When the crew installed the turf, they broke lines in the sprinkler system while breaking up the rocks in my existing lawn. This caused flooding of the newly installed base, which had to be redone. They had to come out a few times to correct the installed turf. To this day I have gaps in the different pieces of turf they installed. During the process, I had total strangers arriving at my house to ask me "where do I get the rocks". When I asked them what they meant, these strangers told me that an ad was placed on Facebook for free rocks. So, the company thought it was appropriate to sell the scraps from my job on Facebook, giving out my home address. When I called the company, they told me that they would stop. The next day, strangers would continue to show up at my house for "free rocks." Communication was awful. During the sales process...quick call backs and replies to emails. As soon as problems began on the job, I had to call the office several times. I spoke directly to their team members, who several times told me they'd call me right back with answers. Each time I called them, I received no call back. I had to call them back each time to remind them that they had committed to call me back. They also stopped responding to Yelp messages. I recommend you avoid using Ideal Turf at all costs.

Our consultation with Cameron was easy and informative! The install then took a full day. The only thing I wish we could have understood more of during the consultation was that we were going to need to purchase irrigation equipment prior to the turf install, so that was an unexpected expense that day. Otherwise, we received three quotes total to do our work and Ideal Turf offered almost an equivalent quote to the cheapest one we received, yet then seemed the most professional which is why we went with them. We went through several contractors for suggestions and estimates and found some good leads but the cost of the work varied based on the quality and variation of stone. We had heard about artificial turf blended with landscape stones and loved the way it looked. We were initially hesitant because our mindset towards artificial turf was outdated. Thoughts like quality of material, hot turf in the summer and longevity of materials didn't appeal to us. We quickly learned that advancement in the artificial turf industry including material and the warranty and life expectancy of the product sold us. We absolutely love the brand and design of the turf they installed. Blake and Spencer came out and listened to our thoughts about the landscaping. They offered several different options including many that we had not thought about. HOWEVER.... this review is to comment on my overall dissatisfaction with the company's willingness to honor the landscaping/plant warranties - which they didn't do. Instead, they invoked the "act of god" clause, and left me hanging. The dollar figure is a few hundred bucks, and a little bit of my own labor to replace the dead plants... Given the project was north of 200k, it's a minimal impact, but I'm going to be honest, and state that it left me with a terrible taste in my mouth, and wanted to share it with the broader community. Our artificial turf install looks amazing and the crew were professionals. The end product looks and feels like the most beautiful grass. They were very nice people and cleaned up after each day. The crew was here early and worked til dark. It took 5 days to do our yard. They took off the existing sod, did 2 French drains in the low areas, leveled the yard, then added a weed protector, put in a thick layer of crushed granite and then custom cut and laid turf. They basically sewed the yard together with special hooks. After that, they did custom cuts for all the brick work and bender board they put around my landscaping area. Then they added sand to create a grass feel along with a special brushing and hand trimming (with scissors! Talk about attention to detail!). After our yard looked amazing the crew then put down tarps and added seasonal and landscaping elements that made our yard look first class! I can't wait to have a party over Christmas with our friends and family. I also tried out what they advertised on the website: high heel friendly. My nice heels didn't sink at all (which can be so annoying when you entertain outdoors). So every detail, (including the heels not sinking) was so professionally done they they more than earned their !!
