We were located inside the Mercantile in the back so we had to walk through the whole store to get to the backside to setup. The building is old looking on the outside, but don't let that fool you from how large and beautiful the inside is. There are so many different merchandises available here. They have antiques ranging from $3 - $200+. Parking in front is very limited, but unless there's an event, you shouldn't have any issue finding parking on the street. The staff are very friendly. There are restrooms available as well and are clean like their shop.

The store itself is interesting enough and I did find a couple unique tchotchkes to take home. Store staff were super friendly, polite, and helpful.

Still has a good selection of gifts and clothing, but it's a bit more economical. They advertise $12 tshirts... get it, *12th man* :) I'd say that price is on par with tent sale prices. Aggies sure do love a good tent sale! I assume they renamed the store Howdy because it's much smaller and has less gifts as the University and Bush store locations.

I love that it's filled with the works of local artists, all of whom are exceptionally talented. On First Fridays, they bring in musicians, host local artists, and create a great environment to spend an evening with friends. They do sell a variety of pieces - paintings, stationary cards, prints, jewelry, etc. A pack of cards definitely caught my eye, but just a heads up, they are a little pricier than you would expect for similar goods elsewhere. But then again, they are much rarer and more unique. I think a pack of six or seven cards were about $15. So, not insanely pricey, but definitely a little more than I would expect to pay. There's such a great diversity of artwork - you'll definitely find something wonderful that suits your taste.

"Howdy! And welcome to the Texas Bucket List."…read more On a recent day trip to College Station, one of the things I wanted to do was visit the TBL Store and Studio because I am a huge fan of this show! Texas isn't just honky tonks and BBQ (though our BBQ is da best!); we are an incredibly diverse state and this show really does a great job of highlighting that. I'm a life long Texan, but I've learned about so many cool and quirky places around the state from watching this show. The store offers all sorts of Texas related items. Mugs, cutting boards, t-shirts, etc. You can find a lot of cute TX themed items. They also sell merchandise of places they have featured on the show. One of my favorite merchandise items was from El Arroyo in Austin (for those who don't know, El Arroyo is famous for their snarky marquee messages). They had funny puzzles, mugs, stickers, etc. We probably stood there for a good 5 minutes just reading all of the funny messages. The young lady that was working was very sweet and helpful. Unfortunately Shane (the host) and his wife weren't there, but there was a life size cardboard cut out of him that you could take a picture with lol. The TBL Hummers were parked out front which was cool to see. If you're a fan of the show or are looking for TX themed merchandise, this is a great little store to visit.

The girl at the counter barely acknowledged me, which was a surprise after the grand welcome I got last time I dropped in. Their clothes are definitely "boutique unique", but their prices are much more affordable than any other boutiques I've been to in town. They have really cute shoes, too!
