I was in desperate need of an oil change, but was putting off going to my usual place at Brentwood…read moreand Clayton because it is now a huge pain in the ass to get out of. Not to mention that the price is always different, but falls somewhere around $40-50 depending if they pull the "crazy foreign car" card and upcharge for my apparent lack of patriotism. I have a Jetta. Not exactly the most obscure vehicle in the western hemisphere, but mysteriously somehow more expensive to service than say, a nice American Ford. Driving home today, I notice a sign on Auto Plaza Ford for a $9.95 oil change if the Cardinals score more than 6 runs the day before. A quick run through the memory bank and sure enough, the Cards pulled it off yesterday. As I pull my little foreign car into the Ford lot, I feel like a cat walking into a dog convention. Would my kind even be welcome here? I go inside, step up to the counter and sheepishly say that I would like the oil change special, but that (gulp) I drive a Jetta. Is that okay? The service tech did not even bat an eye. I kept waiting for the catch, but there wasn't one. They didn't even wave my dirty air filter in my face or try to convince me that unless I bought new $50 windshield wipers, I didn't have a chance at surviving the impending winter. Just changed the oil and presented me with a bill for $10.00. The only reason for 4 stars is because it took a pretty long time. Long enough for me to finish the New York Times crossword puzzle and read a Time magazine from 2008 (it's like being able to predict the future! My money's on Obama!). But the waiting room was comfy, they have a Starbucks coffee machine and People magazines in Spanish. Plus, I mean, they're a *Ford* dealer who treated a German car like their own. If that's not a lesson in tolerance, I don't know what is.

He made the process enjoyable and reminded us of why we shop ford. It's the customer service and the quality of people that work here. Fantastic human and fantastic dealership. Not pushy, not judgy, just good people selling cars. Brad went above and beyond to make sure we could afford what we wanted and to make sure we were taken care of warranty-wise
