I bought a really nice jacket off the sale rack for 50% off, and was sorely tempted by a pair of shoes but I ran out of time. I came back again last week just to browse a bit. The girl at the counter barely acknowledged me, which was a surprise after the grand welcome I got last time I dropped in. Their clothes are definitely "boutique unique", but their prices are much more affordable than any other boutiques I've been to in town. They have really cute shoes, too!

They were so gracious to send me the correct size and made the process very easy. I haven't had excellent customer service like this in awhile and they caught my attention, even from it being an online purchase. When I wear these sandals I will remember this positive experience.

Pardon my French, but it will be a cold day in hell before any Chicom made rag flies over my property. To be fair yeah, I probably should have called them first to ask. I did call after I opened the package, and Linda returned my call the same day. I explained my position as above. She was polite and offered to accept a return, but return shipping was on me. Fair enough, this clearly stated on their website. I explained that no, I am keeping this Chicom made rag so that some other poor schmuck doesn't get stuck with it.

We had a small issue with the item and Linda (owner) went above and beyond to see that it was taken care of. If you need a good quality gift (not just Texas themed) this is the best I have found. They have a huge selection of Texas gifts a lot of which are handmade in Texas. Texas isn't just honky tonks and BBQ (though our BBQ is da best!); we are an incredibly diverse state and this show really does a great job of highlighting that. I'm a life long Texan, but I've learned about so many cool and quirky places around the state from watching this show. The store offers all sorts of Texas related items. Mugs, cutting boards, t-shirts, etc. You can find a lot of cute TX themed items. They also sell merchandise of places they have featured on the show. One of my favorite merchandise items was from El Arroyo in Austin (for those who don't know, El Arroyo is famous for their snarky marquee messages). They had funny puzzles, mugs, stickers, etc. We probably stood there for a good 5 minutes just reading all of the funny messages. The young lady that was working was very sweet and helpful. Unfortunately Shane (the host) and his wife weren't there, but there was a life size cardboard cut out of him that you could take a picture with lol. The TBL Hummers were parked out front which was cool to see. If you're a fan of the show or are looking for TX themed merchandise, this is a great little store to visit.

This is the Journeys in College Station, which is a little bit more disorganized than some of the other Journeys stores, because really this whole mall seems to be. It's also kind of quiet, but it's a good place to come and get your shoes, and if there's a sale on, you can get really cheap prices.

They've got a bunch of White House themed gifts, christmas ornaments, all the stuff that you need to throw a GHWB party! It's fun how some of the gifts are other toys that have been repurposed into a Bush themed gift- for example the parachuting figures are now Bush. The clerk seemed aloof, like she has a pretty tame job sitting in the air conditioning behind the register. I don't think you technically have to pay for admission to the museum / presidential library to get to the gift shop. You do have to pass through a security checkpoint complete with x-ray machine and metal detector to get here. Unfortunately, they don't seem to sell the George HW Bush postage stamps that were issued a while back. That huge papier mache head of George on display isn't for sale.
