Pacific Alley is an Asian stationery shop Colorado has needed for years. I lived in Korea and have…read moretraveled to Japan, so I know what a good stationery store feels like, and this one delivers. Since my first visit out of curiosity last year where I delightfully picked up my favorite gel pen (The UniBall One P 0.38 mm) and a Maruman Septcouleur spiral notebook, I've been back much more frequently this year. Since July, I've been by at least once or twice a month, mostly to see what's new on the rotating shelves. The stock changes often. There are always new stickers, plus items like their super cute and functional Kakusta standing pen cases, which sell fast, especially in the pastel gummy colorways. The curated selection includes Japanese notebooks and notepads from renowned brands like Maruman, Midori MD, Daigo, Kokuyo and more, as well as BGM washi tape, sticker sheets and flake or die-cut stickers, 3D stickers, gel pens, felt tip marker pens, mechanical pencils and lead, and other paper goods. I restock a few of my favorites here: MD envelopes and Stickii Club Special Delivery Stickers, both of which are part of my regular pen pal letter writing hobby. If you write letters, journal, go through notebooks prolifically--or just like looking at cute stationery and imagining the possibilities--this is a great place to browse. They also carry official K-pop albums, including popular new releases, collectible blind box figures, and licensed Sanrio merchandise. I'm less into K-pop now, but any K-pop fan in Colorado should make it a priority to visit this store! The owners are a local Filipino family who obviously really love K-pop and stationery, and it shows in the events they host: K-pop buy/sell/trades, cup sleeve events, idol birthday and debut anniversary celebrations, and junk journal days where they provide free materials, snacks and drinks so anyone can come and make spreads together. Prices are more than fair. Unlike some brick-and-mortar shops that often charge steep markups for these hotly in-demand premium Japanese stationery items, Pacific Alley is very reasonable. I feel good spending my money here, knowing it goes to a family operation that gives back so much to the local community. They're also very responsive to customers. When shoppers ask for specific items, they note requests and work to stock them. I hope to keep shopping at Pacific Alley for many years!!

Always a pleasure to visit. They have so many choices for gift items and kpop merchandise. This…read moretime I got to take a photo with 'Jungkook.' And so many cute blind box options. Prices are comparable to other gift shops in the area. They welcome you with so much love that I try to bring new people here so they can know about the store.

Even after moving up to Denver, it wasn't convenient. Needless to say I didn't shop much in the brick-and-mortar store, but I did shop (a lot!) online. That's why I was so excited to see a Box Lunch at Town Center in Aurora! Kellen, the sales associate, was so friendly and helpful. Her service is the type I was used to shopping at the Mall of America location. I asked her how long the store had been open, and she said it opened last week. I also asked her how long she worked for the company, and she said while she trained up at Flatirons Crossing, this store was her first official location. You couldn't tell, since she had amazing product knowledge and super customer service. The store had a fantastic selection of Disney, Star Wars, Harry Potter, and other types of genres. They had all kinds of products, and even had a nice sale going on. As usual, I walked out with a bagful of stuff. Kellen helped fix my phone number, which someone had entered entirely wrong into the system. When she couldn't find me via my phone number, I told her to brace herself when I gave her my email. She started smiling because she knew it was a combo of Disney and Star Wars. She pretty much had it memorized when she had to reenter my info. I left with not only some sweet deals and awesome shopping bag, but a smile on my face thanks to Kellen's customer service. And don't worry: I'll be back soon!

There was a gentleman with the best hair who just had the most bubbly spirit. And EMILY wow Emily embodies the definition of customer service. She was so willing to help us find the right size, even called another store to put a sweater on hold for me! I definitely didn't think walking in today I'd walk out in a better mood. Much love, Renee

Rocket Fizz

I want to start by saying that ALL Rocket Fizz (it is a franchise) have outstanding customer…read moreservice. I'm not sure if it is trained, or just the general personality disposition of people that decide to own one, but I have never been to a Rocket Fizz that has had poor or displeasing service. That out of the way, this particular shop really took the cake (or candy bar) in terms of excellent customers service! My family and I cannot express fully how kind, amazing, and attentive the staff was at this location. I know it may seem silly, but we talked about how great this candy team was for a good 30 minutes+ after we left. There are two specific instances I will bring up. 1.) My Daughter's Birthday Bonus! Now, they didn't know this, but my daughter doesn't get to go to Rocket Fizz very often but loves the store itself. She particularly loves the specialty sodas. Her favorite is called 'Unicorn Yack' (I know, it's grossly titled purposefully and is actually sweet and fruitful flavored). The last couple times we have been to other locations...we haven't been able to find it. My daughter was talking to me and brought up, almost rhetorically, that she wondered if they still made this. The Rocket Fizz Wizard (Rocket Fizzard?) overheard and asked what she was looking for. She mentioned it and they go, "I've got cold ones right here!" and showed her them and that they had extras on the shelf. She was so, so excited. We told her what a great birthday surprise! The Rocket Fizzard then said, "It's your birthday?" She said yes, and they told her and the cashier, that we should feel free to shop and everything we buy for her will be 10% off her special day. She - sincerely - shook with excitement. She felt so acknowledged and special...it really made her day. 2.) The Sign Situation A couple years ago we used to have a Rocket Fizz in my state (Iowa), but it closed. At one visit, my mom saw a sign there. Rocket Fizz, on top of candy, also sells quirky novelty metal signs and other eccentric items. She said she'd pick it up later, but never saw it again and then the store closed. I didn't realize how impactful this silly sign was, but apparently she looked for it every time we took my daughter to one in CO, ha. She told the Rocket Fizzard about it when they asked if she needed help finding anything. They knew the exact sign. They scoured the store looking for it, front and back. They returned and said they couldn't see it but knew - they've seen it somewhere. Apparently, Rocket Fizzard has two Rocket Fizzes in the area. They called the other store and asked their staff member to look. TA-DA! It was there! They told their staff member to please hold it, gave us directions to the second location (wasn't far), and also - a little aside I overheard - told their staff member thank you and how much they appreciate them (great, positive, boss...) 3.) A Little Note The Rocket Fizzard also had a name tag that prominently displayed their preferred pronouns. I thought that was a very kind and inclusive little way for all to be welcomed/accepted. NAMES/SHOUT OUTS: The Rocket Fizzard is played by: Adonay. I want to thank them, from the bottom of our candy hearts for providing us the BEST Rocket Fizz experience, and one of the best overall customer service experiences ever. I do not recall, but they may oversee both locations we went to this day. Either way, they are doing an excellent job. Isaac: Our cashier who was pleasant, fun to chat with, and also - great customer service Krissie: She actually works at Adonay's other shop (I didn't go in), but she held the sign for my mom, and she wanted to make sure I mention her because - again - great customer service. If it isn't clear, I highly recommend this place and will ab-so-lute-ly will be returning. Thanks!

There seemed to be a lot of basic "can get anywhere else" options and less of an atypical type of selection. Would likely go back if I'm in the neighborhood but would rather try some of the shops NOT in an outlet mall instead.
