After being loyal customers for years, tonight's experience was by far the most disappointing we've ever had at this restaurant. I ordered the Signature Cut Special while my husband ordered from the regular menu. When the bill arrived, I politely pointed out that I had been charged incorrectly. Instead of simply checking the order, our server, Talis, told me that other meat carvers had supposedly seen me eating the regular menu item and implied that I was being dishonest. I was shocked. Being publicly accused of lying over a dinner order is completely unacceptable. I repeatedly explained that I had ordered the Signature Cut Special, yet the argument continued until I firmly stood my ground. Only then did he back off. We brought the situation to management's attention. While Manager Paulo has always been professional, courteous, and customer-focused, our interaction with Manager Michael left much to be desired. Rather than immediately addressing the seriousness of a customer being falsely accused, the situation was handled in a way that felt dismissive and unprofessional. The issue was never about the money. It was about respect. Long-time customers should not be treated as though they are trying to deceive staff over a menu item. What should have been an enjoyable evening turned into an embarrassing and frustrating experience. Sadly, this was one of the worst customer service experiences we've had here, and it has made us seriously reconsider this establishment. read more

I haven't been here for quite a while so my friend and I came here for lunch today. They offer $19.95 for AYCE Monday through Friday. The restaurant itself is beautiful, loved the esthetics. The service was exceptional! My glass was always filled and I appreciated the attention. I wasn't too fond of the hot/cold salad bar. While the selection was large, the quality wasn't there. For instance, the meat in the fried rice was overcooked. The pork belly tasted as if it was sitting there for a while. Shrimp salad had good flavor but too many shells in the salad. Roasted garlic was still crunchy/not cooked through. Few of the signs were mislabeled. The bacon covered jalapeño poppers were labeled as brown sugar bacon. That completely took me by surprise because it was quite HOT! In conclusion, I was expecting the same level of attentiveness for the food selections as I received with the service. read more

On my most recent visit, there was some disappointments. They removed one of their good jams on their bar, They had a nice octopus mussel salad. When it ran low they did not replace it. I found that the meats were not seasoned at all, compared to previous visits. We always go here for our special events. On a positive note, the service was spot on. Like some of our favourite restaurants, we are finding cut backs on food, no happy about that. We probably wont take any chances and go back. Very sad. read more

Visited Terra Gaucha for the first time yesterday and the food was amazing! We were off to a slow start because I was the only one at the table that ordered the chicken/seafood option and only red meats were coming to the table, but once I informed the server he got me exactly what I wanted! The grilled pineapple was such a nice touch I really enjoyed this and it was the first time having it at a Brazilian steakhouse. My favorite protein was the bacon wrapped chicken and sausage! The salad bar was a beautiful display and lots of tasty options there too! I let them know it was my birthday and not only did they give me free desert but they also took the time to provide me a $25 gift card to come back! So, I think the main word to describe... Overrated. I've heard tons of positive reviews and praise for this restaurant. I'll get my good points out first... 1. It's a very lovely and nice looking restaurant. 2. The staff is superb. Tons of servers bringing food, water, appetizers. Everyone was friendly. 3. The food is good. The problem... The food is only just good. It's not great. Dinner price is $70. Of all the meats served only one meat my wife and I actually liked -- It was the capped sirloin. It is the house specialty... So, I guess they know it's the good one too. But, the filet was bad. The New York strip was bad. The pork was dry and horrible. The shrimp was overcooked. The lamb sirloin was OK. Another lamb dish was way too dry. The big buffet table that's supposed to tempt you to eat it as it is less expensive than the meats served... I can't really give you my opinion on as I mostly skipped it besides the lobster bisque. The lobster bisque is actually pretty good. So the take-home point: for almost $200 after tip you can go to just about any other fancy steak restaurant in town and get much better steak. Choose that option. read more

Been to a few brazilian spots but this one takes the cake by far! They treat you with royalty cutting the food up right in front of you! The salad bar is excellent. Oh and they cut the cooked pineapple fresh in front of you so good! We had a big bday party here and they took care of us all and gave us 2 waiters and waitresses. Was a great time. Closer to 3.5 stars ...I've been to several Brazilian steakhouses, and while Terra Gaucha a couple times . The last visit was a great dining experience, my visit tonight was disappointing. The selection of meats was impressive , they offered the usual favorites like picanha, ribeye, filet, lamb, pork ribs, bacon-wrapped chicken, sausage, lamb chops, shrimp, salmon, baked pineapple and many more . Unfortunately, nearly every cut tonight was overcooked and very tough. Most of the meat was dry and chewy to the point that my jaw actually hurts from trying to chew through it. For a place known for tender, juicy meats, this was really unexpected. The salad and hot bar were well-stocked and fresh, and the service staff was polite and attentive. However, at $62.95 per person, the value just didn't match the quality. It's also more expensive than their competitor across from International Mall, which I've found to be more consistent when it comes to properly cooked meats. The cheese bread which is normally my favorite as it's made fresh ...tasted stale and chewy. I barely tasted the gin in my lavender cocktail. Our server was polite but seemed pretty inexperienced .not bad, just not as smooth or attentive as I'd expect. Once we were done eating and the table had already been cleared, it still took about 15 minutes just to get our check, which felt unnecessarily long for a self serve dinner. Overall, I left feeling underwhelmed and disappointed. For the price point, I expected much better execution from the kitchen. I'm hoping this was just an off night, because the potential is definitely there ...but at this level, the food should not be this overdone. read more

I have nothing, but positive things to say about Terra Gaucha. I had recently tried another Brazilian steakhouse and all I could think about is I can't wait to go back to Terra Gaucha. From the service of the men pushing in the chairs for the women, to the cinnamon pineapples and salad bar and of course we can't forget the meats! I love that they have a meat and seafood option. The parking is a small area, but I have never had trouble finding parking. They have the best lamb chops ever and I am never disappointed with the white rice and beans. Oh! Let me not forget the home made organic Arnold Palmer. I can go on and on about how great this place is, but we would be here for hours so for now please go and experience this yourself. Our waiter was incredibly nice and all of the staff that came around with the different cuts of meat were extremely friendly. I don't think I'll be going back here anytime soon as I found most of the food to just be ok but for an experience with friends it was worth it. The salad/side bar was replenished and groomed every few minutes, the salad and side items were perfectly prepared and very high quality. The meat variety and quality were 5star. Every skewer was delicious and the meats were cooked so patrons could choose from a variety of doneness and temperatures. Everything was seasoned and we didn't require any condiments. We ate dinner here for the first time today. I usually don't like these styles of steakhouses as it takes forever to get what you're looking for - but not here! They had the food coming nonstop and consistently were asking if there was something we were looking for, which is exactly what you want at a Brazilian Streak house. I asked for lamb, and not even a minute later I had what I asked for in the temperature I specified. We had every meat we wanted with minutes and we were so impressed. They are also detail oriented in other way. My purse was on the table, someone stopped by and asked if I wanted to move it to a chair, I said yes and he even covered it with a napkin to protect it. That's next level service! Every single staff member was so eager to help us so it felt like we had 10 waiters to ourselves. Not even Michelin star restaurants we've been to have this level of service. Told us our table would be ready in 5-10 mins so we decided to wait at the bar and have a drink while we waited. Restaurant looked busy for a Thursday, but the wait was not bad. Gave us time to enjoy our drink and chat. Now we have been to many Brazilian steakhouses, this one was not my favorite. The salad/side bar was very underwhelming and not exciting at all, even though everything tasted fresh. The meat selection was not as good as I expected, they only had about 4-5 cuts going around. Wish they had a better selection of meat. We didn't know who our server was, we were being helped by 3 different servers, who helped us with drinks and the check. Overall, I had a good experience with my wife, but don't think the price is worth the experience. There are better Brazilian steakhouses with better selection for about the same price. read more

The service was above and beyond my expectations. Greed by two warm hosts and seated right away. Tall ceilings, open, and classic floor plan. The proteins were okay, nothing stood out or outstanding. We had the chocolate lava cake ( the ice on top was very good and made up for the dryness of the cake,) and crème brûlée . I enjoyed the mini food bar most of all. My 27-yr old son is a carnivore, not a picky eater, but he barely ate anything. He said the meat was either overcooked, dry, tasteless, or too gaming. I forgot to take photos. I've been to many rodizios (e.g. Fogo de Chao, Brazilian / Portuguese restaurants in The Ironbound in NJ). I must admit, this spot takes the crown for being the best rodizio I've ever had. As usual, the meal starts with being provided with yuca fries, banana, mashed potatoes and Brazilian bread. The salad bar has plenty of options too. The selections of meat was incredible. Beef ribs, lambchops, salmon, chicken drumstick, ribeye, sirloin, picanha , garlic steak, etc. Everything was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. It wasn't overly salted like other spots I've been to. If I could provide management with any feedback, it would be to consider adding other meats to the selection such as chicken heart, leg of lamb and chicken thigh. Maybe those options are offered but I didn't see it being passed around or available. Another nice touch was having chimichurri, hot sauce and mint jelly for the meat. It was the first time I had mint jelly. It may not be homemade but I wished it to have pieces of mint or to be homemade. We celebrated our daughter's birthday. The complimentary chocolate cake was greatly appreciated. One of our favorite items towards the end was the grilled cheese and grilled pineapple. The grilled cheese had a cinnamon sugar coating and melted in your mouth. The grilled pineapple was perfect. I look forward to next time trying their desserts (e.g. passion fruit mousse, creme brule, flan). Perfect dinner spot for any occasion! My waiter was great, but don't remember his name. I love trying new places and getting to know the area! Who doesn't love a good Brazilian steak house either?!? Upon arrival I was quite shocked to see it is in a store front in a strip mall, but after walking inside it is a completely different vibe. With white table clothes, super attentive service, and highs scale food you are taken to another level. We made a reservation the day of and when we arrived we were immediately seated-- even when the restaurant was quite busy for a Monday night! Our server was super attentive to plate clearing, drinks, ensuring we got the food we wanted. One of my favorite things about a Brazilian steak house is being able to pick and choose the types of meat you get or just eating the "salad bar." This night we chose both and it did not disappoint. My favorites were the flank steak and garlic steak! The flank steak was super juicy and served thinly sliced to perfection and the garlic steak was more on the dense side but the flavor was unmatched! Now the salad bar was hit or miss in my opinion. Not the options weren't good but some items you had to have an acquired taste for. I love the sweet potatoes and the little garnishes they served, but my absolute favorite thing of the night was the lobster bisque! It was so creamy and has small chunks of lobster in it! It was the perfect temperature and had so much flavor. I had two bowls of that alone and I could've had more if I wasn't so full already! I will say some pieces of meat were more on the dry side such as lamb (as it sometimes is) but it wasn't terrible. I preferred the steak options and had multiple servings of each! Both of our drinks were delightful and super tasty! I highly recommend checking the place out if you are wanting a HEAVY dinner, but do advise that it is more on the higher priced scale. read more

They even noticed the meat and cuts I loved and always said yes to, so even when my card was flipped to "No", they'd come and offer it to me. They knew I couldn't resist! The cuts of meat were amazing, great salad bar and appetizers too. My absolute favorite of the night was the picanha (sirloin cap), followed closely by the chicken sausages, the bacon wrapped chicken, and the cheese and honey. Everything was so good though, it's hard to choose. They even asked if I liked it rare vs medium, and either had different pieces on the skewer cooked differently, or would select where they cut from based on my preference. We got there when they reopened for dinner, and it did quickly get quite loud and packed. It was hard to hear right across a 2 person table. They also sat a couple with a 2 lb chihuahua in a cone next to us... Not great. I would expect more standards from such a nice restaurant, very unsanitary and unprofessional. Came out to about $90 per person including tip, with no drinks or desserts. I was looking in the area for a good churrasco experience, and this place totally delivered on food and service, with ambiance needing a bit of a tweak to truly make it perfect. read more

There is a large and extensive salad and charcuterie bar. We made a small plate of the most delicious items, so as not to fill up prior to the steak. The waiters come around to each table one after the other with many types of steak, chicken, pork and seafood. They slice the meat at your table. They place mash potatoes and sautéed plantains on your table. The food and service were excellent. You can eat at your own pace, without feeling rushed There is a full bar and a desert menu at additional cost. Plenty of parking right out in front. read more

I've been to similar Churroscarro restaurants with very similar menus. While the food was decent it fell short for the price you pay. The salad bar was the main star of the show. We had a large party attend and while the buttons for No or Yes clearly help indicate if we are ready for meat or not, no one apparently utilizes the from a staff perspective. The service from our waiter was sub par- ranging from just his non friendly exasperated personality to not helping one of our group members open a bottle of prosecco, the manager actually came by to help her instead. The meat while plentiful lacked depth of flavor and was slightly over cooked. The meat variety was not as plentiful as other churascarro locations IMO. And even the main birthday boy of our group had a heard time getting people to come by to bring meat. read more
