It needed some work though to bring it to the next level with regards to maintenance. I stopped in and met Mike and his wife. They gave me a tour of the facility where I saw other high end classics that they were working on. I developed a real comfort level with Mike and decided to give him the job to help me finish the car. What a great decision! From the onset, Mike was nothing but honest and reputable. He told me from the beginning that if I wanted this car in a month, he was not the right man for the job. I told him to take all the time he needed, just do it right. Well after 4 months I received a call from Mike. The Stang was completed and ready to go home!!! When I got my bill for services I was surprised to no end! The bill was less than I budgeted for, and nothing was missed! Mike, thank you for such a fine job!! I haven't put 10 miles on it since you gave her back to me, but I am happy with what you did!!! On similar occasions I've been stuck for the weekend. The gas station clerk recommended Phil'a. It was close, he said, and they had worked on his car before. They had a reputation for helping people who were far from home. Connor came and towed our car. He was pleasant, affable, good-humored, indulgent, and his manner helped to put me at ease. He told me probably his boss would look at it in the morning and hopefully they could diagnose and fix it by the afternoon. That's exactly what happened. By late Saturday afternoon I paid a very fair price for the repair and towing, and drove away feeling tremendously lucky and grateful. John the mechanic even seemed a little abashed that he'd messed up his addition and nearly overcharged me by 22 cents! Friendly, honest, capable, decent, kind. Thanks very much indeed, guys.

In the end, he gave up family time (a huge sacrifice) to come in on Saturday when they are usually closed to finish up. If wasn't enough to make me smile, what he changed for this was very reasonable. This is a small shop with just two bays. It is an older building, but the equipment seemed modern enough. While there is a place to sit by the office desk, don't expect the lap of luxury. There is a small but clean bathroom in the office. If cigarette smell offends you, you will likely want to limit your time in the office anyway.

Took my car to capital tech for a leaking water pump. James did this work on his own time which…read moreinvolved changing the water pump as well as the timing chains and tensioners. About 2 weeks later the car developed an oil leak from the area of the crankshaft seal and or the timing cover as well as the front valve cover gasket, all of which he had to change. I paid James 900 dollars cash and I supplied the parts needed to do the job. Now after 2 weeks of text messages and 2 or 3 phone calls to my place of employment, James said he has not forgot about me. I have now taken the vehicle to another mechanic for the repairs. This review is not about Capital Tech itself but the mechanic. I am expecting these repairs to cost another 300 to 500 dollars on top of the almost 1600 parts and labor already spent.
