Great access to and from I-40, but the eight chargers are slow at 150 kW. It's located in the SW…read morecorner of the Holiday Inn front's parking lot. The front door of the hotel faces west, but its official access is north of the building (on the Old Hwy 66, an E/W street a block north of the I-40 frontage road). Restrooms at the Holiday Inn are available 24 hrs. Go in the front doors, make an immediate right and then look for the hallway on your left. There's no grass for walking dogs except on a few parking lot islands, and nowhere for children. This location experiences a lot of wind and has no trees shading it. To be fair, a really ugly chain link fence was recently removed so it looks a lot better than in years past. I always find trash because even if the hotel put a trash can out in the parking lot, its contents would get blown out and away. Please deposit your trash at the trash receptacles outside the hotel front doors. Given the longer charge time required by the 150 kW chargers Tesla drivers have time to be courteous and police their own trash. Try to hang the charge cable handles back on their rests securely. It's possible that the wind blows them off because I found 2 out of 8 on the ground on my recent visit. Be aware that you could easily run over and damage the very charge cable handle that you need (or cause someone else to) by not hanging it up properly. In a perfect world, all Tesla Superchargers would have solar panel canopies, and landscaping with a wind break, a dog run, and a tiny swing set/climbing form for toddlers. There's really nothing to eat within walking distance here before you are forced to return to unplug. I like to eat at Saltgrass after I charge or walk to Slim Chickens to get takeout while charging. Here follows specific and excruciatingly detailed tips for driving to and from this particular charger: If you are traveling WB on I-40, you will be directed towards the frontage road from exit 64. It's better to turn off your Navigation and start looking for the Slim Chickens franchise. Turn right before you pass it and approach the Superchargers by way of the N/S lane between Slim Chickens and the Kabuki Japanese restaurant. If you follow the Navigation directions, you'll be directed on a lengthy clockwise path towards the front street entrance of the Holiday Inn on Old Hwy 66. If you're traveling EB on I-40, follow the Navigation directions. You'll be directed along the above-mentioned clockwise path, but it's a better approach for you. When departing, don't use the Navigation. Instead, go south on the lane (described above) south of the Superchargers and towards the I-40 frontage road. All traffic is forced to turn WB. Those traveling WB: continue across the Soncy Road intersection towards the I-40 WB on-ramp. Those traveling EB: get in the leftmost lane, make a U-turn under the Soncy Road overpass "loop around" to the EB frontage road towards the EB on-ramp.
