I was fortunate to have Melanie as my service contact. She was very communicative and responsive by both phone and text. She kept me informed every step of the way and managed expectations appropriately. My appointment to address a clear coat drip and misaligned door went smoothly and were addressed to my satisfaction. They even covered the cost of an Uber to get me to work and then back to the service center less than 4 hours later when the work was finished. With the explosive growth in popularity of Teslas, this place is busy and seems a bit small considering the increasing volume of vehicles they now have to handle. read more

Do not come here for servicing! You will regret it! This location for some reason always give a higher quote, I don't know if each Tesla service location is independently from each other. But this is the worst location ever. I had to come back 2 times for a simple changing cabin air filter. They charge over $300 for that. They told me I have to come in drop off the car early so they can finish everything ( basically change air filter + getting car updated with software where it has to connect to Wi-Fi because I do not have good Wi-Fi connection at home). So I was send home 1st time came in around 3:15pm, was told by the receptionist to make another appointment on my app because they will not be able to finish everything for that day. So I scheduled for a week later, dropped car off 9:30 am. I was told everything should be finished by 5pm ish. I came in around 5:30 pm, I didn't got my car back until 6:30 pm, and the updates was not downloaded! And because they pushed something to my car, so I have to wait for the update to be download otherwise my GPS wouldn't work anymore!!! I came in with a clean car, now I get a dirty car with dust and finger print all over my car, and navigation wouldn't even work anymore. I sat here for over 2 hours now, the update is still not nearly finish. Please avoid this horrible location at all cost. They don't do what they promised, staff don't care about your vehicle nor you. 0 customer service. 0 professionalism. My car was working fine before I send in for a air filter change. read more

Pretty much try to explain away any problems as normal. Waiting room is standard waiting room for any common automotive repair shop maybe a little lower. Have water, and rest rooms though. 1 star to compare to Lexus service center, 2 stars compared to Toyota service center. They seem to be overwhelming busy too so I suspect there are an abundance of Tesla's having problems. I have buyers remorse... I thought Tesla was a luxury brand but it's all hype. read more

Avoid this SC! Only addressed 1 item out of 7 service requests. They were all quality issues I identified when I picked up my vehicle (i.e. panel gaps in truck, taillights, mirror assembly to pillar) BUT they only addressed 1 issue out of everything. Don't trust the technician's notes in your invoice because they either don't do it or perform terrible repair work. Picked up my vehicle on a Sunday and found dirt and smudges on my driver's side door handle as well wtf. read more

Before I bought my Tesla, I had heard that the car was great, but the service tends to be shoddy -- essentially a lot of cool toys but at the core the staff is full of newbies trying to figure things out. This place is no exception. I had to stop by this center twice (I had early Model 3 and like many others, I had some trim issues). First time, staff was confused who was serving me making me wait unnecessarily. Second time, I had to get body work and get a loaner car for two weeks, because the body shop had a backlog (probably a lot of Model 3 with defects) . No spare Tesla loaner cars, so they gave me a dirty Jeep Liberty, for which they forgot to give the right paperwork. And while they promised to reimburse me for gas and though I provided my proper paperwork (i.e. a receipt), they never paid me. After multiple reminders to them, they simply ignored me. I feel as though feel Tesla's getting away with really shameful service because loyal Tesla owners are willing to put with it. In fact, I'm likely be guilty of this, too. I probably would have given this place 1 star, if I didn't like my Tesla so much. read more

Technicians damaged our car interior during service. After argument, they proceeded to replace with a defective part. Overall subpar workmanship and customer service. Management promised to call but ghosted us instead. Please sacrifice a little distance to another servicer in another city. 2018 Tesla Model 3, 8800 miles, 1.5 year old, zero accidents or rock impacts and has been garaged due to work from home due to COVID-19. This can be verified by GPS built into Tesla vehicles. I entered the vehicle on 6/7/2020 to retrieve a pair of sunglasses and noticed a crack on the lower left portion of the front windshield. Upon further inspection from outside the vehicle I discovered the stress crack originated from the base of the front windshield glass under the left windshield wiper, traveled up the windshield and had splintered in a starburst shaped pattern. I had a similar stress crack on the rear windshield repaired by Tesla under warranty early last year. Manufacturing defects/stress cracks on the front/rear Model 3 windshields are a common occurrence. I scheduled a service appointment for 6/10/20 to have Tesla repair the windshield. There had been zero impacts to the glass and no external impact marks are present on the glass which the technician verified. The glass is completely smooth. However, I was informed by the Tesla Service Center on 6/10/2020 located at 2560 W. 237th St Torrance, CA 90505 that since they had not seen stress cracks grow and splinter in the shape of the star pattern they would not repair the glass under warranty even though the crack clearly originates at the base of the windshield and there is no external impact or mark. The base of the crack can be felt through the windshield which they also claim as evidence of impact though this is protected by the windshield wiper covering the base of the crack as shown in attached photo. Also, any crack which splits the glass can be felt from the inside and outside of the glass by definition. They then proceeded to claim that minor scratches on the front hood of the car were also evidence of some kind of impact though I was easily able to dispute these claims by buffing the scratch marks out with my finger. (early model 3's also had an issue with their paint scratching easily.) Service estimate is $1070.00 for defective glass that should be repaired by Tesla. I have been a loyal Tesla supporter, am a member of the referral program, and have ordered the cyber truck (which will now be canceled). It is ridiculous that Tesla will not honor warranty claims on known manufacturing/assembly windshield glass defects. I have previously owned Ford, BMW, Audi with zero windshield glass issues. I now cannot in good faith recommend the vehicle. read more

Be warned if you have white seats... I'm sorry I have to say something, but my seats were in perfectly clean condition... Until I picked up my car. The seats had grease all over the sides of the front seat where the plastic they use didn't cover and the back seats where they were working were also greased up. When I showed what they did, they took care of it -- but the detailer used a cleaner than you would never have used yourself... and as of recent, they no longer have a detailer on site. So if they grease up your seats, it's on you to get it cleaned. They do good work, but definitely not white glove service. You'd be better off wrapping your seats in towels or something than just expecting to get your car back with the same level of cleanliness that you dropped it off in. read more

Overall just lies and terrible service. It has been nearly 6 months that I brought my model X in and I am still being told they are waiting on a call from the engineer. I spoke to the manager Donald several times. He made promises then when I ask him about them he acts as if we have never spoke before. Mind you I have spoke to him at least 7 times in person. He then directs me to Mark, the owner. He gives me a sad sob story of how hard things have been and to please not complain because he could get fired. I fall for it. I try to make concessions on my vehicles that I should have never made and he simply never returns my calls or emails. Why even give me a card just say, "sue me and good luck in court," which is what I am in the process of doing. Unanswered calls, emails, and text messages. Never addressed my falcon doors on the X. Never addressed the faulty suspension system on my S. Fired an employee for a mistake but will not acknowledge the mistake and try to remedy the situation. I honestly didn't want to sue them I have better things to do but as a customer with an X, S, and a down payment on the roadster I should be treated better than this. Owning numerous vehicles should not matter but taking care of a frequent customer should be a given. Management Terrible! Staff great. If I could give them 0 stars based on management I would. Yelp really needs to do something about all these fake reviews. Unlikely to provide 5 star service then get so many 1 star reviews. read more

Don! I've seen lots of the negative feedback on here and truth be told, its always a 2-way part. You always gotta look at both sides of the glass and Don has definitely done that. I was hearing a squeaking noise coming from my 2019 model 3. Don reassured me that he would do his part into getting me and my newly purchased vehicle taken care of (when the dealership i got it from wouldnt) they are limited on loaner vehicles but no need to fret! Don gave me an Uber Voucher to make sure i got to where i needed to go! Dropped me vehicle off 15 mins before my appointment time. Everyone was attentive! (Thank you guys) I got a call later that afternoon and Don and the crew were able to fix the problem that ended up to be warrantable! Rushed over 20 mins before closing and STILL got the same kind, attentive service i recieved this morning. Thank you guys again so much for helping lift this burden off my shoulders! Wow wow wow. These guys are amazing. Donald and his crew saved me from a huge issue on my Tesla "I THOUGHT". I do wish it was easier to make an appt., the app can be a little frustrating. But the service team in Torrance has always been fast, courteous, very helpful and thorough. I never post reviews because I'm lazy. But I needed to write this because I'd neglected to tell Leland, the main person who helped me, how much I appreciated his kindness and his work. To make up for that missed opportunity, I'm writing this instead. Leland was stellar and went far beyond common courtesy to help me out. Imagine the most gracious, sensitive, responsive service person -- he is better than that. Then all the other employees who'd also helped me were equally kind, smart, and attentive, with a focus on clear communication. Today was a Sunday and I had a bad week, but Leland and every single person there made up for it in spades. My car's problem wasn't severe, but it was ambiguous, and it was still fixed before the end of the day. I just can't get over how easy this service appointment went today. I hope and wish everyone could have this experience. read more

Eden was my service advisor & she was the best I've ever experienced...had luxury brands such as Porsche, Mercedes, Audi, Acura, Lexus, & many more, but she is better than any of the other advisors I've dealt with from those dealerships. Embarrassing story... I was going to drop off an important check to a business next to the Tesla Service Center. But once I parked I noticed that my check was gone... it had slid down the center console door (be better than me... don't leave things on the top of the center console door)... I tried to get it out and even looked online to see what I could do. No luck for 15 - 20 minutes... Then I remembered that the building next door is a Tesla Service Center. I walked in and met Stephanie. She got in my car and it took her 2 - 3 seconds to retrieve the check... Whaaaaaaaa (mind blown)... since I was there I asked if they had time to remove a screw that was stuck on my license plate (mind you I hated this stuck screw a passion, I never got it fixed since it was a small issue that didn't hurt the vehicle and "Ain't nobody got time for that!") They said they could and when they did I was able to drive without the stupid screw on my mind. I had an amazing service from Stephanie and the Tesla Service Team. You guys made a sh!+y day into a fantastic one! Thank you and great job!! read more

I love the car and the service is great. My problem is the fact that they seem to be overwhelmed. They don't have enough loaner cars and the appointments are not readily available. I feel for a luxury car where people spend upwards of 70-150 K the service should be more accommodating. read more

The manager was very rude and yelled at me, and then tried to be nice but I did not like his energy from the start. They called me to ask permission to charge me 500$ for diagnostics only, even though I had a warranty. They already diagnosed and when they found nothing they had to charge me, but I said no don't diagnose it and I came to pick up my car, they said $200 diagnostic fee applies. I said I already refused it, her response was its too late our technician already did the repair. I was like I have warranty and you still want to charge me for diagnostics even though you performed a repair? The manager came and I spoke to him, he was mad and yelled at me "next time you have to sign a waiver before leaving your car". This is Tesla's customer service. Total BS. read more

Single worst customer service experience of my life. I was told to bring my car by and that they would have a loaner. They didn't have one when I showed up. A manager told me he would contact me to set something up to get my windows and door handle fixed. He never called. I waited on hold multiple times for over 15 minutes each time. It got even worse from here. The botttom line is nobody takes any ownership of the problem when it comes up and they don't follow through with what they tell you they are going to do. I took my car to the centinela tesla and they were incredible. Avoid Tesla Torrance like the plague. read more

This was my first visit to the Torrance SC. Was skeptical at first due to the fact I'm never a fan of a Service Center or dealer service. I came here and Jose in the parts department answered all my questions. Absolute worst service I've ever received from all the vehicles I've owned. I recently went in for an appointment to have my windshield replaced, have my rear passenger side door handle replaced, and to have my rear driver side door panel re-attached on my Model S. About 1.5 hours prior to my appointment, I received a text stating that the Torrance Service Center does not provide loaner vehicles so I had to scramble to make sure I had transportation to be able to pick up my son from daycare (they easily could have told me a week in advance when I booked the appointment). When I arrived at the appointment, I had to explain to a guy (not sure if he was the manager, a technician, some random dude) what the issues were even though I had already provided all the details in my service request. When my vehicle was finished being serviced, I got an invoice, of which included a $78 fee for trying to replicate an issue I'm having with the driver's side mirror. I had to call and have them remove this from the invoice. Then I was told I could pick up the car after hours and that they key would be locked in the trunk and I would use my app to unlock the car. When I showed up to pick my car up, I spent about a half an hour looking in the dark to try to find my key fob, except it was no where to be seen. In addition, I found that the rear passenger side door handle had not been installed correctly (sits proud of the door) and they had damage the door around the handle. In addition, the inside of the windshield was not cleaned, the passenger side door was pushed so far back that it was lifting up my son's car seat, and a window shade that we have on one of the back windows was just thrown on the floor. I would never have expected to receive this kind of service from a Tesla Service Center and the lack of attention and care when servicing the car shows that they just don't care. I strongly urge anyone thinking about having their Tesla serviced to NOT go here because not only can they not fix things properly they just don't care about taking care of you or your car. read more

Friendly warning to never ever have Nikki be your service advisor. Zero communication... ok I won't be too dramatic it's not zero it's maybe 3% communication. My car is 4 months old and I have been to service 6 times and they still can't get it right.
