After you get down the stairs or take the conveyer belt you are confronted by a large super market. Morrison's is like a Vons or a Ralph's (grocery stores in the U.S.A). Morrison's is a big super market with a variety of groceries at reasonable prices. The cashier was kind. Overall my experience at Morrison's was great. Everything was fairly priced and easy to find.

They have people walking around the store, it was kinda awkward when one of the workers was asking me if i was okay... heh

Yes, that is a word, ok? (It's not). Always worth popping in after 9pm to see if they've got any almond croissants reduced to 20p. There is also a large section devoted to cake-baking - presumably to cater for the Walpole Park/Carluccios yummymummy brigade - so if you need coloured icing at 10.45pm on a tuesday in South Ealing, you're in luck.

This has become my corner shop, I pop in here when I need a pint of milk. The shop was refurbished…read morerecently and it's bright and shiny inside, but there's a strange smell in one corner as though someone's left their dirty underwear on a radiator. Not pleasant. It's been like that for months, I'm amazed it hasn't been sorted out. They stock food, wine and household cleaning products. Most of the products are a few pence more expensive that the Tesco Metro down the road, but that's the price of convenience. The staff just get on with it, and when the queue starts growing they quickly open more tills.

Its still the best supermarket around though in terms of range. The car park is large but does get very busy especially during weekends, also on more than one occasion I have seen unhappy customers who's cars have been damaged in the car park but the CCTV hasn't been working. The national Waitrose scheme of a free newspaper with 5 pounds shopping or above now requires 10 shopping or above. The free coffee offer now requires one to carry and wash up their own cup. Also the My Waitrose cardholders pick your own discount scheme has ceased so offers are less relevant now. Overall though remains my favorite supermarket to shop in.

When you go, you can pick up some staples and see what's there to inspire you to cook things you haven't tried before. You will also discover a little known fact: the couple who own the store will prepare you a fresh, lovely meal right there on the spot, which you can either take away or enjoy right there at one of the tables by the window. I went straight for the veggie bibimbap, which was topped with a perfectly fried egg, sesame seeds, and a Korean chili sauce to stir in. You can also choose a side item or two from the refrigerated section, which they are happy to heat up for you if you like (think dumplings, kimchi, etc.). I felt like family, dining from beautiful crockery with my chopsticks and chatting with the owner, who made me feel right at home. A perfect break from cooking. Neighborhood Gem! It's my little korner of Korea in Ealing. They have the basics for a korean…read morekitchen as well as a nice side dish bar, bahn chan selection that would rival any full size supermarket! I think the japanese call it Na Moo Ru. (forgive the bad romanji) They also have a little eating area where you can enjoy your uber cheap 5 Pound Bibimbap. The couple that run this shop are warm, and generous with their portions. Grateful.
