My wife and I stopped into Tewada for a late lunch around 1:30 on a Saturday based solely on the Yelp rating, and we're glad we did. This is not a high-rent location on a gentrified main street, and many folks would drive right by based on appearances. It also wasn't very busy, and that's a shame, because Tewada is absolutely fantastic. We were met by two very down-to-earth ladies enjoying a smoke break out front, and we knew right away that they were going to take good care of us. Our server was a sweetheart and a real character...we love to meet people like her. The place is not big, but it's well-worn and very cozy, and also super festive with all of the cute Easter decorations. We started with an order of fried dumplings, and they were very tasty, presented with care, and were obviously homemade. My wife then ordered a boba tea that she really enjoyed. For entrees we both went with a curry dish. My wife ordered the red curry noodles with shrimp, and she was very happy. She is not big on spicey food and went with the lowest level of spice - she chose 3 on the (kind of odd) 3-10 scale. Although it did have a small kick to it, you should not be scared if you too don't like hot and spicy food. I picked the massaman curry with chicken at 7 on the spice scale. I can't say enough about how much I liked the dish...fantastic! And speaking as someone who does like spicy food, a 7 is about as much as I would recommend for the typical American pallet. It was HOT, but still flavorful and enjoyable. Is this place fancy? No. However, the food was authentic, homemade, and not something you'll find very often. We watched as several locals came in for take-out or just boba for the kids, and it was clear from the long conversations that this place is valued in the community. We left with a smile, talked about it all afternoon, and will definitely be back. A solid 5! read more

EXCELLENT!! I ate here a little while ago, I've been meaning to leave a review for sometime. Ever since I ate at Tewada Thai, I have compared every other Thai restaurant to their excellence. So far, the food here was the most authentic and the most delicious I've had. The food came out hot and the server made me feel like I was in their home dining room. My favorite dishes were the drunken noodles with beef and tofu, spicy level 7/10 and Somtom (Papaya Salad). I also highly recommend the pumpkin custard, it melts in your mouth! We also ordered the crispy fried whole pompano with garlic in advance, it was out of this world delicious with the special Thai sauce on the side. Have gone by this place and never stopped. I was doing myself an injustice. The place was clean, service was quick and friendly. Food was spot on. For the first visit I selected 4 on the heat scale for my Drunken Noodles. It had good heat but not offending. Wife chose 1 for her Pad Thai, no sign of heat at all. I will probably go to 6 next time. As long as I have a Taro Milk Tea, I will be good Big portions (lunch tomorrow). Don't drive by. read more

Friendly service and great Thai food. The Tom Tum soup, curry rice, and panang curry were very good. The crab rangoons tasted good but were a little on the small side (for some reason plump and fully filled rangoons can be hard to find). The curry was flavorful but wasn't as thick as we are accustomed to. The dining area was clean and our drinks were kept filled. Definitely a 4-5 star Thai restaurant. I've tried Thai food all over the place, and the Thai food at Tewada is definitely some of the best I've had. Our order was ready very quickly, less than 20 minutes. The Avocado rolls were a bit messy, but fresh and very good. The pad thai was delicious and the shrimp was cooked very well. The Chicken Peanut Salad was inedible and I actually threw it away. The garlic chicken meal and chicken fried rice were very bland. First time in last Friday (3/25/220; The establishment and restrooms were clean, which is a big thing for me. Decor was inviting. Music was what sounded like Asian pop. Which we got a kick out of. Food was pretty good! We tried a few new items to us that we have not seen in previous Thai restaurants. Food was not as hot as we would of liked. We started with an order of steamed pork dumplings-- phenomenal-- and took turns afterward literally dipping our forks into the sauce served with the dumplings because it was just. So. Good. I ordered the Penang Curry Noodles with steak at a spice level of 5 (you can decide from 3 to 7 how spicy you would like your food) and my GOD it was fantastic. It starts out very rich and flavorful, but then the spice comes in with this almost healing taste. Like the kind of taste where you feel cured of some sort of previously uncovered illness with each bite. Our food was finished and at our table in less than twenty minutes, and the lady running the place was really really nice. Solid Thai food coming from a couple who lived in South East Asia for years. Fresh ingredients, great menu, and an added bonus to the food scene in Butler City. Excellent Thai food! The menu has a wide array of choices with some seasonal options. I have tried the Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, and the steam buns appetizer. All were extremely delicious and with really fresh quality ingredients. Another fun offering is this is the only place in Butler, PA that offers Boba tea! Try the Thai iced tea!
