We texted a bit, and he even offered to hop on a call if needed. After hearing about our issue, he gave us a straightforward self-fix option to help avoid an unnecessary expense--which we really appreciated. But as we still had some doubts, I asked if he could come take a look (I offered to pay a service fee). To our surprise, he said all consultations are free and was happy to stop by the very next day. In person, Yamil was friendly, clear, and professional. He helped ease all our concerns. Even though we didn't end up needing a full service, the experience was excellent. We'll definitely reach out to him again for future projects--time to start building that honey-do list!

Hiring contractors is scary. It's right up there with hiring a mechanic. I consulted Yelp and read…read morethrough dozens of reviews for different contractors. We called 5 of them for estimates. We received a vast range of estimates. While Alberto was not the lowest, he seemed both fairly priced and knowledgeable. We got a bit overwhelmed by all that we were planning and backed off of our project for a bit. Then it took us a while to find slabs that we liked for our new counters. Once we did, we were ready to move forward. It had been 5 months. When we circled back around, we called Alberto, as we had previously decided that he would be the contractor that we would hire. He didn't seem to mind our delay, although his estimate did increase some. To be fair, this is 2023 and inflation has been terrible. We hired Alberto and his team (Alba Construction) to drop a pony wall, square off an arch, redo that drywall and paint in that area, paint 2 large 2 story interior walls, demo our kitchen counters, demo 4 bathroom vanity counters, demo the kitchen backsplash (in preparation for new counters and new backsplash), cap a pot light and drywall over, install 2 new drop lights over the kitchen counter, and install a pot filler line. He had 5-8 different guys that he lined up for different days and they each had different specialties. They showed up when he said they would and they did their jobs cleanly and efficiently. Alberto was also here working and supervising a good amount of the time. They cleaned up after themselves and finished on time. Overall, we are happy and wouldn't hesitate to hire Alberto again.

Eugene's communication was outstanding throughout the entire process. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and made sure I understood what was being done. Eugene is not only highly skilled but also a genuinely great person to work with. His integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail set him apart from others in the industry. I didn't realize how much getting my: kitchen faucet tightened, office corner-shelves installed or a two floating shelves properly installed (after a previous handyman didn't place into the studs and one failed leaving books on my head!), and getting my doorbell replaced would improve my mental wellbeing. Our homes are a direct reflection of our mental health. I'd had those projects on my "to do list" for months but haven't trusted anyone to come into my home and help. I hired Eugene because he was quick to respond here to my request, he didn't ask for extra fees or anything unfair at all. Kelli showed up on time and respectfully wore shoe covers in our home. When she arrived, I let her know that I was very concerned about the weight of the current sink as similar cast iron sinks online specifications stated they're approximately 130 lbs. My biggest concern was the granite. I have so much granite in the kitchen that it would cost over $10,000 to replace if the heavy sink slips from her hands. No fear - She was ready to get started. In no time at all, she shut off and drained the water, disconnected the pipes, removed the garbage disposal, existing faucet, etc., and entertained me hovering a little bit when she removed the sink ;-) . Turns out, while it was heavy, our current sink was not 130 lbs.; but she was ready to tackle it if it was. She skillfully added the plumbers putty where need be as well as sealant. The quartz sink fit right into place, as did the new faucet and she reattached the garbage disposal. She checked under the sink multiple times for any leaks. Everything works great. The quote Raul provided was the same amount charged. We're very happy to have found Mr. Pfix and I'll be happy to provide their name to my clients and friends when they're looking for a professional they can trust.
