of meat, and endless salad bar. You will eat more and spend 90% less at Pizza Ranch. This was my first time visiting and will be my last, it's just really not worth the hype people say it is. read more

They certainly do not care what they send out for delivery which makes sense as they do not let you do refunds with UberEats. Tried again and was disappointed that besides numerous open tables we were asked to wait in the bar for an hour. The empty tables were not filled for our entire wait.
