Tesla Autopilot defect.

The service department at this location does not have adequate training. My Tesla Y has a problem in that it randomly decides to stop in the middle of the highway for no apparent reason - while driving on Auto Pilot. It typically happens on a wide-open stretch with no other cars in sight. I have not been rear-ended yet, but I've had a couple close calls. I've used the bug reporting process to "mark" the incident and reported it to Tesla. There is currently an NTSB investigation due the number of crashes caused by Tesla's faulty AutoPilot software. I brought my car to the Eden Prairie Service Center today. They said they needed to do a test drive. After I told them, again, what I was experiencing, the tech told me it was "normal" and sent me home, not even a test drive. Perhaps the NTSB will have better luck....

I just bought a gorgeous Audi A4 3.0 Quattro convertible for a great price at U Car Connect and had…read morea fantastic experience! After nearly a decade working with big dealerships who couldn't care less about making individual customers happy, it was incredibly refreshing. Tom, Erik and Dillon were knowledgeable, honest, straightforward, and promised to take care of me for the life of my new vehicle. They even accepted my beloved Volkswagen convertible as a trade-in for the value I wanted and promised to try to find her a new home. Gotta be honest, I emailed them at the beginning and didn't get a response. Believe it or not, they DO have better things to do than answer emails! It's a three-man operation working their butts off to help their customers, so I understand why they don't return your email within an hour like big dealerships. If you see a car on their website that you want, I would suggest making the trek to meet the guys for yourself (rather than being Minnesota-passive-aggressive behind a computer screen). They are the kind of people who would make it up to you if you had trouble getting in touch. You will not be disappointed!

The sales experience was great no issues. I'm a mechanic by…read moretrade and did inspct the car top to bottom with the exception of scanning the ECU. (didn't bring my laptop) Everything checked out, drove ok so I bought the vehicle. The very next day the check engine light came on and started leaking coolant and oil both from the tstat and oil cooler and the transmission would not shift . Found who ever did their servicing did a good job covering their tracks , except permanent non-active codes were stored and had been stored for 500 ish miles, meaning they were aware of the issues and attempted to hide the problem. I called the dealer the very next day asking for copies of what their shop did and they refused and worse yet stopped communicating with me. I didn't ask for the dealer to pay for anything just send me documentation. Now have a basket case. their warranty is a joke, doesn't cover the stat or cooler which are bolted to the engine. the transmission issue requires a reflash of the ecu and a service also not covered by their warranty. The transmission work alone is going to cost over $1000 out of pocket because its dealer specific work. The prep and detail was sub par and Dan the salesman said "they only get 20 minutes to clean and detail lower priced cars to keep competitive". Both the engine and Ac filters were plugged with debris, pulled back the carpet it looked like someone dumped grass clippings under the carpet. All said and done I'll be $1400 into repairing the car. So word of advice, stay away from this used car lot and spend your money elsewhere. You'll thank me later.
