I was wandering around Stanley Marketplace with a few of my girlfriends today and Trunk Nouveau caught our eye, so we popped in to look around. The store is a lifestyle brand that has jewelry, stationary, perfume, candles, and more. The two ladies working were the absolute sweetest! I like to collect rings from everywhere I travel and realized that after numerous trips to Denver that I've never gotten my "Denver ring". After looking at the unique and cute collection they had and some compliments from the lovely staff, I decided to get an oversized light brown sparkly ring. The minute I tried it on, I fell in love! When you stop in to a little gift shop and find the most adorable cards, you have to buy them. This is not a Trunk Nouveau lesson, this is a life lesson. This is Truth. When you find adorable things with pretty designs, you need to peruse, and take home a little something. Flowers, mountains, animals, silly sayings; whatever the case may be, they have adorable handmade cards that you should probably check out and take home. It's not just cards, but that's my favorite section. They also have decor items, jewelry, other paper goods, and just about any other cute thing you can imagine. You can even bring the kids in, even though it's not necessarily aimed at them, they will probably find a few little things that delight them, too. It's inside of the Stanley Marketplace, which is my new favorite place in Denver. You can get your cute cards and jewelry, then go get a donut, ice cream, coffee, flowers, and lunch and not walk more than few paces between each stop. My word! Just because this store is obviously aimed for mommies and their little loved ones, doesn't mean the limit ends there!!! This place has wonderful selection to buy projects for daddy and gifts for grandma and grandpa! There are also lots of board games, hand crafted photo frames, dolls, jewelry and hey boyfriends: this is where you can go to buy that special girl some new set of earrings. Super cool, eh? I think it's wonderful and my sister really, really enjoyed the $26 Unicorn and has been bugging me to buy it asap. Will do, sis. Will do. The displays are impressive and highly organized. It is Pandora on the Hill in the 'burbs :) !!!! I loved it so much. From the fun and unique cards to the handmade toys. It is an eclectic blend of the weird, beautiful and unique. I found the associates super nice and friendly. It is sure to be a place you can spend a 1/2 hour and you are sure to find something you didn't even know you needed. A quick exercise in personal strength: head to Trunk Nouveau to get a gift for someone else and JUST TRY not to buy a little trinket for yourself, too. This place is a wonderfully curated little gifty wonderland. I came here just for Mother's Day cards but honestly wanted to buy ALL THE THINGS. They've got tons of local wares, vintage-feeling and modern handmade pieces, funny cards, and adorably fun knick knacks that you didn't know you needed (but you absolutely do). Trunk Nouveau's owners, Stephanie and Chris, also own the wildly cool/popular SoulHaus and Pandora on the Hill. This isn't their first rodeo, and it shows. Not only have they chosen the best-of-the-best items to stock in their shop, they could also teach all of us a killer lesson in merchandising. The feel of this shop is super cohesive, with vintage suitcases used throughout for display cases and *VIBES*. Coined on their website as a "modern day trunk show," I just can't get enough of this concept. Lastly, y'all know I'm a Stanley Marketplace super fan and Trunk Nouveau is a perfect fit for this cool kids playground. There's always a reason to buy someone something to brighten their day (or to just #treatyoself), so make sure to add this shop to your to do list next time you're hangin' in Aurora. read more

What an absolutely adorable little shop. I popped into Trunk Nouveau after finishing up an afternoon of remote work at Logan House. I was in Colorado for business and looking for a souvenir for myself and something to bring back to one of my friends. Trunk Nouveau was the ideal stop! It had a ton of unique jewelry, many from local vendors. I always try to buy something local when I'm looking for travel souvenirs. The two young women in the shop were super helpful and patient with me. I looked around and then popped out to check out the rest of Stanley Marketplace, but noted that I would be back for gifty shopping. I always feel a but guilty when I say this, as I know a lot of people leave and never come back (myself included, sometimes), but I definitely made my way back after checking out what the other stores had to offer. I picked up a delicious-smelling candle for my friend and a beautiful titanium quartz necklace for myself. The best part is that one of the young women helping me was actually the maker of the necklace! This is definitely a place to check out if you're looking for a gift with meaning or for a piece of jewelry no one else is likely to have. They have a lovely selection of trinkets, cards, and much more! read more

As I perused the aisles at the liquor store across the way my girlfriend cruised into Trunk Nouveau. The first thing to grab my eye were the socks. While not the biggest selection of socks I've seen the styles were thought out. That can be said for just about everything in this store. With the exception of childrens shoes (there were a shit ton of those. Including the trailer they used to use for the business that they had just wheeled in and made part of the scenery. I like it. One of the owners was finishing off a conversation about a customer's dog's birthday when I piped in stating that it was my cat's quinciñera. I have no cat. A fine execution of chit chat ensued and I knew my girl had found the nicest shop in the mall. The Mall which had housed Denver's first ejector seat factory is mostly filled with brew pubs and workout joints is lean on retail But Trunk was all we needed. We found a polishing cloth we needed and some awesome 3D printed earrings made by a local artist who focused on designs based on the human nervous system. So cool. Good on you Trunk Nouveau. I can unabashedly recommend that you drop in. Cool stuff and kind considerate owners. My only regret is I should have gotten the purple taco socks. read more

Reasons I love this store: you can buy a necklace here for like $22 and the person you give it to as a gift will assume you bought it for like $48; there are gifts for women and dudes and little people; the vintage suitcases they use to display their wares are cool and also photograph really well; the people who work here are nice; the card selection is varied and wonderfully snarky; supporting local small businesses that also support local artists makes you a better person. read more

I dig quirky and smart merchandise. This small but mighty store has a surprising variety of great items. I met the owners the last time I went in and they were not only friendly (as you wouldn't necessarily expect in a small boutique shop like this) but genuinely curious about my thoughts about their store. Each time I go in I find treasures. It is my go to place in Denver to find great gifts for all occasions. They have one of a kind jewelry, kids toys in the back of the store, great cards, and funny t-shirts that are cool not cheesy. I purchased a shower gift for a Mr & Mr wedding, a Mother's Day gift for my mom, and a beautiful card and unique ring for a friend's birthday! On my first visit to Stanley Marketplace I ran into this adorable store that reminded me so much of one of my go-to gift stores in my neighborhood, Pandora on the Hill. Turns out they are owned by the same owners. Both stores had similar inventory and the same amazing customer service. I think this store is larger or at least much more spacious than the Cap Hill store which is needed considering how busy the Stanley was when I visited around the holidays. I even managed to buy some gifts without buying something for myself too! Would definitely visit again if I find myself in the Stanley. read more
