Good location. Right near restaurants, restrooms, along with being a fast charging station.

This Tesla station is super small compared to others, with only six stalls with shade. This location is the last big stop before the Grapevine, by the food places and always super hot during the summer so why so little super chargers? Many places to eat around here. Close by and walking distance is Starbucks, Arby's, McDonald's, Chipotle, In-n-out, IHOP, Wendy's and Panda Express. [28R,2023]

Convenient charging at Tejon Ranch. This is one of two locations at this exit. There are several different amenities nearby. This location is not by the outlets. Convenient on off freeway.

FREE charging for Thanksgiving!
Richard R.

Stopped during Thanksgiving weekend and was thanked by Tesla with FREE supercharging from 7pm - 10am! I arrived around 7:30pm and it was very busy but didn't have to wait. There's very clean restrooms in the outlet mall and plenty of fast food joints to grab a bite to eat while you charge. Good thing is that it looks like they are adding about 20 more charging stalls soon, too. Great spot to charge up, stretch out and get a few steps in.

I think they moved the Supercharger from the other side of the freeway to this new location. There are a nice number of supercharger stations right in the mall. There are restaurants nearby and a couple in the mall where you can also find some restrooms. Pretty nice.

24 chargers, all full (Saturday afternoon).

This Supercharger station is off the Tejon Ranch exit at the bottom of the Grapevine. The best part is that this station is surrounded by lots of restaurants. The only downside is there aren't enough chargers, IMO. There are 24 stations, which is more than most, but this rest stop is super busy. It is a Saturday, so it is naturally busy today, but I still feel like it could use more units. The one I used a few hours north had a whopping 56 chargers!

23 high output chargers at Wheeler Ridge - Yay!

We were headed to Bakersfield and needed a little pick-me-up for our little blue rocket. We pulled into the supercharger at Wheeler Ridge. Here we found 23 charging stations with an impressive output of 450 mi/hr and 126 kW. A short yet satisfying drink from this electron river and we were back on the road with our destination a manageable distance away. We were not hungry but it is also good to know that there are many locations here for a quick meal the next time we are in the area.

PERFECT SPOT RIGHT BEFORE THE GRAPEVINE WHEN CHARGING DURING THE SUMMER SEASONS This is one of the few stations I've been to where (half of) the bays are covered by a solar panels to block out direct sunlight. Extremely convenient! Within walking distance, there is a McDonalds, Panda Express, In-N-Out, Chipotle, and Yogurtland. There's also a Mobil gas station steps away that, and I kid you not, have one of the cleanest and most well-kept gas station public restrooms I've ever seen in my life. I was there the other week and holiday decor was put up all around the mirrors and the stalls. WTF. On the other side of the freeway there's an outlet of even more restaurants that you and/or your family can visit once you're done juicing up. Overall, a great place to charge right before the grapevine, which I ALWAYS find myself doing to avoid running out of juice while driving over the mountain. ;D Safe travels, everyone!

i didn't want my car to smell like Panda Express and there isn't much outdoor seating

See all

Tesla really should consider adding stalls to this location. A ton of people need to charge before the grapevine.

This Tesla Supercharger location looks less like "under construction" and more like a forgotten…read moreoutpost in a post-apocalyptic road trip movie. Let's start with the setting. The parking lot is filthy--debris everywhere, zero sense of order, and an overall vibe that says "abandoned rest stop after the rapture." The portable restrooms are overflowing in a way that should require a hazmat suit and a permission slip. Knock knock... guess who? Yes, it's the smell. And it is not subtle. Now for the chargers themselves. A generous portion of them are non-functioning, which is extra fun when you've already committed to stopping here. Nothing quite like rolling in on low charge and playing musical stalls while wondering if you're about to become part of the landscape. That said--and this is the only reason this place escapes a full scorched-earth zero--the chargers that do work are lightning fast. When electrons finally flow, they absolutely hustle. Credit where it's due: the tech is solid, even if everything around it looks like it's circling the drain. Bottom line: this Supercharger has all the charm of a third-world construction zone with the reliability to match. Fix the broken stalls, clean the lot, and for the love of all things silicon, deal with the bathrooms. Until then, this is less "road trip recharge" and more "survival checkpoint." Until next time...
