Just had the most unprofessional encounter with Chad Harris the owner. We had install in September of pet pad. They used existing river rock and didn't dig down to install turf, only laid sand/granite over our river rock. We asked for new quote prior to installation because we also removed trees in the area. We had been talking to Jack to try to resolve issue before making final payment. Then recieved call from Chad on Monday, we had paid 2k on installation day. He seemed nice enough and was willing to do a quote adjustment to take river rock/trees into account of 350. So he said we owed 1575. My husband said let's make it 1500 and we will pay cash today. Never heard from him all day and then get this text, "Assuming because your are not responding about payment this is the last and final notice for payment. Tomorrow I'm sending out a certified letter and invoice for the full amount your wife agreed to then I will be starting the process of putting a lien on your property." From Chad the owner Nice customer service! I say telling a customer who is willing to pay that your putting lien on their home is a threat! This was his response, "Please send the full amount of $1575. As you stated in the text above about having final payment of $1500 isn't going to work I will proceed it's not a threat." From Chad again At this point $75 is irrelevant it is how can someone think they can threaten customers. I am guessing we are not the 1st time they use this technique. The owner called us himself to let us know how to maintain it, and explained their process for install. Very impressed with that for such a busy company! We didn't go with the cheaper company either. If I could rate this company a zero, I most definitely would. We had a very unfortunate experience with this company and I hope this review helps others look elsewhere when choosing a company to install synthetic grass at their house. This is not a cheap investment and one should do their due diligence when researching and choosing a grass and company to install. The grass we chose was a shorter length, but was the most expensive amongst the options. We went with this length due to the look we were going for and the sales pitch from the individual who came out to quote us. During install, I realized the grass that was being installed appeared to have fewer blades of grass than what I thought it was going to have. It had a very "thin" look when standing on top of it. And then the installers laid down the sand that goes on top of the grass.... Lets just say the installed grass looks NOTHING like I, the installers, the salesman and the owner of the company thought it would look like. The salesman made multiple trips out to the house after and agreed that it looked thin, bare and understood that I was not happy with the grass. After about two weeks of discussion in person, on the phone and via email the company told me that the grass looks that way because after the sand is laid down in this particular grass option the blades clump up and the grass looks thinner. This would have been nice to know before I made an almost $7k investment in the grass... I advised the company that I was looking to replace the grass as I was extremely displeased with the way the project turned out. I knew I would be out of pocket more money to have this done but the owner of the company said he would work with me and have it redone at cost. I was definitely ok with that being that he gave me some preliminary estimates that I was ok with. After about a month, the salesman gave me the quote for more than half the original cost of the project. In no way was I expecting it to be redone but was a little shocked as this number was no where close to what was originally discussed. I have sent emails to the company for clarification on the "at cost" price but they have not returned any of my emails. On top of not being happy with the projects end results, the seams of the grass where one piece meets up with another are already starting to come apart (after two months) which I have addressed in an email and have received no return. If one has any question about using this company, let me just say DO NOT DO IT. I have all emails pertaining to this project if anyone would like to see them. I have not once been brash or in any way threatening rather, very pleasant. However, after feeling like I was robbed of $7k I can not in good conscience suggest this company to install synthetic grass. read more

We inherited a completely torn up lawn when we purchased the house and when weighing the cost of replacing the entire yard with sod vs. turf, we were initially a little skeptical. Texas Elite came in and gave us the best quote out of 5 different quotes we received and were completely professional through the entire process. A team of about 8-10 guys came in and were so efficient in getting the yard prepped and installing the turf, even disassembling and reassembling our playset. This was all done in 100+ degree heat. When Chad bid the job, he was forthright, believable and thoroughly addressed all my concerns. I believed him when he said I would be thrilled with the quality of the product and the installation. AND I WAS! The grass looks fabulous in my small, shady backyard where I've lost hundreds of dollars in landscaping over the years due to too little light and poor soil quality. But anyone could have sold me this grass. What I would tell anyone looking for a good firm to install artificial grass is that you've got to use Texas Elite. The team of 5 installers where the nicest guys, hard working and perfectionists. They were able to get the job done in one day. I had a fountain in the middle of the yard that needed cleaning and repositioning. Chad assured me when he bid the job that his guys would be able to do exactly what I wanted with the fountain---and they did! The grass, as it turns out, is just the frosting.
