I love coming to this location! Xiema (I'm spelling it wrong, but the beauty, body care, hair care, and she also does supplements) and Jackie are my absolute favorite! Plus they have boxes to box all your stuff, I love it. Such a better way to reuse all the boxes than to trash. - Organic Grass Beef Tallow (find it in the oil section)- Moisturizer for your skin! Use it every where. I swapped out my face creams and lotions over a year ago and my skin is the best it has ever been! - Bonafide Beef Bone Broth (in the frozen section) - this stuff has literally transformed my entire well being. I drink a mug full every morning with Celtic salt and it has had such amazing benefits to my overall health. Not groggy, I don't feel tired throughout the day, healed my gut! And has aided in my weight loss and making my bones stronger! - Harmless Organic Coconut Water (fridge section) - I drink this after I workout. This is one of my favorite stores on the area. The customer service is usually great. Unfortunately I had a bad experience with in the supplement dept with 2 separate woman that didn't even attempt to look for me- one literally said oh yeah we don't have much by source naturals- it must have been the store on university that I saw it in online in store- when I decided at that point to leave the store- it really seemed like I was not wanted there- (Ended up Spending 306$ at Whole Foods instead of NG) I decided to just check just to see, as soon as I turned around and looked up as I was walking to the supplementary section there it was tight in front of my face, so yeah. I'm sure I'll be back, but yeah my money went to a different store because of the service yesterday. Would like to note; The lady that said that said she had never heard of one of the items I was looking for *NAG and that it must be NAC- It actually is NAG. One of the bigger Natural Grocers I've been to! This one is super nice and the staff is friendly and helpful! We went here to get milk but their prices were a little outrageous so we left with some kombucha that was on sale instead! I liked all the choices they had on groceries and the cleanliness of the store. Just wish the prices were a little more reasonable for groceries. I really like Vitamin Cottage in general, but I especially like this location. Everytime I go there, they ask if I need help finding things, etc. If you're a Whole Foods shopper, your getting ripped off. EG: 6 pack of Zevia soda at Whole Foods $6. At Vitamin Cottage--$4. It's a much better deal. To me Whole Foods has become a rip off and what happened to their staff? I'm glad someone told me about Vitamin Cottage since I'm on an all organic diet. The store is fine with lots of great deals. My concern is the extremely rude small asian woman who served me at the cash register. No greeting, just yelling in an incomprehensible manner which made it that much worse. I came to return a product and purchase another instead. This person (Pho I believe she's called) start ranting, "You returning this? You fill out this!" She slammed a pad and pen on the conveyor belt expecting me to fill out the return slip. All the other customers where shocked at her behavior as well. Then she barked instructions on how to return my money which I didn't understand. I had enough and called the store manager. I always like to give credit when it's due, and this place definitely deserves my five stars! I recently started working up the street from this location, so I've stopped in from time to time to pick up a few things. The first time that's worth noting, I was looking for a sleep aid. The woman working in that area listened to my troubles and pointed me toward the perfect product to help with my sleep deprivation! The second time, I was looking for a really good chapstick. I have one spot on my bottom lip that, no matter what I've slathered on, continues to split and bleed nearly every day. I've been going to this store for many, many years, waaay before they moved to the new building. I just saw a bad review about "a small Asian woman" who I've known to be a good employee for many years. She must have been having an off day, as we all can sometimes. Perhaps this is a cultural misunderstanding? The reviewer seems like a pompous ass whose ego was insulted. Or, in character for this kind of intolerant self-important customer, perhaps there was something wrong with the return and they had to make a big stink to press it on them? "All the other customers were shocked"? Really? I kind of tend to doubt it. She didn't even greet YOU? She expected YOU to fill out the return slip? The nerve! Get over yourself. People loose their jobs over this kind of review extortion. Talk about "small". If this isn't a racist review, why even mention that she was Asian? I love shopping here. All of their produce is organic, so I don't have to look for it. They have an extensive Kombucha selection and a couple of options on tap with growlers you can buy, Einkorn flour, which I haven't found anywhere else, and I can find any vitamins, clean supplements and clean shampoo, cleaners and household maintenance products. To add, the staff are very helpful and friendly, the store is clean and organized, and the folks who shop there aren't pushing to get in and out as a result...it seems they enjoy the shopping experience there too! read more

Have you ever compared the people that shop at Whole Foods vs. Vitamin Cottage? Night and day people, but good for people watching comparisons. Nonetheless, the mrs. is on a healthy kick and wants to better prepare me for senior citizenship when taking hundreds of pills daily is necessary. Now, we're doing it so maybe we only have to take twenty pills when we get that old. Half this store is setup with pills of all sorts, dietary supplements, etc. The other half is a little grocery store with a huge array of organic produce, meats, eggs, etc. Would you like some ground lamb? You can get it here, but you'll pay for it. They also have a huge assortment of gluten free items such as...pizza! They carry a gazillion different organic fruit juices and even some lunch-type items you can take. Overall, you're usually going to pay more here, but if you need a particular hard-to-find health item...odds are they either have it or can order it. Oh, and they have food for Fido too...I've just never looked at it, cause feeding my guy organic food seems odd. read more

They have a wide variety of different vitamins and herbs, and a small grocery section offering fresh produce and healthy varieties of different store products (items that you would see at a store like Sprouts). I do not shop at Vitamin Cottage very often but I do like to come in a buy local organic meat, an item I have found to be very difficult to find elsewhere. I like that they offer organic foods, prepared foods as well as a ton of natural health products. It really is a cool little store. I highly recommend the meat, even if it is frozen, it is far better then the crap in the regular super market. Just be sure to bring your own bags because they do not provide bags. read more

I have shopped it all the other so called natural grocery stores like Sprouts, Whole Foods (better known as whole paycheck) and you cannot compare them to the quality and value of Natural Grocers. Besides that, they are the only store supporting a group of non-GMO contenders in Colorado by letting them into the store to inform people about GMO's and asking them to sign a petition to make sure that they legally have to be labeled in all stores. Natural grocer also carries many food products that are from local or privately owned companies so your dollar doesn't go to supporting big business. Love this place! Love this place! read more
