(They are the green ones) I am not sure if these are free or not but the ones in the handicapped spots might have been. Check it out for yourself. This is one of the newer SUpercharger Stations and is located right off the 110 Freeway. It has about 20 Superchargers and is across the street from the Artcenter and various eateries. Fast charge is about half an hour for 80 percent charge and has a roaming security guard to help protect against vandalism. I am just getting used to Supercharging, so it was a learning experience, but, it was simple and no service or help was necessary. read more

Easiest to enter if you are coming from Fair Oaks Ave. If you're coming from Arroyo you have to do an illegal u-turn across the train tracks for the gold line. Guess what people do anyway? Right. Other than that, has about 20 stalls. Absolutely nothing around to visit or walk to. It feels like a rest stop on a highway in the middle of nowhere. No charge to get in which is nice. read more

Every single visit. 1) don't park in handicapped charging spots, especially when there's 20 open Tesla chargers available. 2) if non-Tesla's are lined up to charge, don't get in line in your Tesla. You're not wanted. You're not invited. 3) don't smoke blunts from your car while you charge. 4) don't smoke cigarettes from your car while you charge 5) don't piss along the back wall while you charge You're all a nuisance. read more

Thank goodness there is a new 20 stall Supercharger in Pasadena. This adds to the capacity at the Green Street location and will now more easily accommodate the increasing number of Teslas in the area, as well as those passing through. These chargers, just north of the Pasadena Water and Power station, had us on our way quickly with a peak of 97 kW and 341 mi/hr. Please make sure you approach this set of chargers traveling east on Glenarm approaching the Arroyo Parkway intersection as the only accessible entrance is from the right lane on this section of Glenarm which has a raised median in the center of the street. read more

Tesla opened up a second bank of superchargers in Pasadena recently and these are level 3 superchargers, capable of up to 250kW of speed for those vehicles that can handle that speed. It's an odd location in that it's right at the onramp to the 110 freeway, so during rush hours it's kind of a cluster to access. However, during off hours this place is never full. I understand location is often at a premium in cities and am grateful that Pasadena continues to add electric car charging infrastructure as more people adopt the EV lifestyle. As someone mentioned in their review, there are DC fast chargers at this location as well, offering both the CCS standard and ChaDAMO for the Nissan Leaf owners, which is great. Overall, a good place to charge with the one minor exception that the city needs to empty the trash cans more often. read more

Good new supercharger in the area, it is in an open outdoor parking lot next to a few other power up pasadena chargers. There are 20 fast 250kW chargers, so no complaints there. Only lose a star since not really near any stores or restaurants, you'd have to walk a few blocks to get to anything, so you'd mostly just have to entertain yourself in the car, which is not a problem but still less options on how to spend your time while charging. read more

Pasadena has a done a great job installing EV Chargers. This is the 2nd large installation in the City. They are conveniently located (right at the Arroyo entrance of 110 FWY). Lots of chargers available. The entrance is a bit tricky if you are traveling westbound on Glenarm you have to get to the next signal (Fair Oaks) and make a UTurn. Best is come eastbound on Glenarm to enter. read more

Awful location. If you have a Tesla then this place is great. Any other EV .... GOOD LUCK!! The city only had Tesla drivers in mind as if Tesla is the only EV on the road. (4) level 3 for every other make and they NEVER WORK. A ton of handicap spots facing the 110 and no one thought to utilize that space with equal amounts of level 3 charging stalls? They are free right now but what's the point of this station being for "everyone" if only the Tesla chargers work? Get it together Pasadena. This is a huge let down. Fix the level 3s before you start charging the public. read more
