Last night was supposed to be our first visit here. It was horrible to say for a first and ONLY visit. I couldn't tell you anything about the food at all, since our order was never taken. My wife and I sat there for over half an hour with chips and salsa, but no one came to take our order. We sat and noticed that other tables, that came in after, were receiving their alcohol before we were even addressed. Needless to say we left after thirty minutes of no service, so I can't say anything about the food. As we walked out, a guy said "Thank you" but I wonder what for as we didn't even order. The interior was a little tired. There isn't a dedicated hostess, so you have to wait for someone to notice you. There were two servers and who might have been a manager in the floor. They stayed busy, the manager continually check on guests and filling service requests. They were all friendly and efficient. The lunch chicken fajitas were better than most in Jackson. I like the spices in the rub and the chicken was perfectly done. The peppers, and o ions were perfect. The chips were thin and the salsa was better than most in Jackson. The rice beans, lettuce and pico were bland. For lunch, the price was very reasonable and I would go back. Don't go if you are in a big hurry. read more

This is our second time eating here, the first time I got a grilled shrimp dish and a chile relleno on the side. I would NEVER order either again. The rice and beans were good though. This time I got a salad (black bean) and a horchata. Both were yummy. I would come back simply because my husband has tried a couple other places here and he's not like any. Karibe Mexican Grill is a good option to head towards if you are craving Mexican food and are in the general area of Madison, Mississippi. I ordered a burrito and it was a good option and something that I would definitely recommend. The service here was friendly and only enhanced my overall experience. My experience at Karibe Mexican Grill was an overall positive experience. Karibe offered a good meal with friendly service. I travel a lot for work and I often eat at Mexican restaurants. I have just found that, at least for me, Mexican restaurants are usually the mostly consistent and I do not have to rely on going to chain restaurants for that consistency. Horrible customer service , I drove 40 mins today to get food as I called back to explain to them that I was missing the sauces and everything that went on my barri tacos I asked the lady would I be able to come back and get a remake with my food with the sauces that are going in and she told me I was not able to get a remake. All she could do was give me the sauces so when I stated to her, would I be able to get a refund she stated to me that I would not be able to get a refund if they don't do refund and the manager is only there on Tuesdays to get a refund so I will have to hold the food until Tuesday, it was a back-and-forth but the minute I decided that I will make a complaint about it when I was able to either get food made over or get a refund but first they previous stated that I wouldn't be able to customer service is horrible. Food was good. I really liked the Karibe Rice with chicken and shrimp. Chips and salsa were both good. Our waitress was nice, but drinks sat empty too long and didn't visit the table that often. They were busy, so she may have been a little overwhelmed. We also never got the tamales we ordered, so we just had them take them off the bill. We would go back. It's a nice atmosphere and the staff was friendly. Food was also really good. I think it will get even better over time if the management keeps pushing for improvement. read more

I called in a to go order and when my husband showed up they had forgotten I had ordered it. He waited for them to fix it. I open the container and it is something I could get for $6 at another Mexican chain. It was supposed to have all kind of extra toppings but they were left out. I called them and just wanted to let them know what happened in case it happened to a not pleasant person! They asked if I wanted to bring it back but it was raining so told them we were good but they needed to check their to go orders better!! This place is fantastic. A notch above the typical Tex-Mex joint. The decor is clean and bright, and the staff is very friendly. There were three of us and we all had the street tacos. One order of three was $12, and it came with rice and beans. TRY THE BEANS. They look like regular refried beans, but they have such a good flavor! You can mix and match your taco order to your liking. They had several different kinds to choose from. I got the veggie (flamed grilled veggies), the rock shrimp taco and the barbacoa taco. They all were delicious. For dessert we had the dulce de leche and the chocolate cake with flan. Both were fabulous. I would highly recommend this place. We will be going back very soon! read more

I went for the first time tonight & as soon as I walked in, I was in love with the place! The atmosphere is very nice. The lights and colors are beautiful! It has been completely remodeled after the old Mexican restaurant left. Booths were comfortable, waiters were nice, & the food was perfect! so much food for a reasonable price. we had the shrimp quesadilla, chicken quesadilla, chicken fajitas, rice, beans, queso, & guacamole & we had no complaints! the bowls & plates were also very nice & not like a normal Mexican restaurant. they were so pretty! service was wonderful. this is my new favorite mexican restaurant for sure!! read more

This place is fantastic! The Cadillac margarita is dangerously good. The Al Pastor taco is one of the best I've had. I also had the barbacoa and carnitas tacos. We just let this restaurant really really bad service. We was over charged and did not give us our refund. The manager said the price had changed but the price was not changed on the menu and plus we Asked our waitress and she also told us the price and it was the same price on the menu, but charged us different cause the manager said price had changed. Food was cold and we have to ask for refills. They barely speak English can't understand what we was ordering and asking for. The manage is the worst manager we have even meet . She keep smiling like something was funny and wasn't concern about what we was saying. She was worried about this is not her place. She didn't compromise at all. This place needs some leadership. I've watched 6 tables walk out. They didn't even get drinks or any sort of waiter attention. We told the waitress we were ready to order she walked off and I had to go get her to tell her we were ready to order. Took us 25 minutes to make our order. This place is a joke.
