Adam's Elementary…read more Don't ask Suzanne Sense to help with anything. My family/son really like this school. But as i said, dont Ask Suzanne Sense to do the extra mile for any student... Recently my son always brings a basketball to school that way more children can play without fighting for what basketballs the school offers. Not long ago April 2022 son was absent & left his ball in his class bin so others could play with. Upon returning the following day his ball was gone. Giving the children the benefit of doubt not stealing, we assumed his ball was put in the wrong 5th grade class bin. School ends at 3pm & since we had basketball practice that evening, he/my son really wanted to located his ball. At 3:15pm we went to office and explained to Suzanne Sense that it was very important we try locating his basketball and explained to her we think another may have simply returned basketball to wrong 5th grade class bin and we would really appreciate if he could go look. Well him going back into school grounds only after school had been out for 15 minutes was a Big No No, not sure why. We then pleaded with her to please go check and was only 100ft away, she refused. Why not sure, but apparently school Was already over as of 15 minutes ago... My son then asked ask "please i have practice tonight" Suzanne Sense them started questioning my son trying to confuse him as if he was mistaking, completely inappropriate. Fast forward she did not help, did not care, yet Servant to the children and parents that pay her salary, ok fine. Upon locating his ball a few days later, another child tries saying it's his and not my sons. Funny thing is, my sons name is written on the ball. Now this child starts following my son around claiming this is his ball, even though his name is all over the ball. End of story, one child is sticking with his story trying to steal my sons ball & my son has to defend himself and his property. This could have w fed up being a fight between two school mates when it could have been avoid days later if this woman was not lazy & cared more for the children. The office staff is rude, unfriendly and Ahelee Cowell rarely responds to emails. There is also immense pressure put on the children to memorize pointless facts and long bible verses. We were very disappointed with our overall experience and the lukewarm christian environment, we would not recommend this school based on our three children's experience.

In the entire 8th grade they wrote two essays and there is no feedback loop for corrections. They baby the students due to their learning differences rather than pushing them. Science and history are adequate but math and English are absolutely subpar. I know at least 4 other families who complained about one of the English teachers but the administration acted as though it was a situation unique to us. Irvine unified came to observe my son's class as part of his tri--annual and advised that he had made zero progress in middle school. They also observed the complete disorganization of the teacher who had planned a lesson where the students were to write an email only to realize the students didn't have the ability to send emails. She flailed trying to figure out how to handle the situation. Lack of use of canvas or email is also detrimental to students moving into high school as they are ill prepared. My suggestion is to start your child there young as the OG intervention in elementary is fantastic. But get out by 7th grade if you want your student to have a chance in high school!

There is one teacher for every ten kids in the classroom, allowing for individual attention. Any behavioral problems are quickly addressed and resolved in a constructive manner that equips students with tools to handle future conflicts. I hate to admit this, but when I compare the way Pegasus first graders interact during free play to the way his public school friends interact, I see a dramatic difference. Pegasus kids are problem solvers; they calm conflicts and seek solutions. Maybe it's a selection bias at the admissions level, but in the end, who cares? I'm proud of my child on the playground and of what he has learned academically. Fingers crossed this continues in his future experiences.

Reading is a huge priority at Moffett!!! They are always helping foster a love of reading in kids through their one of a kind BFF reading program (I can honestly say my kids LOVE for reading started with this program), their outstanding and caring librarian and from all the Teachers! I always see kids with a book in hand, it is wonderful. The art programs at this school are nothing I have ever seen at an Elementary level. The choir and music teacher puts on the most incredible performances, including a full Musical at the end of the year! The lion King, Aladdin, Dr Seuss, and Finding Nemo to name a few! Her dedication to making music fun and giving kids a chance to gain confidence through music is so inspiring and she is loved by all the kids! Made it easy to get to know the other parents and families at the school too. Thank you Mr. Holbrook, Mrs. Brady and the entire staff for teaching, loving and mentoring my boys.
