Crazy Thai is a hidden gem in beaver falls! A good friend of mine lives out that way and was craving Thai so we got lunch takeout. Great lunch portions for the price and I appreciate a restaurant that still does lunch portions! I assume they mostly do takeout because there was very little seating but I'm sure it would be fine to dine in. I did grubhub pick up and the staff person was packaging my order up as I arrived and was very friendly. We enjoyed the spring rolls, pineapple curry and the spicy pad priking! The egg rolls were nice and crispy. The pineapple curry was so well seasoned, still coconutty from the broth and just comforting. The pad priking was also very good - I got a spice level 5 and it was very hot! I like spicy so it was good, but just beware if you get any hotter it's going to be fiery! I've ordered from here in the past and I've always been happy. I opted for Door Dash tonight and everything still arrived hot and delicious. I had the Chicken Pad Thai (spice level 4) and the Crazy Combo. The Chicken Pad Thai was flavorful and cooked well. The spice level seemed higher than the last time that I had a 4, but I managed just fine. Is just be careful that you don't overshoot your heat tolerance when you order the first time! The Crazy Combo included two chicken satay, two crab rangoon, two spring rolls, and two dumplings all with dipping sauces. Not good. While edible... it was lacking flavor and quantity. The portion size is very very small. The spring rolls are half the size of a typical spring roll... I would say that 4 of them together are equivalent to one egg roll. And for 10.95... that is just nuts. Crab Rangoon were also tiny. Stuffed with very little crab or cream cheese: and they were greasy. The lo-mein had no flavor and the beef was tough. The general tso's chicken was terrible. My son, who normally loves it, wouldn't eat any after the first bite. I barely got through the small order. It was tough and greasy and had no flavor. And it was $19. Crazy Thai was a surprise for me. I was swinging into the place next door for a quick sandwich, but they were out of bread, so I stopped in here. Very small with some seating. It's not a very typical dining area. Half of the room is reserved for personal use and an area for the owners' kids to play. Don't let that turn you away. The food and service were excellent. I ordered take-out, and it was ready in about 10 minutes. Everyone was very nice. The food was full of flavor, and the portions were appropriate. I did order a little extra, a sort of sample order, so my order intended for two was about $60. This wouldn't be your typical two person meal. Be cautious of the spice levels. On a 1 to 10 scale I got a 4 for my wife and 6 for myself. 4 was definitely enough for me. Six had some heat. We will return to Crazy Thai and do recommend it. read more

We were so hopeful coming here for the first time since there were so many good reviews. The woman working was very friendly and her son was adorable. We sat in a booth and we noticed the entire window sill next to us was covered in flies and cob webs. The woman was wearing a mask and gloves. We asked for a 5/10 spicy and it was more like a 9/10. It was sooo spicy that we could barely eat it. Then, I noticed the bug on my boyfriend's broccoli and we immediately stopped eating and asked for the check and left. A nice cozy little restaurant tucked away behind the Main Street in beaver falls. I was pleasantly surprised with the food. I ordered chicken fried rice with a spice level of 7 (on a scale of 1-10). Let me tell you, when they say "spicy" they take it seriously. I could have probably gone higher on the spice level, but man it was pretty darn spicy at level 7. Just a small plain dining area. I get the Pineapple Curry Chicken Meal. Heat selections go from 1-10 with a Thai heat selection of 11-15. I usually get a 7-8 at Thai restaurants. What a disappointment the second time I ordered the same dish. The duck for which I paid $5 extra was dry and not moist as it should be when it is fresh. There were way too many rice noodles compared to the first time. And not nearly enough freshly cooked vegetables, including fresh, raw bean sprouts. I am a Chinese woman who has emigrated to the US from Hong Kong. Of course, what is called Asian food here is not truly authentic. I am used to that because it is adapted to appeal to non-Asian palettes. However, this was really bad: and not at all worth the $18 I was charged! Very expensive for what you get. Takeout was $50 for two noodle dishes and an order of summer rolls. No drinks, the place was empty. The rolls were made at least a day prior if not more. Pad Thai 9 spice had no flavor, no veggies except a few green onions and 6 shrimp. My wife who likes sweet commented on how sweet the Pad See Ew 3spice was. We also had the fresh spring rolls in rice wrappers. They were very refreshing. We had curry rice with chicken, plus massaman curry with tofu. Both had excellent flavor. Asked for a number 2 on the heat scale (1-10). The curry rice was just perfect but the Massiman curry was so hot I could not enjoy it. Sadly, because it was full of lovely, rich flavor! It's a tiny little hole in the wall on the side street. You may just drive right past, but I recommend that you go in and try it out. I had a friendly and prompt greeting. I was the only one in there the whole time. I ordered general Tso chicken with fried rice (you can pick the heat from 1-10; I chose 6). It came with either lemongrass or wonton soup. I chose wonton. I wasn't too impressed when the soup came out. One tiny little wonton in a cup of broth with a few green onions. I thought this was glimpse of things to come. I can't explain why they didn't put more in the soup, but maybe because I got so much on my plate. The chicken was just how I love it. It was crispy with a kick of heat. The rice was extremely tasty. It came with broccoli florets and there were nice sized pieces of carrots in the rice too. I also purchased a soda with my mealI highly recommend this place! You have to give it a try. read more

As someone who loves Thai food, I was hoping this would be as good as the reviews indicated. As another reviewer noted, don't go here for the ambiance. It's a room with a few tables and metal chairs with pads, nothing really on the walls, no music, and poor lighting. Why does this matter? Well it's indicative of the care the owners put toward the overall care for the customers, and so uncharacteristic of nearly all of the Thai restaurants I've visited in the past. The solo waitress looked overworked and not happy to see us arrive. I was bringing two people who had never had Thai food before, and I needed to order carefully. The short answer is that I'm sure some of the food is good, as was my coconut chicken soup (often called Tom Kha Gai or similar), while other items aren't so great. I'd say give it a try for takeout, support the owners, but hopefully the owners will make a better effort to make it a place you feel is well-cared for and worth visiting. I'm likely not returning though. read more

Went in yesterday and ordered Curry Fried Rice with Tofu and Pad Kee Mow with Tofu. The chef overheard my husband and I talking about Mung Bean noodles that we get at a Thai restaurant in Pittsburgh. He remembered he had a stash of the noodles and offered to make my husbands order with them. Food was beautiful and flavor was outstanding. This place used to be Songs, but to be honest, it's better in all areas. The food quality and flavor is some of the best we've had. It just feels and looks cleaner. The chef and hostess were incredibly nice and seem to go out of their way to please their customers. Go here everbody!! We can't lose the only Thai restaurant in Beaver County. read more

Restaurant changed names from Song Thai to Crazy Thai. I wish they would post their menu on Yelp. I had heard there was a local Thai restaurant, so I had to try it out. Nice clean restaurant, located on a side street behind Subway. Not many tables, and there were only 2 other people at another table inside. But they were very busy with take out orders. Not surprising! When I visit my daughter, who lives in Greentree, we will usually go to Papaya, where I'll get my favorite Mango Chicken Curry at a spice level 8. At Song Thai, I ordered the Pineapple Chicken Curry. Since I was unsure at where Song Thai spice levels were, I ordered a 7. The waitress had a quizzical look on her face, likely most clientele in the area go for a very low spice. The 7 was the Perfect spice level for me to properly enjoy the flavors, since this was a first time visit. So good, very flavorful, with very large portions. I ordered the Thai Iced Tea along with it. Perfectly flavored, stronger than Papaya! I was pretty hungry, so I finished my curry. Leftovers never taste as good, so I really wanted to finish it. Not enough room for dessert. Next time, I'd like to try the Pumpkin Curry. I'll try to save room next time to try out a dessert. What a treasure to have so close!
