Now the school removed my child because they don't have enough resources to handle typical toddler behavior. My kid had 4 incidents during the last 8 months (kicking, throwing things, etc.) and apparently that is too much for them to handle. They expect kids to be socialized before entering their program.

Instead of protecting students, certain staff members contributed to an environment where bullying and emotional abuse were ignored--or worse, encouraged. When issues were brought to the attention of teachers or administrators, they were often dismissed, minimized, or turned back on the student. Some staff spoke in demeaning, sarcastic, or intimidating ways, which made students feel unsafe and powerless. Rather than intervening, adults in authority sometimes sided with aggressors or treated students as if they were the problem for speaking up. The lack of accountability was extremely damaging. Policies against bullying seemed to exist only on paper, with little to no follow-through. Students were left feeling unheard, anxious, and afraid to attend school. A school should be a place of learning and growth, not fear. Until this institution takes real responsibility, provides proper training for staff, and genuinely listens to students, it fails to meet even the most basic standards of care and safety.

I went to this school when I was an 1st grade and I had tons (and even mean tons) of experience of going there and having fun and talking to other kids. I still shocked that I still remember the memories that I had in this school (it been 5-6 years). After all that experience is gone when I went to move to Harbor View (which that school is okay at best), I still prefer going to this school. Overall the school is kinda quiet and very very nice (yes I caught myself typing "very" twice). The teachers were outstanding at teaching and caring for other students that are needed for help and I never caught my teachers ever being mean to others. The students are... will... the same, they are very nice and caring for others and easy to make friends. The people that worked at the administration office (or the office in general), are very nice and easy to talk too (there were never strict to kids). But however if you are looking for an kid elementary school, I recommending you to pick this elementary school due to very nice environment and nice people!!! He is funny, witty and has an acute working knowledge of all things science. He uses a technology infused teaching method that captivates his students. He is strict ,yet universally loved. Perhaps it is his plethora of characters and costumes that keep the kids on the edge of their seats! ( my personal favorite is El Cheato, the luche libre masked czar of test taking) Mr.Wood is equally amazing. He has been on many scientific expeditions, even living in Antarctica for months at a time. While away he shares his unique experiences with his students via Skype & video blog. His unique experiences prove to be scientific fodder for the young mind. Mrs. McNally too has an ability to reach children who in other classrooms are not as successful. It's this ability to connect with all her students that makes her another amazing asset to Talbert. Mr. Sotolango, besides being a dream boat, brings enthusiasm to the classroom everyday. He is a favorite amongst students and can often be found during his 30 min duty free lunch dominating students from the soccer field to the basketball court. I could go on and on. Mr. Fockler, Mrs. James, etc etc.....Talbert is by far the best middle school option in FVSD!!!

This is not a good school when it comes to assessment tests ( Which not simply testing whether your kids can communicate back and forth or not) for a kindergarten level. I feel like I got scam, they should have made a video to talk about the assessment tests, warnings for the parents to consider. I don't think the kids will be happy learning anything here. This place is all about money and intense competitions. The era of AI will eliminate these corrupted educations, absolutely bring no values to the kids. Parents nowadays are too busy and think paying a lot means good results.

There is one teacher for every ten kids in the classroom, allowing for individual attention. Any behavioral problems are quickly addressed and resolved in a constructive manner that equips students with tools to handle future conflicts. I hate to admit this, but when I compare the way Pegasus first graders interact during free play to the way his public school friends interact, I see a dramatic difference. Pegasus kids are problem solvers; they calm conflicts and seek solutions. Maybe it's a selection bias at the admissions level, but in the end, who cares? I'm proud of my child on the playground and of what he has learned academically. Fingers crossed this continues in his future experiences.
