Got a few apps to share and the Smash Burger. The burger was really good and the old-fashioned was also really good. The service was good, she checked on us often and had great recommendations. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a valet option for $7. The restaurant dining area was decorated nicely and very modern.

Had The best service at dinner here! The place is nice and quiet and upscale, great for a special night out. I loved my mocktail Howard and no haven. The green beans were perfectly cooked, loved that they had a vegetarian option for entree, and definitely want to save room for dessert next time!

We tend to give a new restaurant a couple months before we show up, letting them work out the kinks. Howard & Platt was an exception, and they earned it. Opening week and moving like they've been open a year. Live piano set the mood as soon as we walked in. Francesca ran our table like a pro. Wife had the espresso martini, I had the Midnight Manhattan. Both on point. Garlic bread and whipped feta to start. Feta could use a little more whip, however the honey and peppers make up the difference fast. Then the crispy tuna rice and the lobster tempura roll. Flavor coming at you from every angle. That pineapple salsa on the lobster roll had a char on it I'm still thinking about. Miso glazed black cod closed it out. Close to a perfect bite as it gets, the kind of dish that makes the rest of the table go quiet for a second. Smashed it like a Greek restaurant... OPA! (No plates were harmed.) Dessert was the Funky Blonde, a butter cake with soft serve. Great combo. Only ask: send the cake back to the oven for a couple minutes before plating. For a first week, this crew was humming. That's not luck. That's a team that showed up. Quality is never an accident. We'll be back sooner than later. West Side, Best Side.

Opening night at Howard & Platt! The restaurant is gorgeous with very elevated SoHo vibes. Valet is available behind the restaurant. We decided to grab seats at the bar, which turned out to be a great choice. Roger and Ryland provided top-tier service, and the live music struck the perfect balance. You could actually enjoy it while still having a conversation. We started with espresso martinis. Their version is on the sweeter side, so I'd either ask for a less sweet variation or save it for dessert. The house-made bread with the garlic Parmesan butter was probably my favorite bite of the night. We also ordered the whipped feta. The flavor was great, but the texture was surprisingly grainy, which isn't something I've experienced with whipped feta elsewhere. The hamachi crudo was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The serrano added the perfect punch of heat. My only note is that the fish itself was served closer to room temperature than I'd expect. It would have been much better served well chilled. My husband practically licked the plate clean after the miso-glazed cod. The bok choy was perfectly cooked, and it's safe to say we'll be back for that dish alone. The chicken thighs were flavorful, but next time I'd ask for them to be removed from the skewers before serving. There was nothing cute about me trying to manhandle them off the stick with a fork. It's safe to say whoever created the dessert menu really loves Magic Shell. It's on four of the five desserts, so if that's your thing, you'll have plenty to choose from. Overall, it's a beautiful new addition to the neighborhood with excellent service, a great atmosphere, and several standout dishes. Looking forward to seeing how it settles in after opening week.

Live piano and vocal music in a GF conscious place. The baked potato and crab shrimp rigatoni (per my friend) was amazing! I really love how the baked the potato contained creamy, hand mashed contents! The rainbow roll was super meaty. The shrimp avocado and hamachi was super fresh, yet room temp- so a bit "warm", if that translates. It is summer in Florida tho. My friend loves smash burgers and gives this one a 4.5 on a very tough scale- which is awesome! The menu is new American with a Greek and Asian touch which is confusing my group. The music was chill, piano- sleepy time. Music is important so pick a genre and LFG (: Our server was fire: thank u Julia! I will BRB 4 sho.

Great addition to the SoHo area. Food was pretty good - my favorite was the steak bowl and bread service. The service was a bit slow along with loud atmosphere- but they just opened so I would definitely come back. Very pretty interior and lots of menu options. Excited to have this in Tampa!

Still have some kinks to work out. Service was slow brought out the wrong food and parking was a mess. The bar looks cool for football days. I would go back on a different day.

Scheduled a brunch reservation earlier in the week for a Sunday to check out this new spot! When we arrived, the restaurant was mostly empty during the early brunch hours with the exception of a couple of tables being served. This quickly changed after about 30 to 40 minutes. I chose to valet $10 as there was absolutely no street parking available. The decor of this restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The server was great, you can definitely tell there was training on the menu and that she had tasted many of the items to offer suggestions. We went with the feta dip for an appetizer and split the steak and eggs. Honestly this was a great portion for two people. I would say my only critique is I wish the feta dip was a bit thicker inconsistency. I really think this type of dip is so much better to spread, however, the flavor was good. The drinks were mixed well, I believe we ordered Hugo Spritz. Overall, great restaurant and I would definitely like to return to try some of their dinner items.

We sat at the bar and were happily surprised that they had a happy hour and brunch this coming weekend. We ordered the Hamachi Crudo, cheeseburger and meatballs, and it was all delicious! Brady, our bartender was great. The new buildout is beautiful and inviting. It's a great addition to the neighborhood!

Brunch menu: Breakfast sandwich with sausage, beef and pork meatballs, and cinnamon sugar donuts - all yummy

Didn't need all the micro greens for garnish on top but this could be overlooked because taste and flavor was amazing. The tuna tartare was super tasty as well and I would definitely order this again same comment for micro greens on this dish - didn't need this and found myself moving it off the dishes to actually enjoy the item. The two not so favorite dishes for me were the fried rice topped with fried chicken. While chicken was very tasty the rice was extremely basic. Could have used eggs or other ingredients to elevate this dish. Also the Volcano roll was extremely disappointing. Normally the volcano topping is cooked or (torched) and this topping was cold and very unappetizing. Would not recommend this roll. Overall this place is a hit or miss. Food is terrible - they even forgot the egg as a part of my ramen and brought me a frozen egg when I mentioned the missing item which was disgusting. Octopus is so tough and chewy. Terribly cooked from frozen. Mango sticky rice is absolutely horrendous. Nothing like what you expect. Temperature is terrible - they don't use A/C so it's incredibly hot and humid in restaurant. Avoid this place at all costs.

We also love Hyde Park and it's just so nice to walk around that area before or after your meal. We started off with cocktails -- I went with the pomelo (nikka coffey gin, aperol, grapefruit, szechuan peppercorn) and she got the shinshun (sparkling sake, yuzu extract, & honey). We both really enjoyed our drinks. For appetizers, we shared the wagyu gyoza and I also got a couple pieces of nigiri -- Hokkaido Hotate (scallop) and the otoro (fatty tuna belly). Yum! We both ordered sushi rolls (maki) for our mains. I got the Ro signature roll which has spicy tuna, avocado, and hamachi. My sis got the classic tempura shrimp roll topped with crispy potato chips which was a nice twist. We definitely got our sushi fix! The end of every meal comes with a complimentary sweet surprise and I'm so glad we saved just enough room for dessert. They make their own ice cream in-house and have fun rotating flavor combinations. I can't remember the exact flavor we had, but it had a passion fruit ganache on top with some crumble topping and it was phenomenal! Some of the best ice cream I've ever had. That alone is worth going back for.

We checked out a bunch of different restaurants, but they were all booked up. So, we ended up booking Wagamama for our dinner on Sunday night. After finding roadside parking near the restaurant, we checked in at the register and were shown to our table. Our server greeted us and provided us with menus. Following a discussion among ourselves and with our server, we began our order with a lychee martini and a coconut drift for drinks. For appetizers, we selected the Bang Bang Cauliflower, which our server highlighted as a very popular option, along with chicken pot stickers. For our main courses, we ordered the chicken pad Thai, Karage Chicken Strips for our toddler and the chicken firecracker dishes. Our drinks arrived first: a Lychee Martini and a Coconut Drift. The Lychee Martini contained a significant amount of vodka, so much that my spouse could only manage two sips. The Coconut Drift was better, but it still had an excessive amount of sugar. We got our Bang Bang Cauliflower appetizer. However, upon tasting it, we found it wasn't cooked properly. It tasted like they simply coated the cauliflower with sauce without properly cooking it. We were disappointed to have to return it. Following that, our chicken pot stickers arrived. The chicken pot stickers were just okay, without anything particularly noteworthy about them. They weren't even properly cooked around the edges. Both appetizers we ordered turned out to be disappointing. Our dinner arrived and included Pad Thai and Chicken Firecracker. Both dishes were just alright; they could have been better. Compared to how other reviews described them, they didn't live up to the expectations set by those reviews. We couldn't get the Chicken Karage Strips we wanted for dinner. We ended up having to comp the whole thing because even though the restaurant wasn't that full (only about 70-75% empty), we had to wait a super long time for the food to be ready. Our visit to Wagamama was so disappointing that we may not return. We were unhappy with the food, the service, and the atmosphere.
