The guy working Wednesday 1/9/2019 drove my car for twenty-thirty seconds and had the diagnoses, with an I'll take your car apart but don't know how much I'm going to charge you until I do that. Estimated me 500-800 but that it would most likely be more than that. I went in after hitting a curb and wanted to check out and make sure everything was A-ok. He told me I would need a new rim and the how front tire shabang! I went for a second opinion at Mavis and they couldn't find anything wrong except my tire rods were rough and needed replaced. With an estimated cost of $250 including an alignment. Anyways, make sure you always get a second opinion. read more

Went here after my car was making squeaking sound. Was really scared that this might be a big issue since i drive a lot. So i decided to get it fixed right away. I called several stores, they either didn't pick up or told me they're booked with appointments and can't help me. Then i found this place and decided to give it a try. Mike answered the call and told me to come next morning. Upon inspecting, he immediately figured out what the problem was and even showed me how it's doing it and gave me advices on how to maintain my car in the future as well. Great service, was very fast and straightforward. Was very satisfied with how everything turned out. Changed my break-pads and rotors. He also fixed one of the calipers for the car as well. Bought my first car here in 1995, it was a terrible car. It had a manual choke, which I had no idea what for or why. And whoever did the oil change removed the old fuel filter without putting a new one in, so the car would drive for a quarter of a mile and then stop because some thing in the gas line would clog the engine, so it would stop! My car was overheating. I replaced the thermostat myself and replaced the coolant (spoiler alert, I didn't add enough coolant). I brought the car to Kaddo and the guy behind the desk came out to the parking lot, popped my hood, opened the radiator cap and told me I needed more coolant. I thought I added enough, turns out I didn't. So I then added coolant and viola, the overheating problem was gone! This guy easily could have scammed me but I really appreciate their honesty and wanted to show my appreciation with this review. Seems to be a very reputable place, and the guy was very nice. I actually made a Yelp account just to post about these guys. I woke up one morning and my car had a brake leak, so I called them up and they had it on a lift 5 minutes later. We looked over the car together and decided what to fix and what could wait. They're more than happy to teach you about cars and show you how it all works. They had the car back to me later that day for a very reasonable price. I couldn't be happier. The owner Mike is very personable and, even though he says he wants to retire soon, you can tell he loves what he does. His son Joe is a nice guy as well and will be taking over the business eventually. I will definitely be using them in the future. They also have a very funny little dog. read more

He wants to earn your business for years to come and treats you as such. My now five year old car with more than 86,000 miles on it is running like it was when I bought it brand new. His price was very reasonable, including the labor rate and he gave me a discount on an upgraded oil change. I just had a fantastic experience at Kaddos. I was trying to pass NY state inspection for my vehicle and the diagnostic codes didn't show up on my car. I called several places that sighed and said "oh its your computer system, that's gonna cost you $1200" or I can get to it in two weeks and I charge $150 to tell you what's wrong. Mike Kaddo immediately said on the phone, "a VW? Do you have an after market radio? That's the problem." He took out my radio free of charge the same day and the computer worked fine. I passed inspection. I ended up getting a proper VW radio from him after that, and he only charged me the cost of a used unit and $20 for labor. Outstanding service and I am so grateful to have found a beyond reasonable problem solver like Kaddo. Plus he is funny and down to earth, and let me watch him work and explained what he was doing so I better understood how the car worked. He is delightful and knows his stuff! read more

Every single time the issues I were having had been diagnosed correctly and fixed perfectly (I have never had to come back for the same issue twice). What's more, you receive some very useful tips on maintaining a car as old as mine (2000 & 2002 Toyota Corolla) every time you visit! I've got a 2001 Ford Explorer and I'm one of those people who drives 'em til they drop. A year ago in January, my check engine light came on and I also heard the "ticking" that usually signifies an exhaust manifold problem. I took the car to a Ford dealer and they did $900 worth of work on the car... including a new muffler and pipes, and intake manifold gaskets. I knew all of that work was needed, but they didn't fix the manifold -- even though I specifically told them about it. Forward to December. By now the ticking had grown severe and had become very annoying, but decided I'd try to find a local shop that could get it right and fix things for a decent price. My check engine light had also come on again... just in time for the required yearly inspection. I stopped to check out Kaddo's and talk with Mike first. I could tell from the get-go that he knew his stuff and I felt confident he was worth a shot. I also told him that I thought there was probably a problem with the gas EVAP system, most likely a leak in the tubing from the EVAP purge valve to the engine. I told him he could have the car for a week, as I didn't need it right away. I also expected the manifold would be a pain to replace, as it was well rusted and I figured the studs would all break off (one of the reasons I didn't want to tackle it myself). I dropped the car off on Monday and Mike called Tuesday to say the car was ready. When I asked him about the EVAP problem, he quickly pointed out a loose gas cap that needed to be replaced. I picked up a new cap and reset the "check engine" light with my code reader. Mike was absolutely right -- a bad gas cap. The check engine light has stayed off and the car is ready for inspection. By the way, Mike was able to get the manifold off without breaking a single stud. And the price was fair. I'll be back. read more
