This space used to be another Mexican restaurant that I never tried. I saw the reviews here and…read moredecided to give it a try as I was in the area. I knew this would be authentic food when I saw they have a menu in English and one in Spanish. Mexican decor is on tap, along with Mexican music. All the customers except me was also Hispanic. There is also a slight language barrier but service was still good. The chips and salsa was good but different. The salsa is definitely homemade. I enjoyed it and hated I got so little of it. Ordered the shrimp chimichanga. Came with a salad, rice and beans. I liked the rice. It was flavorful without being salty. The salad was nothing more than iceberg lettuce, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers. Given the state of lettuce right now, I wasn't going to fool with the salad. I don't eat refried beans so I can't review them. But that shrimp chimichanga....I feel like it needs a review all by itself! The shrimp were chopped a little, which I found myself liking more than having whole ones in there, and seasoned and grilled to the heavens! Whew!!!! That had to be the best chimichanga I've ever had! This was so good and I can't stop thinking about it. I brought the leftovers home and plan to heat it up in the air fryer. I know it will still be good!

I am not sure how I have never found this place before now, but I can tell you that everyone else has. This place was packed! Parking was a nightmare. I cut off a cop and stole his parking spot. Yea! Stick it to the man, Adam! Giant community tables full of buffet goers. I wasn't sure if I could find a seat. I was impressed by the size at that point and then realized on the way out there was a whole second floor as well. It is freaking huge! When you pay, there is a little old lady that douses your hands with sprays of sanitizer. I did not care to partake, she did not care, and insisted. We aren't buddies. You can see the stank face she gave me. I don't care though, hater gonna hate. The buffet is rich with country foods. I was in love from the jump. Fast moving buffet food is my jam. They had all the things I like and tons of other things you folks like. I made two trips, I barely got most of the second down so I didn't get to enjoy dessert. That's ok, I like protein way better than sweet things. Thank you Allah for statin drugs! I had all the fried things! Fried chicken livers are some of my faves, especially if there is mashed potatoes and gravy involved. The fried chicken itself was great. Hell it was all good. I see why it's so damn busy. I think it was like $16 maybe. That's with a drink and endless food and dessert. My server was such a sweet lady and the bus staff were great too. They made sure you didn't want for anything and never had a dirty plate in front of you. I will be back as soon as possible. Planning a visit now! '26 - 102

We selected Nonna's as we wanted to eat somewhere that wasn't a chain establishment. We were in the…read morearea and selected Nonna's. The outside has room for improvement, but many of the best food eateries are camouflaged by their exterior so we didn't get discouraged by this. When entering there is a deli styled warmer with the foods they serve for lunch. There are other things that can be ordered from a menu such as burgers and such. The lady at the counter told us this and what the specials of the day were. In the preprepared warmer they had two entrees and several veggies. I got the hamburger steak with gravy, okra, and mashed potatoes. My friend got Cajun pasta, okra, and peas. We both got tea. My food was bland. Not much flavor in the meat or gravy. The potatoes were real and handmade. Okra can't be messed up, or so I thought. My friends pasta was cold, even though it was in the warmer. Then they tried their okra, which they found hairs in. At this point we were both disgusted. The lady at the counter left for the back, so there was no one to talk to regarding food quality. I had eaten part of mine I didn't wait to ask for a refund, so we just left. My friend did comment they didn't say, "Enjoy your meal, because they knew it wasn't enjoyable." Spend your money somewhere you know you'll get what you're wanting. Because I would rather have spent my $30 on fast food.
