All my issues were addressed and the turn around time was just as expected. The only minor issues I had were the dust and stains left in the interior of my car and having to pickup my vehicle 2 blocks away even though the app said it was in the lot. Not a big deal ... But I did have to calibrate the cameras myself as it was wasn't done. Also not a big deal since Teslas are so intuitive. Where do I begin........ I was walking in Del Amo mall one day and was shopping and ended up with a car lol. The store also has you ring a bell at the end so everyone knows you ordered it. Anyways... The car when you pick up, you basically already know its a shit show. Everything is not aligned and messed up things everywhere. Interior has plastic still stuck in places you can't even rip out cause they sewed item in the seams. I can't even explain it, it's a disaster. If you are a OCD freak like me you will basically go crazy. The first night I got home with my Model Y, I wake up in the morning and my trunk is wide open. MALFUNCTION, I called them and they said oh we will just do an update and that wont happen again... Fast forward a to present time 1 year later, if you go over 50 miles you start to hear like a slight whistling noise coming from either the vent or something. It's impossible to get anyone on the phone for help and the recording and website says REFER TO TESLA APP. So I go on the APP and they said bring the car to Tesla Torrance and it's $300 to get a diagnostic. I'm very very confused... this is a Tesla car malfunction, why would I pay? They even had the option on the app for whistling air sound lol. And when you make uturns there's a sound when you turn your steering wheel over all the way. Someone from Tesla Torrance ended up calling me but on my brothers mail man's friends groomers phone. Like how do they have the wrong number when I'm using my app. I don't even have a brother lol. Anyways bottom line is even if there is a malfunction on the car from Tesla, they will charge you. Tesla Torrance did not help either as far as calling customer service and explaining them the situation to help with the fee when it's a problem by manufacturer. Basically I still have the whistling sound and that huge sound when you make a u turn. Can't get it fixed until there's a recall cause I DO NOT want to pay that fee for a problem that was not caused by me. read more

Did a walk-in appointment today, showed up at 8:45 am, car finally started getting worked on at 11:30am for new tire replacement and they took a lunch break between 12-1pm and proceeded to finish all wheel alignment after lunch. I finally left the campus and paid for everything by 2pm! Basically had to wait 5 hours to get the car back if you do a "walk-in" appointment, there are no guarantees on when they'll get to your car. Crazy. I'm just happy I got both issues resolved today instead of having to drive back for another separate appointment which was 1 whole week away at the earliest. They were attentive and helpful in getting my Model 3 fixed. No issues with the service, but the facility itself is old and disheveled. The bathrooms had urine all over the floor, and they looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. Tesla: please keep your facilities looking new and modern, that would be on-brand. Fortunately, this Service Center is on top of things. It was my first time working with Melanie and from the other reviews that mention her, I totally agree with all of them. She has a great up beat personality and responds to your questions in a timely manner. The updates she provides was very much appreciated. I'm not looking forward to any future repairs, but if I need them done, I will definitely be coming back to the Torrance service center, because of Service Advisors like Melanie. I really appreciated her responsiveness to my concerns and the constant communication she kept. Do NOT go here if you want your car fixed. Brought my new 2024 model 3 twice to this location for a noise/rattle that's coming from the passenger side. First time they took it in, heard and said they installed an insulator. Noise came in 2 days, took it again to the same service center and they took off the B pillar and said they figured the problem but a noise could be consistent. The noise got WORSE. Awful experience. I have been to the Tesla Service Center in Santa Monica, Los Angeles and Marina Del Rey. All 3 locations were wonderful. Great service. Torrance was the complete opposite. It was so frustrating dealing with E-Money and the owner. It's a whole 2 month nightmare. Why 2 months? Because they don't respond for weeks and try to ignore you as much as they can. The original problem was changing out a battery and replacing a front seat safety harness, which requires getting into the bottom of the seat. Not a problem. Everything was replaced. However, upon retrieving the car, we noticed: 1. Deep scratches over the middle console lid (how did they not notice this and felt it was okay to give this back to a customer?) 2. Deep cuts into the wall of the driver side. It looked as though someone just used a knife to key my car... 3. The seat that they replaced the safety harness wasn't even mounted back on completely when they gave me the car. I didn't notice until I sat on the seat and saw the huge gap between the leather cushion and foundation underneath. I saw all the wires and was so confused as to why I was sitting on top of these exposed wires. I tried to get out of the car and the seat slid around. Did they reallly not notice this, as well? Okay, not good workmanship at all. Quality assurance is terrible. I tried to be understanding and they took responsibility to get everything they damaged replaced. I didn't want to make this a bigger deal because I really needed my car back to drive to work. Second time for pick-up: They could only give me the car at night. I said okay because the amount of Uber credit they gave me was definitely not going to be enough for my work commute and they are short on their loaners. The parts that they damaged were replaced and I couldn't see much to do a full inspection in the dark. Took the car and was glad I didn't have to pay for Uber since the credit they give would not cover my commute to work. A day later, we noticed more cosmetic damages on the car. They were smaller this time, but seriously, why? Why can't they just be careful so I don't have to drive back and waste my time and their time on this? I think they didn't want to pay more for damages they did and claimed I damaged it myself. It's only been a day... why would I damage my own car? They kept arguing back on the phone saying I have to pay out of pocket for it. I had a feeling this was going to happen from the first incident so I provided photographic evidence. They tried to say they replaced that part so it was my doing. We argued back and forth until I literally begged him to please talk to their tech team to confirm if that part was replaced. I told him I have evidence and I swear they didn't. He was upset but asked the tech and the tech confirmed they did not replace that part and was their accidental doing. Why can't you talk to your techs first before arguing with me for half an hour. By the way, Gordon said he was going to hang up the phone on me because he didn't want to talk about this further because we couldn't come to an agreement. If he had hung up on me, I would've had to pay out of pocket for damage that they did to my car. I didn't let him and his own team backed me up in what happened because they were the ones working on it. Console replaced. I should've checked it more carefully before "accepting the car". A day later, my spouse asked why there was a scratch on the new console. Frustrated, I take it to Tesla and asked if they can replace with a non-damaged item. They won't do it because I had already accepted it. So absolutely frustrating. E-Money (Esther?) even mocked me by adjusting her glasses when I pointed to the chipped console and she smirked and asked, "Where? I can't see it"... she is the same person who criticized the dirt on the floor mats... I told her that's normal to have dirt on the floor mats.. that's where your shoes go... that's why there are mats... I asked her why can't I just get the car in the same condition that it was before I dropped if off (I was referring to the scratches)... but she had to be petty and say that the dirt on the floor was my fault... uh.. no duh.. I'm talking about the scratches... seriously, WHY would I damage my own car... a new part and finally, why would I want to come back to your service center after everything that I have experienced. I can't just take it to another service center if the damage or faulty part was done by Torrance.. just frustrating. Never ever coming back here again. Was scheduled a week and a half through Tesla app but they called me two days later letting me know there was a spot available first thing in the morning the following day and had the parts needed to replace my rear windshield. Took my brand new Cybertruck in for an issue with the cargo divider not locking into place. They told me the issue was because the two side panels with the L-tracks were too low and they had a bulletin on how to adjust them and it was a known issue. They said they were able to adjust them same day. When I picked up the truck the divider was installed, when I got home I tried to move it to a different position and the issue is still present. I will say the turnaround time was quick but not sure what that's worth at this point. I would hope that for a customer purchasing a 130k truck "foundation series" that they would do better to check that the issue is fully resolved, not just partially. My wife and I were thrilled to get our new Tesla Model Y. Sadly, our excitement was short-lived. In just three weeks, we faced a series of defects: a tire leak, a rattling door panel, and a non-working door button. The most alarming of all was the aero shield beneath the car coming loose while we were on the highway. When we sought repairs, Tesla handed us a $650 bill for something that clearly seemed to be a manufacturing flaw. I've always held Tesla in high regard, but this experience has been a letdown. Not only am I hearing it from my wife that we didn't buy a Japanese vehicle (Toyota or Honda) because of their trusted reliability, but I'm getting made fun of at work for being an Elon Musk/Tesla fan and then having build quality issues after only 3 weeks. I'm literally being traumatized by this experience because Tesla's vehicles are not built to the standards that they supposedly set for themselves. I showed up to my scheduled appointment for service at Torrance/Los Angeles Service Center 15 minutes before my appointment time. The driveway was completely blocked, not a single person in sight. I sat in my car for 5 minutes to see if anybody would come up to me, and no one did. I walked inside to seek help, and I was NOT greeted very well. Rosa Correa did not greet me and asked me to meet her outside. After going over the FIRST issue, she implied that squeaky window noises from bad alignments are NORMAL for a $65k car. "THIS IS HOW TESLA BUILDS THEIR CARS." As a shareholder and a long time automotive enthusiast, this is the type of BS that is simply NOT ACCEPTABLE. Before we could even continue with the walk around, she insisted that she has someone else help me. Here comes Santiago Lopez & Don Weihe. I'm in the customer service line as well and if I find out that I am assisting with an unhappy customer, I would beware and tread lightly. NOPE, Not these two knuckleheads. They came out with a vengeance to prove that Tesla is not at fault. The issues I am trying to get serviced are obvious and very common across early production Model Ys. They're more interested to waste your time and avoid accountability than actually trying to PLEASE CUSTOMERS THAT SPEND ALL THE MONEY for these cars. This location is POORLY managed, have NO SENSE of urgency OR RESPECT for Customer's time and their concerns. So brought it in for paint issues and other items in the interior that need to be fix for the due bill. They promise they will take care of everything to my expectations. 7 days later, they fix my paint issues and not my interior pillar. Come to find out they mess up my right side and top of the bumper and they didn't even paint it correctly. Now they just toss me back to Buena Park service to tell them to fix it which where I picked up my car with all the issues. Well Don and Hector are nice but definitely didn't get the promise they made to make it better instead make it worse. The red is what they fix, but the purple is what they created. I drove to tesla service center in Torrance without an appointment since I was scared my model 3 would randomly die on me. Mark Miyamoto was my service manager and even though it was a busy morning with a line to get into the service area, mark was very understanding of my situation and squeezed me in. I took my 2018 Model 3 in for an appointment I made from the mobile app when my car started showing an error during charging and limiting how fast it would charge. The Tesla service team at Torrance made it easy to drop the car off, found the problem within a few hours of starting work, messaged me to keep me updated on the Tesla app. They replaced the affected part same day and I was able to pick my car up on the way home. Tesla waived all cost associated with the repair. The issue was completely fixed, process was smooth and the car now charges at maximum speed with no errors, I love that the service team kept me updated with direct messages through the mobile app every step of the way. read more

My review is about checkin and wait times not about quality of work. I had appointment first in the morning. I arrived 10 min early. I was driving from far away atleast 160 miles and had informed the service center about it and requesting a loaner few days in advance. After being the first car to check in. There was no loaner and had to wait enterprise rental car for an hour to be picked up. I had sent multiple messages about the car issue and requesting loaner. There was no proactive approach or arrange for a loaner or a quick rental inspite of having all information. Beforehand. Probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Damages every time I take my car in. My advice is to always take photos and videos of your car prior to giving your car to them or they won't take responsibility for any damages and you'll have to pay for their shortcomings. The only reason I was able to get those damages fixed was because of the videos and photos I took. Don't let them gaslight you. The girl with the glasses was incredibly rude. She will talk to you in the most condescending and patronizing manner. One of their employees called me to schedule an appointment to get the damages fixed. Invoice was sent with no charge because they took responsibility for their damages. Thankful for their honesty and transparency. We set an appointment for me to drop off my car. All set and just waiting for my appointment date. This other sales rep, Esther or E-Money, calls me weeks after, questions me as to why the invoice was approved and yells at me for not remembering the name of the other representative who approved of the invoice. Her demeaning attitude was shocking. I was at work and didn't not have time for her disrespectful tone. We kept going in circles so I suggested to her that she should check their computer system to see who called or sent the invoice. I think that ticked her off. She yells at me after that comment and felt the need to "teach me (the customer) a life lesson" to always remember every person's name who calls me from their office... not sure why it's my responsibility to remember every name of every person I talked to from their service center. She decided to reject my scheduled appointment and it was a complete nightmare talking to her after that. Not sure how someone like her could get hired in customer service. read more

It was then completed on time. The same rep gave me a summary of the work and recommended other work (tires), with zero pressure to make a sale on it. Waiting area lounge was clean and quiet. A+ service that is expected with a luxury car. I had a software issue pop up on my way to the office. Called Tesla Service and they sent me here. I was attended to within a few minutes, even though they were very busy, and they diagnosed it as a known bug. They said I could leave and that they would send me a software update. Two hours later, from my office, the software update arrived and fixed the issue completely. I then received a text from the service person confirming that all was well. I like to car that is only because it is EV and Tesla SW seems to be good so far. As far as build quality - pretty horrible. If you look at it more, you will see more problems so dont even look at it. Tesla Service Center (Torrance): C grade. Not good. First, if you just spend a lot of money and have some cosmetic (gap and paint issue), consider if you think they can actually fix it or they can make it worse. They will do a good job of fixing everything regardless. For example, if you have a gap somewhere, there will shift it and now you will have a slightly smaller gap EVERYWHERE. simple physic. Would be nice to get their assessment and told me if they cannot make it better. No more loaner so plan to live with Uber voucher while your car is in service (pay Uber tip out of your pocket). They did charge up my car but wish they wash my car as well because my car end up being dirtier, hand prints all over the place and on the window mirrors. Overall, Tesla experience has been JUST OK. balancing good with the bad. read more

I think I found my preferred Tesla service center. I made an appointment due to a creaking/popping noise whenever I turned the steering wheel. I was greeted by Mark who was knowledgeable, professional and honest throughout the entire process.
