I had been using another tree service over the…read morepast 10 years or so, and although they were always top-notch as far as their service, they were much more expensive - ridiculously so, I've since discovered. I won't name them because they are also very good at what they do. But I wouldn't recommend them unless price is of no importance to you. Edgar gave me an incredibly fair price to take down two large Silver Maples (approx. 40' and 50' tall) and haul away all of the debris. They were careful to not disturb our yard (which just had new sod put down this past Spring), and carefully replaced everything that they needed to move. Due to certain logistics regarding where the trees had been located, I couldn't have the stumps ground. But Edgar was able to saw the stumps down practically to ground level. I really can't say enough good things about Edgar and his crew or recommend them highly enough. They were on-time, considerate and thoughtful, attentive to detail, and highly efficient. I will be using King Tree Services from now on for all my future tree care.

David showed up on time for a quote and provided great advice during the discussion about the job scope. Tonya kept in touch with scheduling after accepting the quote and shared their business license and insurance. On the day of work, it was great to have David lead the project work. He knew exactly what needed to be done and was respectful to conflicts on my personal calendar during the day. The crew showed up around 12pm and were done around 3:30pm. Not only was the work completed efficiently but for a really good price compared to other providers. The crew also left the site clean as a whistle. Despite agreeing to an additional price on the spot, the owner continued to complain and argue about the main tree branch I requested him to cut, which is closer to my neighbor. he focused more on talking than completing the work. The other guy who came with him worked hard, but the owner was just talking. I should have canceled it the moment I saw his attitude change when he arrived for work. As a result, the job was not done properly, and I will need to hire someone else to get the job done properly. If you want the job to done by someone who agreed to it . the moment that person started complaining , it is better to cancel because he is not happy and won't do a good job.

I recently had a large white oak limb split off an older tree after an ice storm. I have never had…read moreto deal with this situation before, so definitely needed a subject matter expert, especially one I could trust, to provide guidance and possible solutions. This industry is dominated by small, typically family owned businesses, at least here in Northern Virginia. I was quickly inundated by business cards left in the door, or guys dropping by to provide a quote. All of the tree folks I talked to said the entire tree had to come down, it had rotted from the inside of the tree, so no cheap solution here. This giant tree was next to a road and our house, some special care was needed to be taken by an expert to deal with this. Everyone I talked to seemed very knowledgeable, so it really came down to price and how long they had been in business. Luckily for me, a local business very close to my house fit the bill. Billy Bradley and his son came by and talked to me about the job, assured me they were licensed and insured, and I knew they were a neighbor so if anything didn't work out, I knew where they lived! His crew came by and got it done to my specifications within a day! I burn wood for heat, a bit of a doomsday prepper I guess, so I wanted to keep the wood but it had to be cut to a certain length. He did as I asked and chipped all of the branches so we could use the wood chips in our garden. He had a guy of his come and grind the stump for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend Billy and his crew and plan on using them to trim and maintain our more mature trees for the foreseeable future.

Sierra's tree Service removed four trees for us a few days ago…read more We are most interested in quality of service -- especially these days when quality is difficult to find. First, they were prompt, and were here when they said the would be (5 stars) Second, they were professional, and offered actual guidance other than, "Yeah, we can do that. " Third, price was fair. Fourth, Arturo of Sierra's had suggestions for the future. He and his people have extensive knowledge of the local area, and how to prepare for the future growth of our yard which is heavily wooded. Fifth, their arrival was prompt and they were very well-equipped. Sixth: Insurance is readily available, and safety protocols were followed. Any concerns were quickly alleviated. One tree was enormous, around seventy feet, and with ropes, the climber excuded such confidence as not to worry us. There was a great deal of clean-up, and I felt they would have to come back the next day. But, Arturo ensured us they would power through. Though it took until sunset, and basically all day, the job was finished as he said it would be. We have more work to do, and we'll no doubt be incorporating Sierra & their crew. The teamwork was seamless and safe, and I trust their opinion how to best use this land & property. I've dealt with those companies, as many have, where I'd like the opportunity to give even fewer than one star. Sierra's, in my experience, I could give even better than five. I don't give these kind of reviews lightly: these are people I would recommend highly, as in the future I intend to contact them directly. I just can't imagine better work, nor better service.
