I would never visit this office. Terrible management. They asked my son to call them before his visit and let them know what his insurance was. He did not and that is on him. However, he is a young adult with not a lot of experience in these things. He went to his appointment, and presented his insurance. They did not tell him it was one they didn't accept. Delta Dental is a very reputable dental insurance and surprised it isn't accepted at their practice.
They call my son into the back office after he has been seen and tell him he needs to pay $320 for his visit. My son was not prepared for that. My son is in school, works full time, and lives on his own. He pays his own way for all of his expenses. I was furious when I heard this. The manager treated him poorly, very sarcastic and rude. I paid for the visit because I felt so bad for him.
They didn't even file the claim for two weeks and on top of it they sent the payment directly to their office. I had to call and have them send me a check. Horrible way to run a business.
I worked for doctors for over 30 years. I NEVER would have allowed a patient to be seen without letting them know their financial responsibility BEFORE THEIR VISIT.
We have since found another dentist who actually ares about their patients and not the money. If you want a dental office that looks like a million bucks, but treats patients like crap, go see them. But, I for one am tired of businesses like Dr. Carano's.
On top of everything, they billed for fluoride that he didn't get or want!!! read more
