We thought we would travel a mile or so down the road to see if the surrounding facilities would be any better. This Supercharger is in the parking lot of a Statler Brothers supermarket. There are 3 separate areas with charging stalls - so lots to choose from. When we got there, we were the only ones using the stalls (there were at least 20 stalls to choose from). Short walk across the parking lot to use the facilities at the market and buy some refreshments. If you need to charge while in Mojave, this is a reasonable option.

A nice Stater Bros (same parking lot) has two bathrooms (get the code from somebody at the adjacent meat counter). Anthony's looks permanently closed (solves that controversy). Passed on the other Mojave supercharger station (looked like I'd have to buy a taco to use the bathroom).

The name sounds more exciting than the town itself. Mojave is no longer in its "Heyday" when Borax was brought by mules to the railroads here. Now Mojave is just a town full of run down restaurants, gas stations and stores in the middle of hot AF desert. This Mojave Tesla Supercharger has 6 charging slots--and it appears more are in their way (6 more, perhaps). One is either for semi trucks or is a two in one charger. There is a grocery store (Stater Bros), a Mexican Restaurant (Anthony's), and S&Y Furniture Store. If you're willing to walk, there is also Thai (Mojave Thai) or burgers (Primo Burgers). Sadly, it says under Tesla amenities that there is WiFi, yet none exists--hence loss of one star. Also, I wish there were public restrooms and garbage cans. Oh well, still beats other Supercharger location

There's 7 cars waiting in front of us, I heard one waited for 1.5 hrs or more? Imagine if you were out of gas and went to the only gas station available only to have to wait 1.5-2hrs. Unacceptable. Out of 4 persons, two had to go to the bathroom and someone was hungry. There was no good bathroom options, we walked all the way to the grocery store and to the back, there was no good food options either. One Mexican restaurant which no one was in the mood for. We moved on asap and will go to another supercharger.

This location itself is a bit rundown with poor lightning and a parking lot that could use some work. When there is a lot of people around it isn't so bad but depending on the time of day it can be pretty sketchy around. There are a few areas to eat and drink but again lighting and walking path are not the best. If you can, wait for Barstow super chargers which had a lot more chargers (V4!) , better lighting, and a lot more food options.

The IPA selection is excellent, the atmosphere is welcoming, and it's the perfect place to relax and stretch your legs before getting back on the road. The facilities are exceptionally clean, including the restrooms, which is something road travelers really appreciate. Everything about the experience feels first class--from the service to the overall cleanliness and attention to detail. Having great food options nearby is an added bonus, but we'd stop here even without them. If you're traveling between Las Vegas and Northern California, this is absolutely worth making part of your regular route. We'll definitely continue stopping here on future trips.
