On First Fridays, they bring in musicians, host local artists, and create a great environment to spend an evening with friends. They do sell a variety of pieces - paintings, stationary cards, prints, jewelry, etc. A pack of cards definitely caught my eye, but just a heads up, they are a little pricier than you would expect for similar goods elsewhere. But then again, they are much rarer and more unique. I think a pack of six or seven cards were about $15. So, not insanely pricey, but definitely a little more than I would expect to pay. There's such a great diversity of artwork - you'll definitely find something wonderful that suits your taste.

They sell lots of light fixtures & ceiling fans, electrical supplies, smoke detectors, some furniture, doors, windows, kitchen fixtures & cupboard doors/drawers, bathroom fixtures, plumbing supplies, a ton of blinds, slats, curtains & rods, linoleum & tile flooring, W/D, ranges/ovens, refrigerators, hardware, paint, and more. The materials they sell come from recycling from some Habitat for Humanity projects, vendor return/overstock/damage, contractor surplus and salvage, and ordinary people moving or replacing fixtures/cabinets/appliances, etc.... If you shop or donate here you could conceivably: Find precisely what you need. Find something to replace a worn item you hadn't budgeted to fix. Save a wheelbarrel of money. Buy a wheelbarrel. (I saw one there.) Support Habitat for Humanity. Recycle the above & many other items, reducing the environmental impact of production. Contribute to keeping these items out of landfills. Donate sell-able/salvageable items you replaced above, or even bought retail. Keep those replaced items out of landfills. Pretty cool, huh?

This plaza in particular is one of my favourites because it has a good rolled ice cream spot and several cool places to hang out and eat, but best of all it has the Kung Fu Tea of College Station which is one of our favourite Boba shops in the area, and has the same owner as three of the main Kung Fu Tea locations in Houston, including the first one ever in Texas. We like hanging out here and there's a game room in there and everything. And Barbie looks particularly spectacular when she's around here of course.

The two ladies that served us were very pleasant and happy to be of service! I was genuinely impressed at how happy these two ladies were to be helping us enjoy our evening of catching up. I must say, every employee I encountered was very pleasant. Working at the BKG & Wine Depot must be enjoyable because you could tell they all genuinely loved their work. I was able to meet the owner; he made sure to greet each guest and make sure they felt welcome; he is nothing short of wonderful! Since it was a chilly night, we only had a few people enjoy the amazing outdoor space they have. I can see that this outdoor space would call to the small group of friends wanting to catch up or the individual that needs to wind down after work and get deeper into that book they have been meaning to spend more time with!
