His first year was wonderful. I cannot say enough great things about them. Then RSI pulled out of seaside. They had a different director every year, a different curriculum every 6 months to a year, and around 6+ teachers left every year after our initial wonderful year. This school is struggling to figure out who it wants to be- do they want to be trilingual or do they want to be Montessori. Whatever they want to be, they don't tell all the parents about it. Positives: the teachers who have been with seaside the past few years are very nice Negatives: New directors every year, which meant a new curriculum and new vibe every year The administration who controls the directors did not have anything in place to keep the school afloat such as policies and procedures When I tried to reach out to admins (Ms Perla is particularly terrible at communication) to ask them questions, I go no response for well over a year. It should not take a year to tell parents the answer to simple questions. Last year's director screamed in children's faces and while a number of us complained about the discipline, the admins did nothing. Nada. I understand from a recent parent meeting we recently attended that state licensing is involved and they told parents licensing might reach out to parents and/or ask our children questions. Overall, if you're looking for your average school to keep your kid alive until 5pm this is fine. If you're looking for an advanced education, I would not recommend it.

The teachers are genuinely caring, patient, and attentive -- you can tell they love what they do. We use both the before- and after-care programs, and it has been a huge relief to know she's in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment throughout the day. She is always coming home with new art projects, songs, and even little bits of Chinese and Spanish she's picked up alongside her English! It's incredible to see how much she is learning in such a joyful, play-based way. The other families are really lovely too -- even just from quick interactions at pickup and drop-off, there's a real sense of community here. If you're looking for a preschool that balances warmth, structure, and fun with an enriching curriculum, I highly recommend Seaside Costa Mesa. We are so grateful we found them!

We were immediately impressed by the beautiful campus, and how clean everything was. We were so confident in what we saw that we put down a deposit that day, and our son started the following spring when he was two years old. Gaowa has been an incredible place for him. They nurtured his natural curiosity and love of learning, especially when it came to reading and math. He was reading before he turned four, and I truly believe his teachers played a huge role in fostering his love of reading, even bringing in chapter books just for him. When our son was four, we went through a period where he was having some behavioral challenges. Instead of blaming him or us, or making him feel like he was a "problem child," the teachers worked alongside us to give us tools to help him. They approached the situation with patience, compassion, and genuine care, and I'm incredibly thankful for the way they supported our family during that time. We put our daughter on the waitlist before she was even born. She attends Gaowa now, and we've made the decision to keep her there for TK instead of moving her to public school because the education and nurturing environment are exceptional. The teachers genuinely care about the children. They know each child as an individual and create an environment where kids feel supported, encouraged, and excited to learn. Like any newer school, Gaowa experienced some growing pains in the beginning. There was more staff turnover than we would have liked during those early years. However, through all of that, the quality of the education remained outstanding, and over time the school has become much more stable. If you're looking for a Montessori school that provides a strong academic foundation while also nurturing independence, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning, I highly recommend Gaowa!

Communication and overall professionalism could be improved, and I believe parents deserve greater transparency and confidence when it comes to their children's care and education. Choosing a school for your child is a big decision, and families deserve to feel heard, respected, and reassured. I hope the school takes parents' concerns seriously and makes meaningful improvements to provide a better experience for both children and families.

Bottom line: children with medical needs are not welcome here because their medical needs are an "inconvenience" to the staff and other children in the school.

Our girls are ahead of their age group and we attribute that directly to the intentional curriculum and individual attention they receive. What really sets this place apart is the community feel. Our kids light up talking about their day, their teachers, their friends, that tells you everything. If you're looking for a daycare where your kids won't just be cared for but genuinely nurtured and challenged, this is it. Thank you teachers for always giving your all to our littles! Then, just two weeks before he was set to start in Fullerton, we got the call--Shoreline had a spot for him in their new extended infant program. We didn't hesitate for a second. We said YES right away! My son has been going to Shoreline since February 2024, when he was just 6 months old. As a first-time mom, leaving him in someone else's care was nerve-wracking--but the Shoreline staff made that transition so much easier. They've been nothing but kind, welcoming, and understanding. They gave me peace of mind from day one. What stood out to me the most is how even staff members who aren't in his class know his name. It really feels like a community that sees and values every child. He started in room B118 with Ms. Lety and Ms. Tina, who quickly became like his aunts away from home. They cared for him with so much love and warmth--it truly felt like family. He later moved up to room B117 with Ms. Natalie, Ms. Ceci, and Ms. Skylar, and they've been just as amazing. Now that he's in the toddler program, he loves his outdoor playtime. The playground is clean, spacious, and gives the kids a chance to explore and grow. Every afternoon when I pick him up, he proudly walks me over to the playground, as if showing me his favorite place. I honestly couldn't feel more grateful to have found Shoreline. It's more than just a preschool--it's a hidden gem in Orange County, and I'm so thankful my son gets to grow up in such a loving, nurturing environment.

At the time, they had an outstanding kindergarten program where he learned to read right away. Today, he is in the GATE program and continues to thrive academically. When it came time to find a preschool for my daughter, I only needed care two days a week. Ms. Christine and Mrs. Jodi were incredibly accommodating and worked with us to find a schedule that fit our family's needs. We now live a little farther away, but I am more than willing to make the drive because I completely trust them. Ms. Christine and Mrs. Jodi are warm, kind, and genuinely care about every child. They teach strong Christian values, good character, and create a loving environment where children feel safe and supported. Another thing I appreciate is that they prepare their own meals, which gives the school such a personal, family-like atmosphere. I highly recommend Huntington Valley Preschool to any family looking for a caring, faith-based preschool with dedicated teachers who truly invest in their students.

A year ago, I had to withdraw my daughter from her preschool midway through the school year because…read morethe program wasn't challenging enough for her. Finding a new school at that time wasn't easy. When I first visited FVM, there were no spots available, but I was impressed by how well-organized everything was--from the classrooms to the curriculum. I even asked Ms. Sneha, the school director, if I could pay a higher tuition just to secure a place for my daughter because I wanted her to attend so badly. Fortunately, a family was about to leave, and we were able to enroll her. That turned out to be one of the best decisions I've ever made. Since then, my daughter has thrived with teaching tailored to her abilities rather than her age (she has a late birthday, so in the public school system she would still be at the preschool level). Thanks to the support of her teachers, she has excelled academically. After a year at FVM, she took the GATE exam through the school district. Not only was she able to skip a grade, and she was also accepted into the GATE program. I truly believe this wouldn't have happened if she hadn't attended FVM. I'm incredibly grateful to FVM and all the staff. Ms. Sneha is such a kind and caring person. Without her, my daughter wouldn't have had the opportunity to learn here. Ms. Neranja, one of my daughter's primary teachers, holds strong teaching principles, and whenever I speak with her, I feel confident that my daughter is in good hands. My daughter often talks about her teachers at home, especially Ms. Neranja and Ms. Erika. Although my daughter has only been at FVM for a short time, the experience has had a profoundly positive impact and laid a strong foundation for her future educational goals. I cannot thank everyone enough--I am truly grateful.

While TK would have been a great transition, this extra year allowed our child to truly come out of their shell. She created a nurturing, safe environment for our child to grow, while also providing the structure and rules that are so important. This chapter has officially closed for us, but we will always be thankful to Ms. Gloria, Ms. Gurpreet, Ms. Vivian, Ms. Lindsay, Ms. Sneha, Ms. Jahaira, Ms. Remington, Ms. Madelyn, Ms. Bea, Ms. Alicia, Ms. Paula, Ms. Ana, Ms. Neranja, Ms. Enoka, and all the other incredible teachers and staff who make this school such a gem.
