We had a private room for an event at the back. Every time the door opened, the noises were quite loud outside. I liked the cozy room. The waiters were very polite and kept filling up our waters and asking us if we wanted more drinks. The food was very good. Fresh and tasty - I had the fish (only one they ordered it ;) - it was very healthy too with edamame and mushrooms.

Stopped in here last night. Wife and I agreed that the best thing they had going for them was the service. Kristin was very attentive, personable and made good recommendations. The ambiance and upscale was a plus. The food was good. The Korean Fried Chicken was cooked perfectly with crisp, flavor and pizazz. The soy glazed brussel sprouts and collar-flower were amazing. The Shrimp/MacCheese was a little underwhelming. Would definitely go back. Sad we did not save room for desserts as they sounded decadent.

This has become my anniversary dinner spot. I love how low-key it is. It is a underrated spot in Tampa and it really deserves five stars. The steak is absolutely phenomenal. I have the Delmonico prepared medium and it's seriously hits every single time. The Caesar salad salad was so fresh and crunchy and they make their own dressing which I really enjoyed. The service was nice and simple very lovely to have and quick. And the ambience just feels like I'm in a hotel. A nice one though I really enjoy it Here will be back.

I went solo to try this restaurant out and was greeted with a smile and positive energy from the beginning. I had the NY steak and it was delicious. The service was exceptional and the ambiance was my favorite part. Their cocktails are good as well!

We made a last minute reservation to celebrate our anniversary. Didn't know what to expect here but were pleasantly surprised. This is on the first floor of the JW Marriott Water Street. It was super quiet at 5pm but we were told it picks up around 7. I tried the crab bisque and was very happy with it. The bisque itself was creamy and flavorful. I feel like it was a decent amount of meat. But they put this chili oil in there that gave a nice slow burn. Not a huge kick but it added something and made it stand out. For our meal, we tried the prime rib eye. My husband loved it. I thought it was good, but not great. A tad under-seasoned, a tad dry. Not bad by any means - it was good, I just know it could be better. I really rate the meat by how it stands on its own. However, the sauces made it more enjoyable. We tried the peppercorn (which I thought I would prefer). I can't place why, but I just wouldn't order it again. It's really nothing wrong with it, but after trying their Driftlight sauce - that's the way to go. It has Gochujang in it, and added a pleasant subtle heat. The creamed corn was excellent. The charred broccolini was a little too charred for my taste, but overall everything was pretty good. For our 10 year anniversary, they just popped a handwritten card on the table. Nice it was recognized but a lot of other places go a bit more above and beyond. All that said - they did get us in and out for our dessert reservations elsewhere, so the timing was excellent! I was pleased considering it was a last minute reservation, but I don't think I'd go out of my way except for that crab bisque! I'd be willing to give it another shot though.

Amazing steak house. We tried cocktails too and those were amazing. Crab and lobster cake I would say that would be my favourite. Amazing vibe and nice service. They make sure you are doing good. Love steak and lambchops. I loved the lamb chops. Those gonna be my favourite too. Lots of variety in drinks too. It's in JW Marriott just across the street of Tampa Marriott street. Amazing vibe and must try if you are around in Tampa and love to eat great food. Nice place for foodies

Ate here twice during our stay. Breakfast buffet was horrendous and overpriced. Salmon tasted old. $36+ for the buffet. Dinner was far better. Filet mignon was what you'd expect from a proper steak house. Decent crust, cooked to order. Lacked some flavor. Sides were OK. Seafood Tower was impressive. Best part of the meal. Good service. For the price, they could step up their game. And the breakfast needs to be complete reimagined. Thank You for Your Attention to this Matter

Came for a big birthday party, and the server and service was great! The staff was patient, kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable. The food was definitely worth the buzz! We had a table full of different cuts of steak, premium sides (creamed spinach, creamed corn, Brussels sprouts, asparagus, etc). The champagne cocktail was my favorite drink! Bubbly, refreshing, and full of cognac! The ambiance was classy, intimate, polished, and welcoming. Definitely will come back!

Highly recommend. Had the Burrata and tomato appetizer. Nothing short of heavenly. Entree was the halibut. Super flakey and super fresh. Next time im in Tampa I will be back.

The service here was impeccable. The wait staff, the management, the sommelier, and the chef all came by the table. The atmosphere is casual fine dining, so it's elegant but not stuffy. As for the food, everything was flavorful and robust. I had the wedge salad, the filet medium rare, and the creamed corn with a spicy old-fashioned. Superb food with exquisite care.

Stopped in here for breakfast during my staycation at the JW Marriott. Waitress immediately served me coffee which I loved. I gave her some options because I couldn't decide what to order and she suggested the Brüléed Toast which was amazing. Combing French Toast with Crème Brûlée is genius and if you love sweets, I recommend trying this option.

We had a large group come here for dinner with a lot of our coworkers. Our director had made a reservation before hand which I do recommend - although we came on a Thursday night of a big conference. We got seated in the big back table and it was very fancy. The place was a nice vibe - good lighting not too dim. For food - we decided to get a bunch of items to share for appetizers: -Calamari : so delicious - recommend this, so crispy and good -Crabcakes: This was meh to me and I would pass on ordering this again -Bread plate: SO DELICIOUS, it was sweet potato bread and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this -For the main meal - my coresident and I shared the Tomahawk rib eye with the garlic butter and wedge salad to start; absolutely delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection and the garlic butter made everything so much better. We also got a side of corn which was so good! -For dessert we got the espresso cheesecake which came with a side of chips ; the sweet and salty flavors were very unique but the cheesecake was a little on the heavier side for me. Overall - great food and great vibes; highly recommend checking this place out.

Went for our anniversary dinner and overall had a nice meal. Service was lacking enthusiasm and attentiveness. The food was consistent with previous visits, everything was hot and seemed fresh. My steak temperature was more towards medium instead of medium rare (as ordered). Nothing terrible and not worth sending back but definitely continued to rest/cook up to medium on the plate. Driftlight offered complementary carrot cake for dessert since we were celebrating which was a nice touch. After this latest visit, I do think Driftlight ranks fairly low Tampa Steakhouse scene being bested by the likes of Meat Market, Bern's, and even Ruth's Chris from a food quality and service standpoint.

The CAPPELLACCI ALL'ARAGOSTA was also really delicious and flavorful so you can't go wrong with those two pasta dishes. They do have a separate dessert menu though. Just a heads up though it's like you're getting an authentic Italian dinner experience so don't expect to get in and out fast.

The inside space is simply decorated. I didn't notice any outdoor seating. The decorations are kept simple as the food does the talking! It was very cold inside the restaurant, almost uncomfortably cold. I highly recommend bringing a sweater. I had to put my napkin on to keep my arms warm and the table next to me asked the server to turn the temperature up. Bathrooms: I used their unisex bathroom. It sounds like they also have a mens and a women's bathroom too. The bathroom was nice and clean! Service: Our server Daniel was AMAZING! He was so kind, knowledgable, and passionate about his job. He was so warm and inviting. He gave us an excellent tour of the menu and was very knowledgeable about every single dish. Everyone we encountered was so friendly and professional. I have to give 4 stars for service because one of our bread knives was dirty and it took almost 30 minutes to get the drinks we ordered. As a Michelin star restaurant, you expect perfection. Food: We really loved all the dishes we ordered. I can definitely say that Rocca has very good / top notch food for Tampa. For our starters we ordered the 'Shrimp Fritti' and 'Broccolini'. The shrimp was very good, it was light and packed with lots of flavor. My favorite dish of the entire night was the broccolini. The dish was beautifully presented and had so many different flavors that melded together. It was so good. Highly recommend. We also ordered their bread which was so good, I loved the whipped butter that came with it. For entrees, we tried their 'Cappellacci all' Arrogosta' which I enjoyed. The pasta was a beautiful pink color and delicious. My husband tried their 'Tortello all' Uovo' which he enjoyed. I preferred his pasta dish to mine. The lobster pasta was a little on the sweet side for me but still delicious. For dessert, we tried their 'Burnt Cheesecake' and their 'Riso Al Latte' dessert. The burnt cheesecake was delicious, I would've been fine with the cheesecake alone. I didn't really get the plantains that came with it. The strawberry dessert was my favorite dessert. It was salty and sweet and had the perfect notes of basil mixed in. It definitely made us even more cold and itching to get out of the restaurant. We also received a lemon curd zeppole which was delicious and a caccio e Pepe chocolate with a blackberry candy at the end. Both were good. For drinks, I had the 'Watermelon Spritz' it was more on the savory side but good. I didn't like the thyme piece that keep hitting me in the face. My husband got their 'Lime In The Coconut' mocktail which he enjoyed. Overall, we really enjoyed our dinner here and would love to come back. We didn't try their meat dishes because they Iook like they are big enough to share with a party of 4! Also, bring a sweater if you're sensitive to cold spaces!

I didn't realize until the morning I planned to go that they weren't open until 5. I also had no clue that there is usually a lineup of people waiting to get in as early as 4pm. I knew we were unlikely to get into the main restaurant but didn't know how the whole lounge seating thing worked or that the valet was required (unless you somehow manage to find street parking but that's largely non-existent so... ok) Anyway, arrived right after 5pm on Saturday after lots of on and off rain - which I was also hoping might scare people away? Who was I kidding - and even getting into the valet line was a struggle but we worked it out. Our valet attendant didn't seem convinced we would be able to be seated but as luck would have it, walked in and after checking in at the welcome stand we were seated in the lounge in about 7 minutes. Success! From there, things only got better. Our lounge server was Abdul and he was PHENOMENAL. Mom ordered the filet and I got the chateaubriand tips. The soup and salad were almost enough that we didn't need the entree but that entree. Wow. The steak was worth all fuss, sides were also terrific and we scored a nice portion to take home for leftovers. This was meant to be an early Mother's Day dinner, and I expect well plan the same for next year and by that I mean actually work on getting a reservation so the whole winging it thing doesn't have to happen. 10 stars and worth the trip!

It felt comfortable, elevated, and easy to enjoy a full meal without feeling overwhelmed or rushed. Our server was training someone, but you couldn't even tell--it was so professional. One thing I noticed was how many people work there, and I really hope it stays that way. Each staff member had a specific role, and it made the entire service feel seamless. There was no rushing and no stress on the servers. You could tell they really enjoyed what they were doing. They also offer complimentary valet, and you can even Venmo a tip, which made arrival and departure super easy. At the end of our meal, someone even came to box up our food for us--we didn't have to do it ourselves. Very old school NY!!! Top-tier service. As for the food: the oysters we had were flavorful, and the garlic bread selection was soft and not overly heavy on the garlic. My friend ordered the scallops with risotto and crispy prosciutto, and I ordered the special chicken Parmesan with a side of spaghetti in a lemon sauce that they suggested. I was in the mood for a lemon-flavored pasta, and they absolutely delivered. Both plates were phenomenal. I wish they had a place like this in Orlando. I also wish the chicken parm would always be a special because that sauce was delicious. Growing up in Brooklyn, I've had some really good Italian food--and I would absolutely come back here. I'd give service five stars and food five stars. Thank you for a great meal--you did not disappoint.

Our server greeted us promptly, and we started the evening with a chilled bottle of Pinot Noir and the meatball starter. The presentation with the polenta was beautiful, and the flavor was outstanding. For our entrées, we enjoyed the lemon fettuccine with lobster, the honey ham pizza, and the wild arugula salad. Every dish was excellent -- fresh, balanced, and full of flavor. Dessert was just as memorable: a chocolate gelato and a pistachio gelato topped with espresso. A perfect finish. What made the night truly meaningful was the kindness of the serving staff and the manager, who took the time to greet us and make our anniversary feel genuinely special. Olivia helped create a memory we'll always cherish. We'll definitely be back!

Ok. For context I'm a foodie and a snob when it comes to restaurants. This place is just plain…read morecool. Little speakeasy. Little high end restaurant. I am also a sucker for egg white drinks. If you've never had one you are not living. Then there is the wine. They have Cade from Howell Mountain. So hard to find and one of the best. I will come back every time I am in town. It is way up there on my lists as I travel.

We originally planned on bringing some family here for their anniversary but that plan feel through so we made it into a friends catch up dinner. Right off the back LOVED our server Nimah. She was funny, helpful, and attentive. And they are on top of refilling your water so you will never go thirsty. I'm not much of a drinker, so I don't have much to say on that matter. The ambiance was nice. A lot of eclectic paintings on the walls. And loved the outfits of the servers. Very 20's speakeasy. There is a live jazz band that started performing at 7 pm. They were good but at some points it was a bit difficult to speak and listen to those at your table unless you got really close. My meal hit the spot. We started with a charcuterie board for the table. It had a lot of great options like dried apricots, actual honeycomb pieces, and my most favorite cheese, some Brie cheese. The only thing was there was only 4 pieces of bread, one for each of us, which wasn't enough but I guess it made sense not to fill us up too much. For my main meal I had the sweet potato salad which was very tasty and the sweet potato risotto, which a little spicy kick. The only thing I missed was the Brussels sprouts and potatoes but was told that was from the previous chef. But they serve you enough so you definitely will have left overs. Not a big fan of eating in the lounge areas, those are best just for drinks and maybe desserts. But it's definitely a great place to people watch. You will definitely have a meal and a show no matter what. Hopefully can schedule another time to bring my family because I know they would love it.
