Last month, I visited Tesla Westbury to obtain information about leasing a Model Y. The initial interaction was positive, and the representative provided general details about the lease process. However, issues arose regarding the $250 order deposit. Before placing the order, I specifically asked what would happen to the $250 deposit if my credit application were denied. I was clearly told that the deposit would be fully refunded if my credit was not approved, and that Tesla would only keep it if I were approved and then decided not to proceed. Based on this explanation, which seemed reasonable, I proceeded and paid the $250 deposit. After submitting my credit application, I received the following message in the Tesla app: "Your Model Y financing application was not accepted. Select a different payment method in the Financing task in the Tesla app." Based on this message, I reasonably assumed my application had been denied. When I checked the app, the only options available were Lease, Financing, and Cash. Since leasing and financing appeared unavailable and paying cash was not an option for me, I contacted Tesla to cancel the order and request a refund of my deposit. Tesla responded confirming that the refund would be processed. Two weeks later, I noticed that the refund had not been issued. When I contacted Tesla again, I was informed that they would not refund the deposit because my application had received a "conditional approval." This was never communicated to me. The only message I received explicitly stated that my application was "not accepted." Despite explaining this discrepancy, Tesla refused to issue the refund. This experience was frustrating and misleading. I am writing this review to warn others to take precautions before placing an order with Tesla. I strongly recommend proceeding only if you are absolutely certain your credit will be approved or if you are prepared to pay in cash. Otherwise, resolving issues in this process can be very difficult. Additionally, I would like to mention some concerns about the dealership itself. When I visited, customer parking was extremely limited. Most spots near the entrance were occupied by vehicles for sale, and other available spots were blocked with cones, leaving customers to park far away. Also, my wife noted that the restroom lacked basic supplies such as paper towels, which was surprising given the brand's reputation. Overall, this was a disappointing experience, which is why I am giving Tesla Westbury 2 stars. read more

*If you buy a new Tesla, I *highly* recommend ordering the rim & tire package. I do not have this product, so I have to pay for tires when needed. I have a Performance Model 3 and driving on New York roads are harsh on tires. I put a lot of miles on the Tesla, the low profile tires are more susceptible to bubbles as well as flat tires. I came out to my car in January and saw I had a flat tire. I went to my Tesla app and ordered the flat tire repair service. A tech came to my home and put on a temporary spare so I can be on my way. He was going to bring the tire to the Tesla dealership and change the tire. All I have to is go to the dealership and they'll put new rim on with the new tire. For this type of service, you can't beat it. I went to the dealership, they got me in quickly and back on the road. Efficient and getting you back on the road is what I experienced with this dealership. read more

they need to work on customer service etiquette. VERY unprofessional. my car was there for a week for repairs. no loaner given (they were supposed to give me one ) for repairs that weren't my fault. ( my "healthy battery" shut off on me in the middle of a main road for no reason ). that alone could've caused a major accident. I still don't know why that happened. and a tire that had no issues prior to me dropping it off was flat when I went to pick it up. and no one said anything about it. but they "test drove it" . read more

I had an extremely poor experience with the Tesla Westbury, NY location. I was told my down payment would be $7,800, but on the day of pickup it was suddenly changed to $21,500 with no warning, no explanation beyond "the bank changed the offer," and no apology--despite my credit score being well over 800. This followed a prior service visit where they lost my key, tried to return the car missing two hubcaps, and made me wait over an hour while they fixed it--again, no apology. The lack of professionalism was consistent, including sales staff presentation. I ended up buying a BMW instead and had a much better experience. BMW even offered $2,500 more for my Tesla trade-in than Tesla did. I enjoyed my Tesla for 5 1/2 years, but I will not be purchasing another one. read more

As long as you are under warranty you are covered. Not covered is another story parts and cost of labor is always going up but you will this everywhere not just Tesla. I got work done last week went well price was reasonable in and out with in 2 hrs got to see the other models and check out the cybertruck. Great service team! read more

They don't answer their phones in any of their locations. They like you to pay full price and never call you back with the answers to your questions! Elon Musk should be ashamed of himself that he allows his business to be run this way. I am paying a small fortune for a Tesla S. I had a flat. It was very hard to get in touch for help. Then they gave me an appointment for about two weeks. They wanted $121.00, to fix a flat or about $453.00, for a new tire. I fixed it elsewhere for no charge, just a $5.00 tip! I bought the car at the Americana and I had to pick it up in Brooklyn. They didn't even charge my car and left me with 25% charge. They adjust my side view mirrors. I drove home from Brooklyn to Long Island with no side view mirrors and almost got killed several times. I called but they didn't answer their phones. This review is too good for them. Been a loyal Tesla driver for almost ten years now, but beyond infuriated with the company and their sales teams. Last November, I received an offer through my cars software update system stating I can transfer my free supercharging for life benefit onto a new car if I take delivery before the end of the new year. I confer with the local sales team in Smithtown to make sure my vehicle qualifies and when they confirm, I reserve a new S. Day of the pickup, everything processed and signed and made sure the charging gets transferred. Plates are even transferred onto the new car. Ultimately, changed my mind when I realized I wouldn't get the tax credit and was already sour on trade-in amount so I back out of the deal. Not even a week later, the sales rep calls me saying Tesla is bringing back the same deal again and have til the end of March to take delivery; further asking if I want a cheaper Y. Decided that I'm still interested, don't like the Y, and the X gets the tax credit when the S doesn't and even becomes less expensive, so I reserve an X. Now they transferred me to the newly opened Westbury location as it's much closer, so went through the same process. A few weeks ago, I noticed on the app pay as you go charging is listed on the configurations. I text sales the problem that needs correcting and I'm ignored for a few days til I remind them again. They apologize and state someone will call me before the end of the day. They don't. This process is repeated where I constantly inquire, they respond someone will call that day, and never do. Since delivery day is today, they finally called me yesterday asking if I'm ready to pickup and I mention the problem. He (Hunter) states I don't qualify to make the transfer and there's nothing they can do. I mentioned how the transfer was a clear incentive from the company and was previously confirmed the other location, even got his manager (Amanda) on the line and repeated everything. I'll add they were uncaring and unhelpful. After all that, she said she would confer with Smithtown and call me tomorrow. This morning, a rep from from Smithtown does call me repeating their points that somehow I suddenly don't qualify for the transfer even though I went through the whole process before without trouble. As much as I mentioned there was nothing vague about what the company offered me and confirmed qualification, he was unhelpful as well. Even called the number on Teslas site hoping to talk to a higher office and got in touch with "central" but they were also unhelpful. It's one thing if I missed small print or something on my end, but here I'm offered clear cut incentives on a deal which is confirmed I qualify for is then completely 180'd on. Their position is I bought my current car used but nowhere is that stated in their clauses. #8 on the transfer agreement was confirmed for if I want to transfer to a vehicle on their used inventory, but I'm buying new. Furthermore, and been meaning to bring it their attention, that I started getting charged on my current car as of a few weeks ago, as the transfer processed onto the new car already. This happened on the first deal I backed out of, which sales confirmed and would credit me back then. What is extremely upsetting is that either they are don't know their own companies policies and procedures and are losing my sale, or they're intentionally pulling the bait and switch trick. If I moved forward the first sale, would they reneg on the transfer and I'd be stuck with it and there would be "nothing they can do"? Can they not just look up what it is they've offered clearly and almost followed through with before? Don't want to be one of those jaded hater types, just want them to follow through and stick by their own words. But I've really lost all faith. Guess I'll have to maintain the hell out of my current so goes the distance. read more
