First time charging at this location and it was a good experience. They have tons of chargers, so you are able to space out pretty well, atleast during our visit. We checked out the vending machine room and walked right out. It wasn't anything we needed, and I'm not fond of not knowing prices upfront. The women's bathroom seemed clean, but it was hot when I went in. I noticed lots of people not knowing how to get in without the code, but I guess that's a learning curve for most people. They had some cute little benches to hang out on, but not something we would use. I would rather sit in my a/c in the car than sit in direct sunlight. read more

An entire row of chargers at the front are now functioning, compared to when we were here a year(or more) ago. Well-lit and clean area with garbage cans. Also there were picnic tables that are not available at other charging stations. I wish there was a "standard." Gas station and Harris Ranch are walking distance too where you can buy food. They are expensive restaurant style food. But our kids wanted fast food so we bought food from the other side of the exit, before parking to charge. Note: Tesla etiquette: do not park beside a charging car, especially when you have plenty of choice to separate, go to the next set of number. Tesla Charging and BBQ?! It's a win win for me. There's 80 chargers at this site and 18 nearer to the restaurant/hotel if this site EVER gets full. A big plus is the self-service squeegee station for cleaning bug guts on your windshield. There are clean, well kept bathrooms at Harris Ranch Express BBQ as well as at the main restaurant which is only a quick 3min walk. A shuttle service is offered if you need one to get to the hotel or restaurant although I've never seen anyone call for it. read more

There are plenty of supercharger stalls available. All the stalls are shaded. We received a notice on the Tesla dash upon arriving that certain stalls were broken. We stopped here last Tuesday. They improved it to be sure. It's now paved & clean. Covered as well. My only nit is that the windshield wiper buckets are dry. And no running water I could find. I'd have liked to wipe away the bugs. We also managed to get a meal in at the Harris restaurant nearby. Usually it's a long wait, but took only 15 minutes. Great meal although a bit of a splurge. I won't avoid this place anymore. Again, they invested. Befits the Tesla brand. I still prefer to recharge at Kettleman City, more variety, but this one also suffices. read more

The restroom is a short 3 minute walk to a store that sells Harris Beef BBQ and other things like ribs, chicken, pulled pork and sandos. There's a nice tv outside of the restroom that plays sports and has a nice picnic bench. Because this is near the largest cow ranch in California, there is a pretty nasty smell like fertilizer smell. But wind direction permitting, the air isn't too bad on cooler days. All in all it's a fair alternative to Kettleman's charging station as long as you arrive prior to dark. If you're able to use Tesla charging, but not a true Tesla vehicle, the Tesla EV charging doesn't even appear to give you the option to charge at this location in front of the resort. However, there's very ample Tesla charging about a football field away so don't be too mad. read more

There are 2 sections of superchargers: one at the Harris Ranch restaurant and the other is near the Harris Ranch BBQ/gas station side. Found the BBQ side chargers are much faster and there are more stations to charge. Bathrooms are next to the outside dining tables. A tidy C-store is connected to the BBQ counter. The BBQ aroma is yummy! I really liked the Harris Ranch restaurant's Portobello Burger so the slightly slower superchargers didn't bother me a bit. What's up: Making our way up north on our road trip! This supercharger is located at Harris Ranch, right off the 5 FWY and known for their high quality moos (beef). Parking: There is a total of 18 charging stalls: 4 head-in spots and 14 rear-in spots. We got there around noon and half the stalls were still available. Environment: The supercharger is right next to the Harris Ranch Inn and Restaurant. So if you need to hit the restrooms or want to grab some nice juicy steaks/burgers, this is the place. Harris Ranch is also more or less the midway point between Los Angeles and San Francisco and can be a bit touristy. Picnic tables are available near the chargers if you want to get out and just relax under the shade; there are also a couple of trash cans nearby. A couple Electrify America charging stations are also available not too far from the Tesla Chargers. Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. The chargers were easy to find and conveniently located. Not a good stopping point if you want to charge your car while eating at Harris ranch restaurant with a baby that needs a stroller. Harris ranch doesn't allow babies in strollers into the restaurant due to safety issues. I was searching for biggest Tesla Superchargers in California then this place showed up on Google. I found out it is right next to Harris Ranch Resort & Prime Steakhouse. I booked a room at Harris Ranch Resort & make a Prime Steakhouse reservation on Saturday 08/03/2024. This place is great for weekend getaway from the Bay Area. It's 103 degrees when I was there. There are 60 stalls at this Tesla Superchargers and there are 10 more Superchargers at Harris Ranch Resort parking lot by Prime Steakhouse. One minus star because some of the stalls are out of order. There's a big cow farm about 6 miles away that's where the cow smells coming from. The smells are strong at nighttime. read more

Fabulous place to charge. There are two charging sites that are very close to each other. As you turn onto the access road, the charging on the left is in the parking lot of the main building/restaurant. The charging on the right has many more charging ports and is just a few short steps away from the Express BBQ and gas station. Warning: The Express BBQ emits heavenly aromas of smoking meats and will make you hungry! :) Both sides are very close to each other and easily accessed on foot. We've stopped here many times and have enjoyed the restaurant, the Express BBQ, the beautiful landscaping and the immaculate restrooms in the main building. Highly recommend! read more

One of the most convenient charging stations along the 5. They're plenty of food options with it being located at Harris Ranch. They have restrooms located inside. If your hungry I recommend trying the BBQ stop located at the gas station across the street. I've charged a handful of times at this location and have always found a spot. This is the worst smelling supercharger there is. I started smelling methane gas 5 miles from stopping and knew then I made a huge mistake not charging sooner. I'm in absolute shock people are lined up here to eat steak when it reeks of cow manure. I can't even step outside of my car without a face covering. I'm sure the 100 degree weather isn't helping. There were only 2 stalls available when we stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. The Harris Ranch resort building looks nice, and the bathrooms were clean. It definitely has a touristy feel to it, but I wonder why people would come here of all places for a vacation. Oh well.
